With one of these sitting on your desk (hiding a slice of sweet potato cake inside), you know you're going to have a good day!

My 'neighborhood Starbucks' is, by far, the best Starbucks location in the area. The café itself is brighter and airier than most Starbucks locations, since it has huge plate glass windows along three sides and high ceilings, making it a very inviting space. More importantly, the staff and baristas here are great. Unlike other nearby locations where the folks behind the counter treat their customers with all the courtesy of airline gate agents (I'm looking at you, Wildwood), the folks at the NoBe location are always courteous and quite friendly, and if you're just even a semi-regular, they get to know your preferences incredibly quickly. The line always moves along at a good pace, and the baristas are great at their craft -- and this is one of the few Starbucks locations I know that actually can make a Frappucino the right way, producing a smooth, well-balanced drink. (Too often, at other locations, the mix is off, or they don't bother blending it well enough, making for a drink that's more like an ice milk rather than a frappe.) All in all, it's a really great outpost of our favorite Seattle coffee purveyor. Finally, a shout-out to the NoBe Starbucks manager, Anna -- she's always making sure that her customers are happy and well taken-care of, and she also sponsors a number of efforts that help out worthy community organizations. Well done, Anna!

Whenever I go to starbucks I never expect anything out of ordinary. There's no standard for me. I go in, I order, and if there's something wrong with it they always fix it. Today there was someone new that I ran into that works there. Her name is Anna. I walked in and she was dusting the shelves and greeted me immediately and asked how I was doing. She walked over to the register right away to take my order. She noticed I was wearing my scrub jacket which has my name on it. She asked just to make sure and wrote it down on my cups. I always order a tomato mozzarella and chai latte. I also picked up a sweetened passion tea lemonade. I request the same thing every single time. No foam on the latte and light ice on the lemonade. She ensured all of that, but what made me write this review was how kind she was! Her customer service was EXCEPTIONAL. She called me by my name up until I left. No one has ever done that before. "Miss Marwa, your drinks are ready for you." "Miss Marwa here is your sandwich!" I was so impressed and on top of that MY TOMATO MOZZARELLA CAME OUT SO BEAUTIFULLY. THE INGREDIENTS WERE ACTUALLY INSIDE THE SANDWICH SO NEATLY TUCKED INTO MY SANDWICH BAG. Do you know how much that means to me? Every time I get this sandwich whoever makes it for me throws it in the bag and when I get to work I open it and it's destroyed. I don't usually enjoy it the way anyone would like to. Anna, you made my experience today wonderful. You're amazing! Starbucks you are lucky to have her and so are we!

It was slightly busy but the line moved fairly quickly. The restaurant has a good amount of seating and a lot of people dining in were simply enjoying their weekend. Unfortunately I had to work so everything was to go for me. I would love to have the opportunity to just dine in one day. I also want to try their Virginia location since that recently opened as well. I'm also still waiting on their rainbow/chantilly filled croissant because it had to be the best pastry I've ever eaten. Would happily return here. Wish they had a punch card for their regular customers.

The Blackberry Pistachio Croissant was flaky and full of a sweet-tart house made blackberry compote and rich pistachio frangipane. For the hot tea, I got Island Mango just on the description - sweet bits of mango, pineapple, orange, safflower & hibiscus. It was served as decaf. Once I let it cool, it had a citrus taste, but not sweet. I am still glad to have tried it and did not have to wait long for the order. Within a block of leaving the business, while holding the hot cup with one hand (the sleeve only helped a little), some of the hot tea spilled on me suddenly (I now have a burned scar on my knuckle). I don't know if the cover was on right, or if my movements made the top come off. I couldn't blame anyone. I did go back and had them replace the top since the other fell on the ground outside. When they say "hot" tea, they are not lying. Moving forward, no more hot drinks for me.

I appreciated the variety of different flavors. I gave this place 4 stars for two reasons... 1. The price point was a bit high. I bought maybe 5-6 pastries and it came to just over $50. 2. Parking can be a nightmare depending when you come, especially on the weekends. There's a back lot and garage but even those fill up fairly quickly.

The sweets selection wasn't huge, but there was a decent variety. I tried the blueberry cheese danish, which was pretty good, along with a couple of cookies. I'd say the quality is a step above Paris Baguette, which I wasn't expecting. The customer service was excellent, and the café itself appeared clean and well maintained. My only little observation was the front glass doors and they could definitely use a cleaning. And why do I ALWAYS notice the windows and doors at restaurants and cafés? Go figure! Apparently, clean glass is one of my things. Overall, a cute spot with good service, decent pastries, and a nice atmosphere for coffee, tea, or getting a little work done.

I tried their taro donut filled with custard and I enjoyed the fact that it wasn't very sweet at all. Also ordered tiramisu and an iced strawberry matcha. Service could be a tad bit quicker is one thing I would work on but other than that it was a very good experience. There's some seating available inside for people to do work or just hang out. It's honestly a good location so I'm hoping they get more consistent business with all the new changes.

Offerings range from a beef curry bun, croissants, Portuguese tarts, and artichoke spinach bread. My personal favorite was the peach cloud donut. A sugared brioche dough, fried and split open like a sandwich, stuffed with a marshmallowy whipped cream and perfectly ripe peach slices. In a word: divine. I went back more than once to have it again. The way you select your pastures is by grabbing a tray and personal set of tongs, going down the display line to select what you'd like. You then bring your selections to the register and can order coffee or tea at that time as well. There are non-pastry items you can order as well, including a bento box around lunch time and their signature cloud pancakes that take a while to make but come out looking incredibly airy. While you wouldn't necessarily make a whole trip to the area to seek out Teamania, if you're already in the area it's well worth your time.
