    Golden Lotus non alcoholic cocktail

I thoroughly enjoyed both the service and the meal I had at Founding Farmers MoCo. There was some construction happening outside, which made conversation a bit difficult at times, but that's no fault of the restaurant. I ordered the fish of the day with a lemon butter preparation--and wow, it was delicious. The sauce paired perfectly with the vegetables, and everything came together really well. The portion size was also very satisfying and left me completely full. I also tried a non-alcoholic drink called the Golden Lotus, which was just as enjoyable and refreshing. I was too full to try dessert, but they had so many tempting options that I'll definitely be back to check them out next time

They are still holding strong. I love how fresh the food is. The service here is top notch. Next time I will try their benignts. Sp. I got the breakfast platter... i got French toast, grits (yummy) . Parking is a pain but worth the wait.. It can get noisy. I suggest getting here early!

I did not expect Founding Farmers to be one of my favorite meals during my visit, and it ended up being the most reasonably priced as well. They were packed during Saturday brunch, so a reservation is a must. Everyone was very kind, and our server Erika truly made the experience. She gave great recommendations, especially the brûléed grapefruit, and made sure those who ordered the steak and eggs were comfortable with medallions. She also encouraged us to try the beignets, which ended up being a hit at the table. The food came out quickly, though I did wish my coffee had arrived first. *Mocha: came in the cutest cupware. The whipped cream on top was thick and cold, cooling down each sip right away. The espresso was already sweetened, giving it a rich, chocolatey mouthfeel. This was definitely up my alley as I prefer a sweeter morning drink. *Crab Cake Benedict: came with a single side, which I chose as the brûléed grapefruit. The eggs were perfectly poached, and the crab cake was tender and moist. The English muffin was nicely toasted, and while the hollandaise was tasty, I wished there was a bit more of it. *Bruleed Grapefruit: so tasty and unique that it deserved its own highlight. The grapefruit had a natural balance of tartness and sweetness, enhanced by a thin layer of torched sugar on top. My whole party loved this, and it is a must order alongside something savory. *Beignets: a very shareable portion. They were rustic in shape with fluffy interiors. The dish came with raspberry, chocolate, and caramel sauces. The raspberry was my favorite because its sharpness balanced the powdered sugar well. Although recommended for two to three people, it could easily feed four or more since the pieces were quite large. *Steak and Eggs: a five dollar upcharge, but the quality justified it. The steak was the most tender and juicy I have had at a breakfast spot. They included two medallions, just as Erika mentioned, cooked perfectly rare and medium rare. The hash browns had a great crust without any mushiness inside. The entrée also came with bread, and the apple walnut raisin loaf had a nice earthiness. The in house butter was creamy and mild, adding a needed richness. *Classic Brioche French Toast: available as an add on for three dollars. The piece stayed crisp on the outside while remaining soft inside throughout the meal. It had good browning and sweetness on its own, so I did not need syrup. It was a bit heavy though, so I would not want a full portion. *Beef Pastrami: the chunks of pastrami were rich, fatty, and full of flavor. Similar to the benedict, I wished there was more of the creole mustard hollandaise, as the hash leaned dry and crispy. The bell peppers and onions added a nice sweetness. I also think this would have benefited from a proper side instead of bread, especially something lighter or more refreshing. My party left extremely satisfied and very full. Service was excellent throughout. The portions were generous, and I appreciated the in house sourcing. It is rare to see brunch prices under twenty dollars, and we were impressed by both the value and the execution.

Every time I'm in town, this is the first spot I hit up for breakfast. Never disappoints! This time my eyes were a little bigger than my stomach and I ended up taking my double order of a side of the brioche French toast to go lol. Affordable and great quality food!

Finally made it into a Founding Farmers restaurant. This location was fairly easy to get to in County. Good parking and shopping options available around the restaurant. Restaurant is very nice. Hostess greet you upon walking in. Very nice bar and dining area. There is also a dining area, enclosed, outside. It has heaters but the area I sat in leaked above my head while it was raining and there were flying wasp around the table. Servers were great. Food was slow coming out and dishes were routed to the wrong table a fee times. The food was pretty good. I had spinach dip and Farmers platter. The dip was fine, but needed some salt. The platter was very filling. Briskett, ribs, and fried chicken on the same plate with sides made a nice meal. I would definitely want to try different items next time. OVERALL..good experience with slow service. I would definitely visit again.

Brandon, thank you for the exceptional service you provided. Your kindness, attentiveness, and genuine smile made our dining experience truly special. You went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and it did not go unnoticed. Your professionalism attitude created a very welcoming atmosphere. We are truly grateful for the care you showed and the positive energy you brought to our table. Thank you again for making our Anniversary Dinner date a memorable time. Hats off to Brandon. .

OMG - YET AGAIN, something goes awry at this restaurant. This time it wasn't the meal or the service - both were good. But we bought some boxes of chocolate (not inexpensive; minimum is $12 a box) and what do you know? They're expired! FF makes their chocolate themselves and it should be really fresh. It's always delicious. But ours have been expired for almost a week and they're still selling it at full price. Based on my past experiences with my reviews of this restaurant, I do not expect anyone to reach out to me or do anything about this. Just unbelievable.

Had no idea there was a Founding Farmers in this area! Had a great experience at the location in King of Prussia PA, so I was happy to visit this location to reprise their Sunday Brunch. After setting up a reservation (1:30), we arrived to a packed restaurant & had about a 5 min wait until a table opened up. Once seated, we were greeted promptly with drinks put in. We started off with Beignets which were fan-freakin'tastic - light and fluffy with 3 dipping sauces to the side. For entrées we ordered the Southwest Scramble & Ham and Cheese Scramble (w/ mushrooms added). Food arrived in a reasonable amount to time - another home run as both entrées we great! Definitely a bustling vibe - a bit noisy but not overwhelming. Highly recommended!

Stopped in for a late brunch while in the area shopping - they were on a short wait but I found a seat at the bar. The service was excellent - there were several bartenders working so they were able to attend to guests at the bar and making drinks that came in from tickets. The food was pretty good - my waffle came out cold, but was easily remedied, and I ordered the beef pastrami hash but I think there was a misunderstanding and I received beet and goat cheese hash - which was still good - and in their defense, I did not speak up because I was starving (not their fault - the food came out quick!). It was a good meal and I would definitely return to try some more things on the menu!

Breakfast Chicken & Waffles, Uncle Buck's Beignets, crab cake Benedict

To start, I used to hate Founding Farmer's. It was a one-sided beef that stemmed from feeling gaslit by everyone raving about a restaurant that I found to be mid at best. I tried today after many years (if the Washington Post can change their mind, so can I!) Some dishes were excellent but most were just good. A friend and I shared the following: biscuits, beignets, crab Benedict, and chicken and waffles, with sides of bacon and hash browns. The biscuits and beignets were both delicious, but all of the entrees were merely fine. The fried chicken was especially disappointing (not very flavorful and barely fried) . The bacon was also not as crispy or tasty as I expected. I did love my decaf latte and the gorgeous ceramics. The service was excellent. Not the redemption arc I hoped for

GABI I. IS THE BEST! She was our server! My friend had a dozen questions and she answered all of them with grace and patience! We had chicken and waffles (remember the breakfast size is only one piece of chicken). No pictures (yeah yeah I know I am back at THAT again!). It was delicious and seasoned perfectly!! I had the spinach and egg scramble with brûléed grapefruit, brioche French toast with strawberries n cream. DELICIOUS!! Ask for GABI I. When you dine!! See my previous reviews for pictures.

Founding farmers is a nice place to take a friend or a colleague, but it has quite a few drawbacks. The price is quite high, perhaps those prices have gone up. It feels like, but they are really high in such that I don't want an appetizer, I don't wanna get a drink, and I don't wanna get dessert, because it's way too expensive. Especially on top of a $29 salad or something. The other thing that was weird, was that the salads are minimal, you have a Caesar salad, or the corn corn dinner salad, those are the only ones with lettuce, or some kind of leafy green. The rest of it, artichoke hearts, things you don't normally see in what you think of as a salad. They still bring the little terminal to your table, where it's awkward you have to push the tip button. I wish they would just leave it on the table and just let me do it. Tip Pressure is not fun. The only salad I could find that had actual lettuce, was the Caesar salad, which I got with chicken. It was a great salad. Quite good. But this is a very rare place that I would go to, for all the reasons mentioned.

The horseradish sauce also had almost no flavor whatsoever. I don't even know why they call it horseradish honestly. The au jus seemed weak and watered down too, or maybe just old. Either way, it wasn't good. Overall the meal just felt really off compared to what this restaurant used to be. I ordered the Maryland-Style Crisfield Stew. Let's start with what this is - Fish Stew - commonly known as Cioppino. We were in SF last Aug - in one week, I had Cioppino at 4 different restaurants. Yes, I have an obsession with the dish. What's important here is 'Maryland-Style' - having lived in MD for several decades, I had more than my fair share of Maryland Style Crab Soup. A tomato based soup, loaded with fresh crab, and an underlying mild spice, it's very good - not the depth of the broths in SF (ex. Scoma's), but tasty. This was Clyde's - it was very tasty, served hot, which is important for fish stew, and it wasn't too spicy. The star of the dish, of course, was the sizable portion of crab, shrimp, mussels, oysters, and cod. See the attached picture-it's a large bowl filled to the brim. I let the two pieces of grilled bread soak into the stew and devoured them with the fish! I want to be sure to point something out - I asked to have additional broth, if possible, added to the stew, and they were nice enough to oblige! While those stews in SF are in a class by themselves, Clyde's is as good as any I've had on the East Coast. My partner ordered the Fried Chicken Rice Bowl. We're both lovers of fried chicken. Clyde's cuts up chicken breasts into squares, tosses them in a honey-sriracha mix and deep fries them. The chicken was delicious, combined with the rice, apples, cucumbers and scallions - it was a good bowl. Last, was the dessert - Key Lime Pie. My standard for this 'pie is very high'. I had Key Lime Pie at Joe's Stone Crabs in FL several times - that's my gold standard. This pie fell quite short - not that richness I look for that's offset by the tartness of the lime. However, we both really needed to have dessert (for reasons unknown) and we're glad we got the pie!

So, this experience was even more disheartening. Today, I found out that we were overcharged for two of our meals. I called and asked to speak to the manager, but he wasn't in. This is our nightmare lunch. First, we waited about 15 minutes for our drinks. When, our waitress was about to disappear again, I asked her to take our order. My granddaughter has severe food allergies and is diabetic. So, we had to order special items. Normally, Clyde's is very good about honoring special needs with food preparation. We waited 30- 45 minutes for our meal and then, we were told that they were out of my granddaughter's birria tacos. If they didn't have her food, we should have been alerted 5 minutes after we ordered, not 35 minutes later. So, my granddaughter ordered wings. We had ordered French fries as an appetizer and they never made it to the table either. So,after asking for a 3rd time they finally put our order of French fries into the kitchen. That took additional time, but finally made it to the table. They were delicious! It took another half hour for our food to come out. At that point, we had been waiting for an hour and a half for lunch. The salads and my granddaughter's wings were mediocre at best. But, I was charged an additional $13 to add chicken to a Caesar salad. But, two hours for lunch, being overcharged and extremely bad service.... This is not the Clyde's I am used to and have written previous glowing reviews. I hope the management sees this review and takes steps to correct the problems. Especially, the server who was not trained and did not do her job properly. I am so disappointed!

I've tried the shrimp roll, the Caesar salad, and the turkey club. All of these can be made gluten free, although the menu doesn't denote it. Another in my party enjoyed the shrimp tacos and the burger. Being inside the Marriott, it is a little overpriced, but the food is good, just hit or miss with service. Great for a quick bite if you're staying in the Marriott.

That was me here…read more This Pike & Rose gem in North Bethesda is everything you hope for in a neighborhood spot -- fresh, imaginative Mediterranean-inspired food, a vibrant yet cozy atmosphere, and the kind of place you immediately start planning to revisit. Everything I tried was fantastic, from the perfectly prepared chicken kebabs to the cod with farro. The blackberry vodka cocktail was beautiful and delicious, and the saffron steamed milk with ginger for dessert was absolute perfection. The entire concept feels current, welcoming, and effortlessly cool without trying too hard. Can't wait to return the next time I'm back in town for meetings!

Although he will lead most times, I pick one place every weekend so we can check it off together. This Friday (5/16) I picked Julii! He's a regular so although super packed they made it work and sat us immediately without a reservation. This place is popular and a reservation is needed. While I thought the menu was limited, it does the job. I wanted Branzino and had that in my mind the whole day but was disappointed that it wasn't on the menu. Welp, y'all know I love a burger. Service was fantastic! Ambiance feels like stepping into a French‑Mediterranean boutique café that someone elevated into a luxury dining room. It's warm, intimate, and softly glamorous without trying too hard. Let's get into it! Chicken Kabob - Seasoned perfectly over rice! Really good! Burger - Added bacon and mushrooms- Absolutely delicious! Drinks were delicious! No apps because I wasn't that hungry! I will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Happy Hour runs from 3-6pm every day (3-5pm wknd), with $4-$8 shots, beers, wine & cocktail - $9 bites. We shared garlic habanero wings and steak & cheese eggrols, which were delish! Every weekday they have specialty and Wed is prime rib. For $26 I got a huge prime rib steak.. and cooked as I requested medium rare. A little bit on the salty side.. but still delicious! We sat by the bar and service was attentive. You can sit by the bar or patio right by it for HH. Heard good things about brunch so will need to check that out!

An hour later we regretted the decision. A breakfast burrito shouldn't take an hour to be made and the beauty of an open kitchen is that you can literally see the moment the chefs realize there's an empty spot on their griddle where a burrito should have been. I'm giving three stars because of the fact that the staff were probably exhausted from a brunch party that was ending; but what happened to the good ol days where bar staff were attentive and offered assurance rather than essentially ignoring our existence until we reminded them that we're not just keeping the seat warm while watching ice melt in our expensive drinks. The kicker... The burrito wasn't even hot when it arrived! The more I think about it, the more upsetting it is because I hate giving bad reviews. After second thought, I'm giving it two stars for the lack of accountability, service, and quality of food. We've gotten better service from plenty of places that were way more crowded and busy.

We stopped by for the happy hour and enjoyed the specials like the artichoke flatbread with a glass of wine. On a Monday night this location wasn't too crowded so we were seated right away. This was an important birthday dinner, my mother-in-law's 89th. We informed them when we made the reservation and again on site, yet the server and the manager did not show much interest. So demerits for that. My mother-in-law and I had the scallops. My wife had Alaskan butterfish. The scallops tasted great and I liked the broccolini that came with it. My mother-in-law found the broccolini to be too tough. The butterfish was very good, tender and light. We all shared a plate of the Brussel sprouts with bacon on top. It was decadent and tasty. They brought a cool dessert tower (see pic) that allowed us to have mini-desserts served in little parfait glasses, which I really appreciate. I am never in the mood for a large dessert, but will always enjoy something small. My mini-dessert was pecan pie and as a pecan pie aficionado I thought it was quite good! My wife had the chocolate cake, which she complained as being tasteless. My mother-in-law had the Key Lime pie and said it was great. All in all, it was an ok experience, but I would not head back.

Mother's Day brunch was unfortunately a disappointment. With late planning about a week beforehand,…read morewe were happy to even secure a reservation for 9 people at 10 a.m. One guest wasn't feeling well, so our final party was 8. We also had a super senior with us, so getting everyone seated took a little extra time, and we were finally settled by about 10:15. From there, things went downhill service-wise. We waited and waited for a server and had to ask multiple employees walking by if someone could help us. Finally, around 10:50, Giovanni came to take our order. While he was taking it, another customer interrupted him to complain that although she had received her food, her children still hadn't gotten their drinks. He attempted to assist her, and we expressed our frustration at being interrupted after already waiting so long. To his credit, he asked someone else to help her. The restaurant itself has a cozy layout with several different sections, and I really wanted to like the place since I pass it often but had never stopped in before. Because it was Mother's Day, we tried not to let the delays ruin our time together, but the service was honestly unacceptable for such a special occasion. As for the food: - Shrimp & grits (2 orders): 4/5 The flavor was very good, the grits were creamy, and the turkey sausage added a nice touch. My only complaint was that some ingredients were chopped so finely that there wasn't much texture or bite. The shrimp was good/whole though. - Catfish & grits (3 orders plus an extra side of grits): 3/5 You get two large pieces of fish, which was appreciated, especially for bigger appetites. However, one person felt the batter was overly seasoned and too salty. - Chicken & waffles (2 orders): 4/5 Generous portions with four pieces of boneless chicken and four waffle sections. Definitely satisfying. We also ordered a pizza, mini sliders, biscuits, four adult beverages, and a hot tea. The total bill came to around $350 with the automatic gratuity included for a large party, which was actually reasonable for everything ordered. Overall, the food had some bright spots, but the extremely poor service overshadowed the experience. Being busy on Mother's Day is understandable, especially for a restaurant that has been around for a long time, but special occasions are exactly when service should be at its best. Sadly, we left totally disappointed. Overall rating: 2.5/5. Decent food and atmosphere couldn't make up for the long waits and poor service experience on Mother's Day.
