The atmosphere inside is awesome, it's busy not too crowded. They have a great menu and I just got a Cardamom Chai Latte with Oatmeal milk. It is delicious but not as good as the one I got in New York a couple days ago. However, it hit the spot. I would love to return and sit down to try their breakfast sandwiches. Comfy Seating/Ok Chicken Salad. Friend/I visited first time @ Filicori Zecchini last Saturday. Must admit a mixed experience. Prompt courteous customer service, comfy seating in a warm chocolate brown decor. Spacious outdoor patio/seating. See Photos. Nice selection of pastries. My friend enjoyed her butter, croissant, and Americano latte. Unfortunately my mocha had weak chocolate flavor & chicken salad did not taste freshly made. Like the sandwich had been sitting around before being served. read more

Really great brunch and coffee shop if you're meeting a friend or need to work! There are tons of indoor and outdoor seating options. The outdoor seats are covered with umbrellas, so they are nice and shaded in the summertime! I stopped by and ordered an iced latte. I really appreciate it that they make it with a good espresso machine and it was really yummy. I could tell the quality of the coffee was really good compared to others. Service was quick and love how friendly the girls were! I'd come back in a heartbeat! read more

I've never been a regular at a café -- and I'd never found any café at which I'd want to be a regular -- until I found this one! I was always driving by it and thinking 'I really need to go there and check it out!' Finally, one day, I did. I discovered the treasure for which I am always searching -- Turkish coffee! I also found out that it's sometimes called 'Arabic' or 'Greek' coffee. It's so fun to learn new things! Another unexpected find here is the shakshouka (in the morning, during breakfast time until eleven a.m. -- so to get this along with the Turkish coffee is a perfect cultural connection for me, and that's what I love! There is also a really great selection of pistachio-flavoured things, such as the frappe, pistachio-cream-filled muffin, pistachio-cream-drizzled croissant, etc. De-li-cious! Oh, yeah, they have all kinds of other flavoured drinks and such, but I am highlighting and pointing out the pistachio because that is my favourite! Mmm! The little veggie quiche is very good, too! So filling, as well. Rich, creamy, dense, etc. I wasn't hungry for hours after eating it -- I would just say to be ready to hydrate with lots of liquid for a while upon completion of this delightful meal. The whole vibe of this place, by the way, is so much nicer than I had anticipated. It's roomy with comfortable, cool-looking seating coming in both chair and booth-like bench form with luscious cushions reminiscent of the Moon's or some other outer-spacey surface. The tables are sturdy -- no wobbling -- with plenty of space for all your goodies. It has nice lighting, large windows, and some coffee-themed wall decorations. The company is over a hundred years old! Not this location, of course, but the company. I think that's really cool! In addition to what's available to order at the counter, there is a nicely-sized cooled drink area with bottled apple and orange juices, fizzy flavoured and unflavoured waters, and shelves with coffee-scented candles. They smell so good! I don't know how long these will be here, but for now, they are pretty specialized little scent treats you can get for yourself or someone else. To be greeted with such welcoming smiles such as those I have received here by the people at the counter is a treat in itself, too! All in all, this place is a real find! Highly recommended! Yay! :-D read more

This coffee shop has lots of seats. It's got very nouveau seating with different combinations. I loved the regular drip coffee. Noticed the cups have a slight curve at the bottom that fits well with the saucer's center. That's excellent attention to detail. Very friendly employee at the counter. Noise level is low. Menu for coffee is extensive and food choice is light. I just had coffee and enjoyed it. read more

If you're in need of a little boost to get you through the rest of the week, consider heading to Filicori Zecchini at Park Potomac. Their iced mocha was smooth, not too sweet, and provided the afternoon pick-me-up I needed. I also enjoyed the pistachio croissant, which was flaky and filled with a good amount of pistachio cream. This one is definitely a must if you love croissants. Service was friendly and my mocha/croissant were ready in a decent amount of time. There's a good amount of seating indoors and some outdoors as well. Parking is available along the streets or in the lot/parking garage nearby. read more

Disappointing Experience - Great Coffee, Terrible Service I really wanted to love Filicori. The coffee is actually good, the location is perfect (I live in the building), and the atmosphere is nice. But the service is consistently terrible--and that makes it hard to support them, especially as a small business. Not only is the service cold and robotic--no smiles, no warmth, no basic courtesy--but it's also slow. Even when it's not busy, the staff seems uninterested and unmotivated. I once had to change my order, and the staff member literally slammed my food on the counter. I said thank you, and she just walked away without saying a word. That kind of energy makes it hard to keep trying. I took a break, hoping there might be a staff change. No luck. Still the same attitude, still the same lackluster experience. What's worse is that Starbucks--just a short walk away--manages to outdo them in every way. Faster service, a mobile app that lets me order ahead without extra charges, and most importantly, when I walk in, they know my name, say good morning, and wish me a good day. That human connection matters. It's disappointing when you want to support small businesses, but they make it so hard. Especially when their coffee and food are more expensive. I just can't anymore. read more

This coffee shop is stellar for both coffee and finding a place to bring your laptop. I was so impressed with how many outlets are all around the seating at Filicori. It was not a problem at all to find a spot where I can maintain my laptop charge and get work done. Additionally the wifi was free and worked extremely well for the 2 hours I was there. Filicori has a great selection of beverages and even some seasonal drink items. I enjoyed a soy decaf gingerbread latte. This latte was delicious with the perfect amount of ginger flavor and not too sweet. It was also extremely filling for a latte so I didn't feel a need to order food with my drink. I do wish that this business would get some vegan options. If I was hungry I would have only been able to order potato chips or a plain bagel with no spread. I hope next time this business can have some food available for me to try. Like I said I was really happy with this latte so even with no food I give this business 5 stars. I will definitely be back to support this coffee shop next time I am waiting for my dog's grooming appointment to be done. I got a lot of work done and really enjoyed the ambiance and coffee options. read more

I used to go there when it was the real (and good!) Filicori; never had a true Italian coffee served like they did! Then it turned into something else. Mediocre service, terrible espresso (looked and tasted like the water you get when you wash the coffee pot). Result: I do not need to spend my money there. People go and drink coffee, but to be honest people also go to much worse places convincing themselves they are drinking good coffee. Not me (and I am not even that picky). read more

If you are in the Park Potomac area off of 1-270 and you need coffee, breakfast or lunch, go to Filicori Zecchini. It's a delightful and spacious coffee shop in the apartments around Park Potomac. There is a full range of coffee options. The pastries are beautiful (and with a vegan and a gluten free option) and the lunch menu is long (including soup!). I am always amazed at how large the space is inside, and in the warm weather, there are numerous tables outside (some in the shade, some in the sun). The baristas and the kitchen staff are always friendly. read more

Arriving early to a client breakfast at nearby MoCo's Founding Farmers, I stopped into Filicori Zecchini, giving me an excuse to avoid ordering Founding Farmers crappy coffee. I'm so glad I did! Visited yesterday and absolutely loved it. The ambiance has a charming European vibe, though a bit of background music could really amp it up. The latte was phenomenal--smooth and rich--and the chocolate chip muffin was perfectly moist and delicious. The first time I went here, I just ordered a latte. I was super impressed with their drink presentation and throughout enjoyed sipping my chai latte. The cafe can be loud during prime breakfast times, but it's a great place to do work in the early afternoon. I liked the place so much, I went back the next day ti try their breakfast. Unfortunately, I found their hot food extremely disappointing! I had their egg pesto bagel sandwich, and had high hopes of it being a savory, garlic-y breakfast sandwich. Instead, it was extremely plain tasting, with too small amount of pesto and cheese. The egg was over cooked or looked like it came from a frozen package. For $10, I was expecting a fresh egg, made to order (and in the way you wanted). read more

Came here late afternoon of November 16, your average Wednesday, around 4:30. Didn't expect it to be packed! We got the last table available, there is another little alcove tucked off to the side but it seemed to be being used as storage? Too bad it isn't available for seating when the place is super busy? Without heaters outdoors, by that point in the month it was too chilly to sit outside. Just a thought for the future- as we were meeting someone here, we almost left before we found the last (not cleaned) table by the door. I ordered the vegetable quiche, which is served as a 'personal' sized round pie, not a slice of your traditional size quiche. For lunch, or a snack, this could have been shared by 2 people as it is also served with a side salad, more than I had intended to eat for a coffee date haha A little dry for my taste, but that may be in part due to the individual portion process or just the recipe- tasty none the less :) I ordered a hot tea to go with it. When ordered to dine-in they serve you a tea pot and cup. Hit the spot! read more

I frequent coffee shops and hotels around town for weekly business meetings. This place is conveniently located and has pretty good seating and plenty of outlets which is great for co-working. However, it's so overpriced that I find myself irritated every time I come here. The food is good but not worth what they charge. The coffee is ok but far more expensive than anyplace in the area, even upscale hotels and restaurants. They can get away with because it's in Potomac, but that doesn't mean they should... read more

We ordered an iced chai latte and an iced fredo cappuccino and they were great. The ice/drink proportion was perfect which it made the price worth it. Both drinks were $6 which I think it is average price for a coffee. The service was fast and very friendly. There is a kiosk were you can place your order or you can place it with any of the baristas. There is enough seating, enough parking in front of cafe. It is a great place to come with friends and hold comfortable conversations because the music is low enough to hold a conversation. read more

A clean spacious coffee shop. I ordered the pistachio latte. However, I asked for only 1 pump of pistachio syrup rather than the standard 2-3 pumps. I do not like drinks too sweet so it was perfect. Good atmosphere. Great coffee. Food is sometimes great, sometimes so-so. The staff is fantastic.

Excellent coffee. Cozy atmosphere. Lacks variety and quality in selection of pastries.

A nice corner café between mid rise residential neighborhood and mixed use retail buildings, Filicori Zecchini certainly has a long name to tell friends where to meet for coffee. Despite the unfamiliar title for one to remember, the various breakfast drinks and pastries/sandwiches are pretty decent. Although the interior décor reminds me of a small European canteen as opposed to a cozy living room, the outdoor patio seatings provide for good hangout for casual conversations on a sunny day. My chai latte in a beautiful glass cup along with avocado toast with eggs are nice healthy compliments to start my day. read more

I came to this cafe on a January Saturday morning at 8am to have coffee with a good friend. First impressions: the place is modern like a hotel cafe, the cashier was friendly and incredibly patient with all of my questions regarding my the food and drinks. At 8am, the place was quiet- the perfect place to have a catch up with a friend or read a book in peace. Though the place is cozy, it seems that there's ample space to still have somewhat of a private and meaningful conversation without it feeling like a "grab and rush out to go" kind of place. Only had a coffee and a croissant, which were both reasonably priced and good. Coffee was not burnt yet still flavorful and the croissant tasted just right. I would definitely come back here again! Highly recommend!! read more

Well decorated cafe with great coffee! The pastries can be a little hit or miss - Nutella croissant was great but the chocolate croissant was worse than a grocery store bought one (texture and taste didn't come off as being fresh). This place was really nice. I got a chocolate cigar with my brother and we both agreed that it was a dry and tasted like it's been sitting for 2 days. The chai tea and hot chocolate were good though but the chai was lacking some chai flavor. The staff there was also pretty nice. I was just very disappointed with the pastry! I also really wanted to try the nutella brioche but that wasn't there. Might come again if I know the brioche will be there. The place was also pretty pricey. I loved their layout of interior. Their bake goods look DELICIOUS that I had to get Fondant Chocolate Walnut. Of course, I had to try their coffees. Such a wonderful experience. Hello Moto Hello Lattè Who dis? New Lattè. Definitely amongst the top lattès I've had in my life. The coffee was super duper smooth. The flavors were well balanced. It was a whole lotte delicious. The inside of the place is real posh. Think... brand new Buzzuto property without all the weird quirky accents. They have a ton of seating, and a large communal table off near the bathrooms that has plugs in the middle for you to work. All the finishes are real nice in here. Nice looking cafe. Service is good. The only thing is the coffee is not great. For a coffee spot my expectations are high. From my observation it seemed like they were low on staff.
