I offered this positive review below a month ago and when I returned to this store this weekend and encountered the GM Hope for first time since the review she wasn't able to acknowledge or offer appreciation. I asked if she saw the review below and says she's been busy then became argumentative. While the named supervisors below have offered me stellar service on my visits, I unfortunately do not receive the same level of support from this Manager who anytime I ask for her assistance or support for my longstanding patronage, I get rebuffed. Fortunately Hope has some staff dedicated to their jobs despite her negative attitude. ************* I've been patronizing this Starbucks in my neighborhood for over 15 years and it's one of the higher volume locations so when I consistently experience great customer service and hospitality it's especially impressive. I had a Starbucks gift card to use so I came here! The very berry matcha was lowkey fire I fear. The place is open late (10) which I loved because I was here to study. I forgot if there was music but if there is it's quiet. Decent amount of seating and outlets. Workers are nice. In my opinion, the only drink appropriate for a mid-summer day was the vennti sized blended strawberry lemonade. I really wasn't in the mood for a coffee at 12 in the afternoon, and this fruit drink fit the bill. I ordered it on the and by the time I got here five minutes later, it was there waiting for me. My friend ordered the capuchino, and without a blink we were off to the races. The cafe is pretty nice inside, and it seemed like it was pretty busy when we got there. I have to say this is a pretty cozy Starbucks. It's not as big as other locations but they do a decent job for seating and utilizing space with outlets. Food is pretty standard to all other locations. My go to has been the cheese-danish lately. I ordered a tall iced matcha and they did a pretty good job of filling it to the rim of my cup! This review is for how this location is operating during the pandemic. I appreciate great customer service and positive attitudes, particularly during these truly challenging times and *especially* when having to deal with the occasional if inexplicable cranky, inconsiderate and rude customer. Since the Wildwood Starbucks location opened back up, I've been by four or five times now (only when running essential trips to the grocery store) and on one of those occasions, another customer has expressed impatience and pulled down her mask to yell at the young lady manning the door while another time, a gentleman not only parked his black fancy BMW at the curb in the thruway in front of the store but then walked right up to the door ignoring all the other customers patiently waiting and socially distanced (then stood there waiting even though his order was not ready). Through it all, the Starbucks staff kept a smile on and interacted civilly and professionally with everyone. Great job, guys! So thankful I can still get an occasional latte fix and appreciate your work! read more

Holiday drink was made wrong! We ordered the peppermint mocha but didn't get a peppermint mocha lol. The staff were nice about rectifying that mistake though. My local Starbucks that never disappoints. Located in the same shopping plaza of CVS & Balduccci's, this store offers a comfortable layout, a tidy restroom & friendly employees on a consistent. The Mobile Pick Up is pretty active here & rarely do I have to wait for my order. Might sound minuscule, yet the bakery case is well organized & without expired items on display as some locations don't rotate accordingly. The only nuisance is with all the seating available, they are highly occupied & with the lack of kindly yielding to other guests who want to sit for a few. We stopped into the Starbucks in Bethesda MD at the Wildwood Shopping Center. After ordering and sitting down, we noticed it was FREEZING cold. We asked fellow patrons sitting around us if they felt it. Everyone agreed. We spoke to the Asian man with pink hair. He seemed to be supervising as he was ordering the baristas around pointing vigorously at different work stations. He said. "We have to keep the store this cold for the benefit of the coffee beans." We visit Starbucks stores every day in the DC, MD, VA area. None of them are air conditioned to this degree. His beans are happy. His guests are shivering. His explanation was bizarre. read more

After I ordered my drink I had to wait 15-20 minutes and when I told them it's been 15 minutes sense I ordered they JUST started to make my drink and barely put any of the refresher in and shoved the whole cup with ice. Felt for the cashier as he was doing an exceptional job. The BOGO special was available. I had not used the APP nor gotten Starbucks at all that DAY for that matter. The cashier asked the manager in charge to see what she could do. The manager didn't care to approach the cash register to see what she could do or honor the discount. She simply looked at me and automatically said she can't help. Felt discriminated and unvalued as a customer. I am disappointed at her lack of customer service. This Starbucks location is usually packed! A very busy one, that's for sure. Service is quick, so no problem there, though. They usually make my drinks, iced or hot, really well. Space inside is good, too. A lot of people go to hang out. Also noticed a variety of selection of food items, maybe a little more than other locations. Customer Service is great, too. I was headed up to see a concert in Rockville Monday evening and I was really starting to feel my eyelids droop. I was ready for coffee from anywhere - I pulled into a small retail complex called "Wildwood Center." Lo and behold - the famed liquid crack dispenser - known to the world as Starbucks was part of the center. I was trying to get into the Christmas spirit - as I was going to see a Christmas Holiday Concert. So I ordered my first Grande Eggnog Latte of the season. Delicious! Was perfectly made! I drank it waayyyyyyy to fast. But the caffeine was needed to get me through the rest of the evening. Lots of seating in here - and a T-mobile wireless internet connection. From Tiffany, Roy, Roni, Ricardo, Logan, Daniel to Aysha, Wildwood's many capable and courteous baristas help to keep things efficiently rolling through the caffeine rush hours such as during the morning and mid-afternoon. In addition, the inviting and open layout of Wildwood makes it a favorite place of me and my dining companion to hang out for slowly sipping beverages, a light lunch, or conducting interviews alike. Recently, a new main attraction has been Tiffany's Frappuccino, a custom beverage that she crafted for us and perfected after only a few visits. Starting with the Mango-Dragonfruit refresher and Coconut Milk as the base, it is superbly refreshing, pleasingly fragrant, stunningly magenta hued, and very gently sweet. As we continue to navigate the Social Distancing mandate, Starbucks is still serving the Wildwood community. Mobile App orders only and the employees have a good system in place for the "No Contact Pick Up" process. There's no access to inside, but when your order is ready the Barista will call your name and place it on the table situated in the middle of door. The protection barrier serves as a make shift pick up window. Keep it mind if there's a line forming, that means you arrived ahead of your order being ready. As a former SB Barista, I appreciate the employee's patience, composure and friendly service while enduring some of the lesser friendly and impatient customers. read more

This is a really solid Starbucks location. The staff are friendly and relatively quick, and it's easy to tell where the mobile orders are vs the regular orders. My drink tasted as expected, and unlike some locations, they actually filled it to the top and not completely with ice either. There is plenty of parking out front, at least in the morning, and it's close to Bethesda Bagels if you want to pick up breakfast as well. I haven't stayed here to work yet, but it wasn't very loud when I went in, and I saw others comfortably working. There were a lot of mobile orders, so if people tend to distract you, it's perhaps not as good of a place to work, but if that's not a bother, you should be fine. As for Starbucks itself, my stance is always that they're a bit pricy, but worth it to treat yourself, especially with some of the Star deals. My fall fave is the pumpkin cream cold brew, but you can never go wrong with a classic macchiato in any season. read more

I use to work at Starbucks so I have a higher expectation of Starbucks. I can tell immediately if the baristas are performing under their protocol. We ordered our first holiday drink of the season, a peppermint mocha, extra hot with no foam. We ended up getting a lukewarm drink with no foam or toppings which was quite disappointing. However when I brought it up to the barista, they remade the drink with no questions asked. I can appreciate this high quality service but the baristas need to work on the quality of their drinks esp when they're more than $5 a piece. read more

I've been here 4-5 times to get coffee and each time it's bad. I keep coming back at various times because it's convenient for me and get different drinks, but somehow it gets worse each time. This Starbucks is in a nice little Plaza with ample parking. I visited after 7pm and got a space in the front. There is plenty of seating inside. It was well lit and may be perfect if your trying to get some work done. This was very different for me than most other Starbucks that have less lighting. I did a mobile order for brewed tea and a little sugar free syrup. By the time I arrived it should have been ready, but it wasnt. I stood in the mobile pickup area while a couple customers ahead of me were getting their order. After a while I was finally acknowledged and asked what I was waiting on. I have been to this Starbucks on multiple occasions and have generally had a good experience. Coffee drinks are made to code. I dislike the burnt taste of espresso shot that has been sitting too long waiting for the milk to be added, and I did not get this at this location :) They even grind the coffee correctly to the type of my machine (french press). Its surprising that employees at quite a few Starbucks locations never bother to make the correct selection when grinding the coffee beans! read more

All Starbucks' we're NOT created equal! I stopped in because it was on my way and was slightly annoyed that they don't have a drive-thru (which is DC's fault not Starbucks)! Had to deduct a star since went in last week on a rainy day to grab a bite and hot tea. Not even with the extra counter space was there a seat to be had. Half the tables were occupied by twenty something's with lap tops spread out and not a coffee cup in sight. I know it is a coffee house but it really is not a library or second ( or first) home to spend all day. The manager needs to encourage patrons to extend a courtesy to people who need a place to sit or eat.I had to take my food and drink out in the rain to my car after waiting 15 minutes for some movement by a laptop person which was not happening. read more
