    the Cheeseburger
    Scott E.

"You're not the first group that got sent to this world," Rick Flag explains to Amanda Waller's latest incarnation of Task Force X in the first season of Eri Osada, Tappei Nagatsuki, and Eiji Umehara's animated series, Suicide Squad Isekai. "What does that mean?" Harley Quinn, the chaotic-good paramour of the Joker, responds. Flag continues, "A few months ago, I led the squad that was tasked with making first contact. With this strange world that's connected to ours through the gate." "So we really are in an Isekai! I knew it!" the charismatic, Lupin-like Clayface shouts in anticipation. In the remainder of the series, the coterie, composed of the aforementioned Harley Quinn, Clayface, Deadshot, King Shark, and Peacemaker learn that, when one is transported to an Isekai or magical world, they must adapt by embracing all of the rules, affordances, and constraints of magic. What does this have to do with Legends Halal Grill, located at 3711 Campus Drive, feet from one of the outer perimeters of the University of Maryland in College Park? You can either order order Falafel, Kabobs, or a combination of their many Middle Eastern or Arabic delicacies, or you can choose to play it safe with a cheeseburger that never sets out to compete with the much more mouthwatering burgers you could order elsewhere. Follow the lead of Floyd Lawton, aka Deadshot," who, when offered the enchanted armor of Cecil, a skittish knight loyal to the Princess Fione, understands that the true sources of magic are best shared collaboratively if one wants to win or make an impression. My wife's spellbinding entree of choice: the Combo over Rice, with spicy white sauce, cilantro sauce, and hot sauce; chickpeas and hummus; and extra protein.

So yummy, i'm so glad that this place opened so close to South campus. I've been craving halal food for so long. Came with a large group at around 10-11 pm near closing time and the workers were more than willing to accommodate us. Such sweet service, def want to come again and support:) The combo over rice is so good, nice juicy meats over a hot large serving of rice. Even the rice is nicely seasoned with a delicate flavor of aromatic spices, yum :) The veggies are really yummy on top as well. You can get all three sauces for free: White, Hot, and Cilantro. They all taste good imo! Big serving sizes as well, none of my friends were able to fully finish their platters so we saved it for a snack later yay:)

a great addition to campus eatery choices! (wish they were around when we were there)- the service was fantastic; the owner was such a great guy- very clearly passionate about the dishes- training the new staff I overheard him discussing ensuring ample ingredients with quality plating. each dish looked absolutely delicious; big serving sizes-hearty portions- for only $11 it's a bang for your buck! I loved when he presented me dishes & asked, "how about that, are you hungry?!" He also insisted I take a coffee to-go (on the house) & when I attempted to politely decline he informed me this was the best coffee in all College Park-I took it to be nice, then one sip & I was so glad I did- he was right it was the most delectable creamy sweetened coffee though the dishes were hearty w. juicy meat & thick larger falafels, overall they could have used a bit more seasoning pop- I had to add some additional sauce/seasoning at home to get a flavor boost-for that I don't think they're the best halal out there, but for the price & the serving size I'd definitely go back, take to go, and just add seasoning at home because the portion were worth it.

My goodness ... the best lamb I've ever had ! Food was made to order. Took about 10 minutes. I will say though, they aren't giving anything extra for free ... not a cucumber, not a slither of lettuce lol but the food is amazing. Definitely recommend

Like what? We chose that and Carolina Gold...when I say the wings are juicy, they're juicy. Crisp on the outside, flavorful, and juicy on the inside. The lemon basil is my new favorite, even more so when dipped into their Yum Yum sauce. The Carolina Gold reminds me of honey mustard with a little extra pizzazz. The cauliflower bites (we got mild) still had a nice kick. Bring some to your veggie-head friend and relish the praise, along with the fried okra. I make it a point to try fried okra if it's on the menu, and yes. All the yes. It was cooked through with the perfect snap, so fresh. Add some mozzarella sticks if you're feeling generous. I brought those home and popped into the air fryer for 3 minutes. Perfection. Next up is the Cheesesteak egg roll. I could literally eat 4 in one sitting. They're so good that the next order placed will involve a cheesesteak. Survey says...10/10. Great service, delicious food, all in all a great establishment. Love the colors inside too.

I had wings (obviously) and selected 2 flavors - Honey Lemon Garlic and Thai Chili. They were fried hard and held their crisp under the sauce. WIN!! Both sauces hit but I think the lemon garlic was my top. Add to it, the customer service was great. Seemed family run. There was a young man and an older gentleman at the register. Both were helpful and welcoming and seemed to have a familial respect for each other which was also awesome to see. I'll definitely return.

You see, get there too late and your options will be less. This morning before they opened, they already down to a half pound of burnt ends left for the day. Only a certain number of folks can be let in at a time to control seating which is available in and out. I had the short back ribs (which were so delish they fell off the bone), mac and cheese (warm cheesy goodness) and tried some of the baked beans (with brisket, jalapeños and saucy goodness). We also brought home some turkey, and their two kinds of brisket. Sweet baby Jesus. The wagyu brisket is buttery, melt in your mouth delish and the prime brisket is more traditional. Moist is the only way to go. While they have sauce, all their meats are so well seasoned you'll never want any. Make the drive and enjoy every dollar spent for the meat sweats.

Prepare for the sticker shock. Its expensive. I got brisket for $18. You get like 3 pieces of meat. You can't request for particular cuts. You gotta pray you'll get good cuts. Nothing comes with it ... everything is a la carte. You don't even get a piece of cornbread. They got beans, Mac n cheese, beans and potato salad. I ordered potato salad... Let me tell you it was AWFUL!!! This is nothing like you would get at a southern BBQ or cookout... I never recall ever having dill in a potato salad. My mother in law would have a fit.. It lacked so much seasonings, no egg or ham... no celery. The type of mustard they used was overpowering... and the dill ruined it for me. They have key lime pie and banana pudding.. but after my experience with the potato salad I was like nah. After you pay, they have tip screen? Why? When you're not being waited on and food is overpriced. The brisket was decent but my cuts had too much fat trim.. Service. Employees are nice but Ill stick with Mackies or Mo's pit bbq truck.

We pulled up to the food truck parked in the gas station lot, with a seating area and a few parking spots next to the truck. It was a windy day so the windows were closed. We weren't sure if they were open when walking up but then a young lady opened the window to greet us. She asked if it was our first time. When we confirmed that it was she offered us a sample. She came back with a bowl of piping hot, dressed beef suya with a couple of picks for us to try. That was so smart because we were hooked! The meat was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The raw onions provided some crunch and a bit of a palette cleanse before the next bite. Originally we were thinking about getting the box. But the sample was so good, and we knew we wouldn't come back that way for a while, so we got a half tray of a mix of beef and wings along with a "small" tray of jollof. It took about 25-30 minutes for our big order to be ready. The young lady handed us this gorgeous insulated bag with Project Suya on it and it was hefty. She also slipped in a pineapple soda to our order for free. We had food for days! We got to enjoy the "Benito Bowl" while we ate West African grilled meats. Ah! The beauty of living in MOCO. Every time we ate the leftovers, we would talk about who we could share this delicious food with the next time we order it. The beef reheated very well, by the way. Also, a heads up, the pepper sauce that's served with the wings is not for the weak. It's delicious but start out with a little bit if you know what's good for you.

The Chicken tenders weren't tender and the coating was over-salted. The full rack of BBQ Pork ribs was a winner, tender and meaty with great flavor. The Slow-smoked Chicken is delicious and a nice, moist change from the usual chicken treatments. The Smoked Chicken Wings were great too. I wouldn't get the Texas Beef Brisket or the Carolina Pulled Pork again, but they weren't bad, just lots of other choices that were better! The sides here are stand-outs too. I almost didn't get the vegetarian Collard Greens since I love collards cooked with meat but these were delicious -- they never made it to the microwave, they were so vinegary-good when I sampled them cold lol! The Mac & Cheese was good and cheesy. The baked beans were good but again vegetarian where I'd prefer meat included and I didn't care for the sweet sauce. The Skillet Cornbread is the best I've had, slightly sweet with a good corn flavor that made me decide to buy a WHOLE skillet rather than just the generously portioned slice next time, especially since it's such a good value. I do regret not trying the coleslaw and potato salad so again, next time. The little rolls are tasty too, moist and slightly sweet but it's a pity they aren't burger-size so you can make a sandwich with all that delicious meat and sides.
