Naked lunch is in the MOM's Organic grocery store as soon as you walk in. I'm doing a vegan thing right now and I found this on Yelp while in the neighborhood. What a jewel of a find! I got the mushroom soup and the sweet potato dish. The sweet potato meal included quinoa, black beans, pineapple, jalapenos, avocado, and peppers. The flavors actually came together really well and it was enough to last me two meals. The mushroom soup had a little kick to it and the jalapenos from the sweet potato meal were spicy. Don't make the mistake I made of getting these two without a drink! It was by the grace of God that I had a water tucked away in my car. I would not have made it without it. Definitely check this spot out if you're in the neighborhood and looking for clean eating.

Back in the day when organic was avant garde and I had long hair, there was Berwyn Cafe, across from Beautiful Day Trading Company and a few doors from Smile Herb Shop , the last one of those still there. In the 21st century, Naked Lunch seeks to combine sustainable, healthful food with a sustainable business model. What better location to reach the ideal customers than inside the large new store of MOM's Organic Market? They offer a dozen organic bowls (or build your own) and sandwichs, as well as freshly squeezed juices. I had the Moler bowl: pilaf, black beans, sweet potato, kale, mushrooms, peppers, and feta topped with avocado, and a Pink Lady: apple, orange, beet, ginger, lemon, lime, and kombucha. So delicious. So satisfying. I perched at the counter along the front window, but most of the business seemed to be take out. All the packaging and utensils, including straws, is compostable. Service was friendly and informative. The only downside is price: my bowl and juice came to $17.23. Guess the good stuff is never cheap. When you want to give your carnivorous habit a break and your taste buds a treat, this is the place. Yummm mani padme yummm!

I love this place. I leave work everyday to go here for lunch (a 30 mins drive ) but it is definitely worth it. It's not just healthy but it tastes great. It's very filling and worth every penny. I buy for lunch and it serves me till dinner

Unlike the clandestine and sovereign island of Themyscira, home to the Amazons, treated as a utopia exclusively of women-warriors, philosophers, artists, and intellects but possessing the occasional intrusions of Steve Trevor and other men, Naked Lunch is and will remain exclusively an oasis for vegetarians, vegans, and others willing to try organic and vegetarian meals without any possibility of adding shrimp, chicken, or any form of meat. And why not? Although my wife is hard-pressed to choose a favorite among the Lin Bowl (Brown Rice, Miso-roasted Tofu, Carrots, Seaweed, Zucchini, and Mushrooms tossed with Toasted Sesame Oil, and topped with Kimchi, Pea Shoots, Sesame Seeds, and Lime Wedge); the Moler Bowl (Pilaf, Black Beans, Sweet Potatoes, Kale, Mushrooms, Mixed Peppers, and Feta, tossed with Vinaigrette and topped with Avocado); and the Crowder Bowl (Brown Rice, Spinach, Mixed Peppers, Caramelized Onions, Carrots, Tofu, Cashews, and Scallions, tossed with Coconut Curry Dressing and topped with Cilantro and Lime Juice), forced to make a Solomon-like choice (since every option so far has been delectable), she would probably choose the Crowder Bowl.

Or I would love it if they had the crabby patty that the Rockville location usually has as their special.

I tried the falafel Sandwich with Za'atar fries. For the falafel sandwich, I paired with invisible…read moresauce which made for a spicy taste to the sandwich. I loved how affordable it was. I was able to both items for ~$9. The sandwich was $4.50 and the fries $4. Za'atar fries weren't the freshest, but the seasoning blend (which consisted of dry herbs) on them made for an unique taste. Can substitute protein with a vegan shawarma that seems to made in-house. I ordered online and it was easy plus I was able to customized my order. This location is in the midst of the University of Maryland area and has parking in front of building to easily get in and out. It is located right over Baltimore Ave. The facility is clean and it is takeout only.

In the articulated thoughts of Loki, "to become a Goddess in fact as well as name?" Falafel Inc., launched in Georgetown in 2017 by a Palestinian-American, Ahmad Ashkar, began with a similar thought-provoking premise: What if he could honor his mother's falafel, his heritage, and make a difference on a worldwide scale in the refugee crisis, not just with donations to programs like World Food Programme but with employment and even franchisee-ownership opportunities for refugees? In the not-so-halcyon days of 2024, a franchise location opened up just off of Baltimore Avenue in College Park, Maryland; and the restaurant's trademarked, delicious and affordable schwarma, pita, and, verily (to invoke Thor-speak), falafel became a reality for our own Terrapin-populated community (at least during the fall and spring). With fast, kind, service and scrumptious and memorable food, infused with the knowledge that the founder's mission for social outreach will always remain a commitment, what are you waiting for? Only the baklava is bite-sized, three bites to be precise.

My wife and I had been here for lunch before and had a good experience, so this time we figured why not check it out for dinner? Turns out, it was a great idea. The wait for the food was a bit on the longer end, but to be perfectly fair, we ordered a LOT, so we certainly didn't mind. By the time the food hit the table, we forgot about it almost entirely because the smells of freshly made kitfo, lamb tibs, and this stewed chicken dish whose name I can't remember (but it came with a hardboiled egg!) hit our nose, nothing else mattered. The food was presented in a way that somehow matched the overall vibe of the restaurant, which at this time of night was set to be kinda toned down with dingy lighting and smooth music. Huge call out to my waiter that I curse myself for not getting his name, because he is, simply put, the best server I've ever had at a restaurant. Not only was he timely and discreet about topping off our waters, but also checked in about soft drinks as well, and when he heard my son saying the food was too spicy for him, he took it upon himself to get him something else to eat that wasn't spicy at all, and without myself or my wife asking. If you're looking for a great place to eat with a killer atmosphere and even better service, you've found it.
