I would give this place zero stars if I could. Garbage food that's overpriced. Service sucks. It's always chaos here.

It's Honestly So Hard To Find Something Quick & Actually Good For Breakfast These Days. I Happened To Be In The Area And Remembered This Spot Was On My "Saved Places" List, So I Decided To Finally Give It A Try Especially Since I Was On A Time Crunch This Morning (Shoutout To St. Patrick's Day ). My Day Definitely Felt Lucky & Even More Blessed! Parking Was Easy Since It Was Early Morning. It's Street Parking With A Meter App, & I Believe There's Also A Nearby Lot For Busier Times. Walking In, The Space Felt Simple Yet So Inviting. Super Clean, Calm, & Just A Pleasant Environment Overall. The Kind Of Place That Immediately Feels Peaceful. While Waiting In Line, I Couldn't Help But Notice The Display Of Pastries.... Absolutely Beautiful. From Thin Cookies To Buttery, Golden Croissants And Donuts... Everything Looked Fresh, Perfectly Made, & Honestly Hard To Choose From. Plus, Prices Were Very Reasonable For The Quality. AVOCADO EGG & CHEESE CROISSANT SANDWICH - $12 Fluffy Scrambled Eggs, Fresh Sliced Avocado, Swiss & American Cheese On A Buttery, Perfectly Toasted Croissant With A Slightly Sweet & Savory Aioli. Let Me Tell You This Was By Far The Best Croissant Breakfast Sandwich I've Ever Had!!!!!!!! No Exaggeration. My Jaw Literally Dropped. Every Bite Was Rich, Flavorful, And Perfectly Balanced. The Croissant Was Flaky Yet Soft, The Eggs Were Light & Fluffy, & That Aioli Brought Everything Together. Kisses To The Chef ‍ Because They Really Did Their Thing On This. WOW. CHOCOLATE DIPPED BISCOTTI - $3 House-Made, Buttery, Crunchy, & So Satisfying. The Chocolate Side Was Rich And Delicious, But Honestly? Even The Plain Side Was Incredible On Its Own. Perfect Pairing With A Hot Drink Or Just As A Snack. HOT COCOA (Oatmilk) - $5 They Didn't Have Whipped Cream, So I Wasn't Expecting Much... But Wow, I Was So Wrong. It Came In A Nice-Sized Mug With A Beautiful Heart Design On Top... That Alone Stole My Heart . But Then The First Sip? Smooth, Rich, & So Damn Good. It Completely Surprised Me In The Best Way. Definitely One Of Those "Don't Judge It Until You Try It" Moments. The Staff Were Nice And Helpful. You Can Tell They Take Their Time To Get Everything Right, From The Food To The Overall Experience & It's Absolutely Worth The Wait. I'm Honestly Still In Disbelief At How Good Everything Was. The Food, The Atmosphere, The Experience... All Top Tier. I'm Lowkey Mad I Didn't Come Here Sooner, But This Is Definitely One Of My New Favorite Spots. I'll Be Putting Everyone I Know Onto This Place. I'll Absolutely Be Back & I'm Already Hoping They Open A Location Closer To Me.

Cookies were tasty. We got the chocolate chunk cookie and the chocolate oatmeal cookie. Line wasn't long at 1PM on a Friday. I also felt like the cashier was just trying to get us in and out very quickly but I understand because the line does get long. Just used to a more chill, personable experience. There's a good selection of pastries and I ended up choosing a coconut cream cheese option that was pretty good and flaky. I wanted to try the pistachio croissant but to be honest it looks incredibly unappetizing. I wish the presentation was different. I did have their London fog and it comes with sweetened honey. You pick your pastries from the self-serve shelves. Some items looked like they had been sitting out for a while and were a little dry, while others had just been restocked and looked much fresher. Most of the selection leans toward buttery, laminated pastries, such as croissants, Danishes, and croffles rather than baguettes or rolls. They also have fresh cakes displayed near the counter. The two pastries we had were both good and satisfying. The pain aux raisins had a moist texture with a gentle sweetness. The croffle itself was nicely buttery and delicious, although the cream on top was a bit too heavy for my taste. Prices felt reasonable for the quality and location. Service was quick and friendly. Unfortunately, the coffee was only lukewarm, which was a letdown. Parking really depends on the time and day. We were lucky to find a spot right in front, but the plaza gets busy since there are several popular stores/restaurants, so it can be competitive if you're aiming to park close by. Overall, I'm happy to have another French-inspired Asian bakery option in Rockville.

Tatte has a lot of seating, however, they are so popular it often feels small when waiting in line to order. A few times I have visited I could not find a table and had to take my latte to go. If I visit outside their busier hours or I get lucky I have snagged a table and had the luxury of drinking my latte at a table inside. Despite how crowded it is inside I can always hear my friends and carry on conversation indoors easily. Occasionally it has been hard to hear when your order is ready so I definitely recommend checking in at the pickup area to make sure you get your latte while it is hot. So far my favorite latte is the Black Sesame Latte with nondairy milk. It is not too sweet, a little nutty, and so smooth. I especially love visiting Tatte in the fall for their version of a pumpkin spice latte. The syrup they use is dairy free which is challenging to find. I do wish Tatte had more vegan options, and more clearly labeled on the menu what can be modified to be vegan. Part of the reason I have not tried any of the food is because navigating the menu as a vegan is challenging. I hope they can make some changes so I can have breakfast or lunch with my latte in the future. For now I love visiting Tatte for a treat yo self moment. The lattes are my favorite in Rockville and a wonderful pick me up if I need to brighten my day.

I love the high ceilings, layout, seating; it's giving French café with a twist. The desserts look phenomenal and their coffee/tea selection covers all the basics with a few extras (like pistachio, black sesame, and halva syrup), MEM tea blends, matcha, as well as a selection of coolers that sound absolutely divine using white peach/mint, strawberry/cardamom, and mango/ginger syrups. Who doesn't love a housemade syrup? I ordered the honey halva latte, raspberry meringue, pistachio cherry tart, and a plain butter tube (comes with 17 butter cookies). The butter cookies were perfect dipped in coffee, but almost everything else fell short. Looked divine, tasted so-so. The raspberry meringue might be one of the prettiest desserts I've seen but the filling left something to be desired. It had an odd aftertaste, while the pistachio tart barely had any kind of flavor. The coffee was, in a word, disappointing. The crumb cheesecake cup was tasty, but it felt like it was missing something. The woman who rang me up also wasn't friendly, which seemed a little odd considering that I'm a paying customer. Like she had an attitude for no reason. A simple "pick your coffee up over there" would suffice, considering that it was my first time and the barista was located on the other side of the establishment. Would I come back? If a friend wanted to go. Would I make it a point to? Probably not. My visit had good points but overall it just felt like something was missing.

Pretty good balance of tea to milk ratio and reminds me of molly tea. 4/5 Jasmine Milk Tea - honestly pretty good too. feels like a molly tea knock off with the menu offerings, cup designs and even flavor profile. its slightly too sharp but still good. 3.75/5 Da Hong Pao Milk Tea - the tea flavor is there but it doesn't mix as well as the magnolia or jasmine. I think they are better at more floral teas but this wasnt bad. 2/5 Banana Pudding Matcha - Banana flavor was not strong, it was not sweet when it should have definitely been more sweet and the flavors just didnt mix very well 0.5/5 Portugese Tart - pretty good but nothing too memorable 2.75/5

When I first walked in, the aesthetic of the place was great. It was quite big with a nice corner to relax in and a display of snacks. The staff was also very friendly and respectful while I was looking at the menu. However, the food and drinks are where this becomes a 2 or 3-star experience. The Items I Ordered: * Brown Sugar Cookie Boba Tea: This was bland and had little to no flavor. The milk was overpowering, and it had almost no brown sugar or cookie taste. * Soufflé Pancakes: I was told these were "authentic Japanese Pancakes," but I am heavily disappointed. The presentation was poor: a paper plate with pancakes surrounded by fruits, a dab of ice cream, and a small plastic bowl of cream. The pancakes themselves were bland and very eggy. Unfortunately, they tasted more like an egg pancake than the traditional Japanese style. They were also very dry. If the cream wasn't included, I wouldn't have even eaten them. Having to rely on the cream just for the pancakes to have flavor or moisture is very disappointing. * Chocolate Lava Buns: I bought one of these, and it was just okay. They were fluffy, but the chocolate inside wasn't melted. It was also very bitter and very heavy on the dark chocolate side so it was not a "savory taste" for what I had thought originally. * Cherry Tart: This was the final item I bought, and again, it was only okay. The bun was a bit hard. While the flavor was better than I expected at first, it fell off quite quickly and became unappetizing. Final Verdict: Would I recommend this place? Not necessarily. Unless you are just looking for a corner to study in and bring your own food, I wouldn't suggest it.

I am from Florida, cafe con leche is a staple at most places down there, so I thought I knew what it should taste like. I was going to throw it away and order a new one but my husband took it to the front and asked them to remake it. The manager said it would taste the same and suggested that maybe i just didn't know what a cafe con leche was (a bit rudely) and suggested they make me a latte instead. My husband agreed, and before hanging him the latte, manager went up to him and told him he had to pay the 30 cent difference since a latte is more expensive. He of course obliged, but I just thought the whole situation was handled poorly. The new latte tasted great. I returned a third time after that and again ordered a latte and a blueberry muffin. The muffin was delicious. The latte again tasted off. I didn't ask for a new one because of how my husband was treated the last time. I don't think I will be returning.
