This was my first time trying Vegan Junk Food. When I arrived I was unsure of where it was located because there was no sign. After walking around the block I realized the location is like a food market and it's one of the many places inside. I ordered the tots and bang bang broccoli egg rolls. The tots were really good. A little on the sweet side but I enjoyed them. The Broccoli Egg Rolls I do not recommend because the broccoli was just steamed and placed in the egg roll and fried. There was no seasoning on the broccoli at all. The Bang Bang sauce was very good which helped it but I would not purchase that again. The only reason I am giving this place a four star is because the tots and Bang Bang sauce saved the meal. The pricing was kind of high to me. I can't say I would be back. read more

We've tried twice and while I appreciate what they're trying to do, we won't be back. We had steak n cheese egg rolls, junk in the trunk burger, inside out burger, fried mushroom strips, fried cauliflower. The steak 'n cheese egg rolls were mostly weird tasting. A cheezy flavor I didn't like dominated. The junk in the trunk burger was tiny, like a slider but not described as such. Did not taste. like an impossible burger. Inside out burger was fine but not great and small for the price. Crispy cauliflower- WAS NOT CRISPY, covered in a not very tasty sauce despite our request for sauce on the side. But now we get to the actually weird probably made improperly part- both the tots and the oyster mushrooms had cinnamon sugar on them which was really weird and completely off-putting to one of the diners. In general this place is REALLY expensive and the food is not good enough or sizable enough to warrant the price. read more

However, in our painting, the price is a little higher than expected for such a small size but the food quality and the taste was good other than the size being a little bit bigger. This was quite a different dining experience. This place is a ghost kitchen located inside of Le Fantome Foodhall in Riverdale, MD. We were in the area and had heard good things so decided to give it a try. I am pescatarian so I was excited that my meat-loving friends were willing. Each restaurant had a dedicated tablet for placing orders. Once we maneuvered our way through that process (hence the 4 stars) things went smoothly. If dining in, orders are brought directly to your table. Let me just say the food was outstanding!! We tried the Junk in the trunk burger, tater tots and broccoli egg roll....outstanding!! I've been waiting for someone in the dmv to offer a really good vegan banana pudding. This is the place. The bananas are nice and sweet, not brown. Instead of the white Oreos I'd prefer vanilla wafers. But it's not a deal killer. The pudding is Lucious.... But there's not enough of it for $11. I'd buy a separate cup of just pudding if they offered it. It's light, sweet and maybe made from coconut milk. I have a very sensitive stomach and I'm lactose intolerant. Vegan Junk Food is a must!! The atmosphere is exactly what a ghost kitchen should be. I went there for a lunch date and we were a bit confused when we first arrived, because it is not its own location. We walked in and were able to choose from a variety of places to dine while waiting for our order. It was seamless and easy. Our food came in about 20 minutes and the services were so sweet. The second time we ate there, we ordered take out and it was still amazing. The packaging is simple and it keeps your food warm. I would recommend ordering at least 20-25 minutes before you get there. Trust me, it is more than worth the wait! We have tried the Philly cheesesteak, the impossible burger (so filling and delicious - I inhaled the burger in seconds!), the tots, the junky tots, the apple cobbler and the banana pudding, and both of the lemonades. Everything was a 10/10, zero complaints. We will definitely be returning. Things to consider: - Price: If you're looking for a cheap and quick meal, this is not the place to go. All entrees are $15+ and $20+ for a meal. - Menu: The food is creatively made so the menu is quite limited. There aren't a ton of options, but the options that they have are filling, delicious and fun. - Location: The location can be confusing if you're going for the first time. It is located inside of a food hall with other food vendors. You must scan the QR code on the table to order your food. Went today with my good girlfriend! Very confusing place at first...so they're inside La Fantom food hall. You can sit at any table, scan the QR Code and choose from their menu. It will be brought out once it's ready. Drinks can be ordered from the bar. I was a little disappointed because they had a smaller menu than what I was expecting. Nonetheless, I ordered the cheesesteak and loaded tots. My friend got the A1 burger and that was theeeeee best along with totts. The cheesesteak was average and wasn't really worth it to me. Ok, so I've been vegan off and on for the past 10 years. And grew up in a vegan household so I'm quite familiar with vegan food, junk or otherwise. But when I tell you how disgustingly unappetizing this food was, it's no joke. I was really hoping from the instagram pics and videos that they were onto something. Just goes to show that looks can be deceiving. We tried the broccoli eggrolls, tater tots, philly cheesesteak, and mushroom burger, mostly all disappointing. The bang bang sauce had bang but not much else. The broccoli wasn't seasoned either. The tots were seasoned too much, salty asf! The cheesesteak was not appetizing at all. I love vegetables of all kinds but who puts kale in a cheesesteak. The flavors didn't go well together. It all just tasted like plastic wrap. Surprisingly my husband's mushroom burger was good, well the fried mushrooms were. Their juices are delicious. But sadly I've removed them from my IG and Yelp. I don't mind throwing money away when it comes to trying new food spots, especially vegan. Everyone has different palates but this food angered me and my pockets. I even took the eggrolls and cheesesteak as a baggy home to rework and it was still awful. It's called vegan junk food, I guess because it's not healthy vegan. recently ordered the Inside Out Burger with a side of beet juice, both of which were supposed to be vegan delights. However, my dining experience left much to be desired. Firstly, my friend and I placed our order for dine-in service. After patiently waiting for what felt like an eternity (approximately 25 minutes), we decided to inquire about our food's status. To our surprise, we discovered that our order had been prepared for takeout and had been sitting at the front counter as a carry-out order. This mix-up was certainly not a great start to our meal. When our food finally arrived, the presentation was far from appetizing. My Inside Out Burger, featuring an Impossible Burger patty, had turned cold due to its extended exposure as a to-go order. The lettuce was wilted. The tomato in the burger was falling apart and there was piece onion on the burger.It seemed as if the burger had been carelessly thrown together. To make matters worse, the beet juice I ordered was far from enjoyable; it had an unpleasant taste that left much to be desired. Tasted more like a light version of kool aide. Additionally, the meat on the burger was overly salty, making it difficult to savor the flavors. While the tater tots were relatively okay, it wasn't enough to salvage the overall experience. Although the staff kindly remade my burger, the outcome remained disappointing, and I ended up discarding half of it. All in all, this experience fell short of expectations, and I regret to say that I won't be returning. Unfortunately, in this case, the overall quality and presentation of the food left much to be desired. This is not a storefront restaurant. You order from a kiosk. It is cooked in a ghost kitchen. The actual food from Vegan Junk Food is tasty, but the "dining hall" concept experience that houses it is a little iffy. The concept of multiple ghost kitchens is an interesting idea, but the execution is very confusing and from a branding perspective it really misses the mark. The experience ends up being sort of a hodgepodge of branding and messaging, rather than something that has a more cohesive look and feel. We spoke to one of the employees of the management firm, and she said big changes were in the works. I think they are going to have to rethink how they brand the thing and throw quite a bit of money at it to pull it off. read more

i went to vegandale and had their food. first off, RUDE customer service. i waited for 30 minutes at the front of the line with everyone looking directly at me and no one bothering to even acknowledge me. by the time they got to me they let me know they only had one item left. by this point i'm so annoyed but i spent so long waiting for food and the girl before me (that got her food right away as well as her order taken right away) told me it was really good. now i order the only thing they have available and it was SO BAD. it was their burger. it had no sauce or if it did i couldn't taste it because of how little there was. and that wouldn't have been too bad if the burger patty wasn't also BURNT! then to top it off this small, bland, burnt burger was $16. i wanted to request a refund but i didn't because i knew by the time they would see me it would be another 30 minutes. not worth it, save your money, your energy, & your time! read more
