Jazz for bunch
Helene H.

Well the space is pretty and the jazz is stellar. However, even through there were empty tables it took a few minutes to be seat me. I sat for 20 minutes enjoying the music, before any took my order. Then my food came when I finally got a second check in like 10 minutes later, but no coffee showed up. I ordered a vanilla latte, but was given a regular latte. They comped my latte. I got the farmers hash which was delicious and very filling. At the end I asked for my bill was given a bill just for the latte, but then my card was charged just for the hash. I paid and left. The staff seemed nice but definitely didn't have their act together it was definitely a bit chaotic.

Tea
Lori Z.

A friend and I have been to several teas in the area and we decided to give this one a try. It was.....very meh. The cost is listed as $65 but note that there is for some reasons a 4% charge on top of it. These restaurant charges became common during COVID and I guess restaurants decided to leave them there and think we won't notice. I did. They also automatically add 20% gratuity. I'd have paid that that anyway but honestly the server did very little so the presumption to include it was a little unexpected, and probably based on the fact that the server doesn't really much and they need to ensure people tip. The menu is pre-set and she just handed us a plate. In any case, the food tasted good enough but the service was slow, the tea was never refreshed as it typically is at tea houses, and the bread in literally every item was incredibly dry. It was weird it took so long for the food to arrive, considering it was likely made ahead and just placed on the tiered server. The best part was the cake on the top tier. The tea itself was very good. They refused to seat my friend until I came and kicked us out after 90 minutes. It's in Pike & Rose, inside the Canopy Hotel across from LL Bean, separate from the Hello Betty boat bar entrance in the Main Street of the shopping area. Parking is typical planned community lot parking. The atmosphere is nice, as the tea is in a separate area filled with fake flowers and cute tables in a bright space with a lot of natural light. Overall, I wasn't mad at it but I'd likely not return.

Sweet Potato Biscuits
Breanne R.

I went to Hello Betty for brunch on a Sunday. It wasn't too packed, but they definitely could have benefited from another waiter because service was a little slow and therefore the mimosas didn't seem truly bottomless. I ordered the sweet potato biscuits, which were delicious but definitely needed the apple butter. The crawfish mac and cheese was also pretty good, but I realized that I am simply not a crawfish person. However as for restaurant mac and cheese goes I won't complain. I wish they gave me a little more, but they didn't skimp on the crawfish. I also tasted my friend's praline pancakes, which were perfectly fluffy and melt in your mouth. However, the kitchen forgot her whipped butter and tried to tell her that it didn't come with any. However, we knew what we saw in the photo. Eventually they brought it out and apologized for the mistake.

Jazz duo for lunch

Saturday afternoon brunch, Jazz duo nice touch. Beef short rib omelet, strawberry beignet with puree and whipped cream. Lunch special gumbo is excellent and a little bit spicy. Casual atmosphere, rooftop views.

Went here for a quick lunch after a pedicure and was super impressed! The ambiance is very cool and u pique and the music sets a great vibe. At lunch it was pretty empty so I hope they get fuller. The waitress I had was so warm and kind and made everything feel personal. They had also just dropped a new menu and the items I had were sooo delicious! Shout out to the chef! I got the sweet potato biscuits and the crab cake sandwich. The biscuits were smaller than I anticipated but packed a lot of flavor! And we're filling. The crab cake was full of juicy lump crab and the fries were some of the best I w had in ages. The seasoning!!! Anyway, I wish I lived here because I'd definitely be back often though my wallet would suffer.

The wait staff was extremely attentive. Food was incredible. The kids menu was limited but my daughter enjoyed it!

The previous $19 bottomless brunch still on display as we left the restaurant.

Bait-and-Switch on Bottomless Mimosas Brunch - $19 to $35 Overnight!!! I was humiliated and embarrassed by the whole situation at Hello Betty. I was genuinely excited to bring a group of friends here for brunch based on their advertised $19 bottomless mimosas--perfect for a fun, affordable weekend vibe. I checked the online menu just the day before our reservation, and it still clearly listed bottomless mimosas at $19. I invited everyone, hyped it up, and we all showed up ready for a great time. But Hello Betty ruined it for me. We get seated, open the menus... and suddenly bottomless mimosas are $35. No warning, no note about a change, nothing. My entire group noticed it immediately and was confused. When our waiter returned I asked him what happened--politely explained that it was $19 online and on the menu yesterday. He said the manager had changed it overnight. The waiter didnt thought the move was crazy as well. The place is already 70% empty and they pull a stunt like this. It's almost like they saw a group of 8+ book and decided it would be great to scam us. I was floored. This feels like straight-up bait-and-switch. Advertising one price to lure people in (and get groups to commit), then jacking it up nearly double the day of without any heads-up is deceptive and unfair. We ended up staying because we'd already arrived and didn't want to bail on the plans entirely, but the whole mood shifted. What was supposed to be a relaxed, celebratory brunch turned into an awkward, expensive disappointment. The food and service were OK (nothing standout), but that's not the point. The point is trust. If prices change that dramatically and suddenly, at least communicate it--update the website, post a sign, train staff to explain proactively, or offer a one-time courtesy. Instead, it felt like we were tricked into showing up. Save your money and your group plans--double-check current pricing right before you go, because what they advertise today might not be what you pay tomorrow. Disappointing experience that left a bad taste. This is one of the most expensive prices for a "bottomless" too with a weird setup up. They give you a tiny amount of alcohol and you have to go to a juice station to mix the beverage yourself. Won't be returning, there are better options in dc proper like in downtown Bethesda or dc proper which is their competition, they are far from the center of the metro area so not sure what they're thinking is. Not sure why people think in such an unintelligent manner that hurts their business.

Very friendly service and a shout out to my server Miquel. Food was decent. I ordered the halibut. Entree seemed kind of high but the restaurant is located in a hotel.

I would like to start off saying I would NEVER recommend or book with Rendezvous by Maria (Mitzie)…read moreReich LLC (also known as Reich World Events Services) business' again. This business has demonstrated a consistent lack of professionalism, honesty, and communication. The issues began when Maria double booked the venue we contracted through her. Instead of contacting me to discuss the error, she sent an email on a Friday evening confirming a different venue she had already booked without my approval. We approved a decoration mockup created by her assistant; however, the day-of execution did not match what was agreed upon. The tablecloths provided were wrinkled and visibly damaged, including holes and mold. Although Maria stated replacements were on the way, the issue was not properly resolved. Additionally, the table runners were the wrong color and there was not enough inventory, resulting in mismatched runners, which was not part of the agreement. Maria was not present for setup, leaving the work to her assistant and others, which contributed to poor coordination. After the event, I communicated my dissatisfaction with both the planning and execution. Maria stated she would provide compensation in writing, which never occurred. Our contract also included a $200 refundable deposit, which she acknowledged would be returned. It has now been nearly three months, with repeated follow-ups and no resolution or refund issued. While personal circumstances were cited as the reason for delays, failure to return a contractual deposit and follow through on written commitments is unacceptable. This business did not meet contractual obligations, and I would strongly advise against booking with this business!

A Golden Celebration to Remember! If I could give Rendezvous…read moremore than five stars, I would do it in a heartbeat. We recently celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary at the Holiday Inn in Gaithersburg and I was naturally a bit anxious about making such a massive milestone feel special. From the moment we sat down with the Rendezvous team, specifically Mitzi and her daughter-in-law, Abby, all that stress just evaporated. They listened to every detail that I specified and gave me suggestions and other choices to choose from. Right from the start, Mitzi and Abby made me feel comfortable about my decision to hire them. The decorations were beautiful. They managed to strike that perfect balance between "Golden Anniversary" opulence and warm, inviting intimacy. The floral arrangements, all fresh flowers, were spectacularly elegant. The tables were set up as I specified, with gold table cloth, napkins and place settings. They transformed the Holiday Inn ballroom into something that felt both nostalgic and sophisticated. Our guests haven't stopped talking about how beautiful the room looked! Now, let's talk about the food. Prior to our event, Mitzi and Abby invited us to a food tasting event where there were about a dozen dishes that I could choose from. And they delivered! The appetizers were creative and flavorful, and the main courses and desserts were cooked to absolute perfection. As for the service, the Rendezvous servers were well trained, attentive and professional. In conclusion, Rendezvous treated our very special celebration with the respect and care it deserved. They didn't just "cater" a party; they hosted an experience. To the entire team: Thank you for making our golden year shine so brightly. If you are looking for a caterer who actually listens and delivers beyond your expectations, look no further than Rendezvous! ________________________________________

The facilities are quite nice and they looked like they had a climbing wall though no one was using it. If you also needed a break from pickleball, then they also have a section with foosball, ping pong, and picnic tables to just relax. It is a bit tucked away in an industrial looking area and the parking lot spots definitely had a couple of rivets. The inside is so nice, warm, and cozy. I was intrigued to see this giant facility dedicated to playing pickleball. There were several courts, and they even have foozball and ping ping. They have a store with all of the necessities, including paddles, balls, clothes, and more. And you can either rent a court or become a member and just drop in. I am a casual tennis player, and I have always heard pickleball is easier. I was intrigued to observe all the differences -- such as the ball, which is a slightly heavier wiffle ball. It was nice that each court there provided their own. Pickleball courts are noticeably smaller than tennis courts, and playing with paddles sure does feel different than racquets. The scoring system can be a little confusing, and the order to which the players serve is a bit of a learning curve, but I managed to pick it up. It's a lot to explain! I got a great workout in, and I thought the facility was maintained well. Just a few critiques -- it'd be nice for the numbers of the courts to be a bit more visible or have more signage, and higher fencing to reduce balls going over to other courts. But then again, we were mostly beginners, so maybe once we improve we won't make as many mistakes haha.
