Santucci's is definitely a neighborhood staple. I grew up eating from Santucci's since my mom and dad always ordered from them. Their grilled chicken breast sub has remained one of my favorites, and the taste has consistently stayed great throughout the years. My most recent visits take me back to my childhood, and this might sound like an exaggeration, but every bite is nostalgic. Another one of my favs is their chicken Caesar salad. I generally love Caesar dressing, but theirs is top tier. I don't think I've ordered it in years, but hopefully the taste has also remained the same. 08/02/2026 around noon. Ordered a "meatball sub" and a chicken cheesesteak without lettuce and tomato on the website for pickup. Food wasn't ready at the time specified but that's okay. Get food and drive home and instead opened up large cheesesteak with everything on it and chicken cheesesteak on a Kaiser roll of some sort. Drove back to get what I ordered and then was handed a meatball sandwich on so white bread. Instead of remaking the sandwiches like we ordered them, they asked if I wanted the wrong order instead. It's too bad that this place has gone downhill so far since we live in the Woodmoor neighborhood. The spelling errors on the websites should have given it away. The new ownership is absolutely horrible. They expanded the menu so now everything is mediocre at best. They lose orders and then don't prioritize the orders they lost. They are easily flustered. You're better off at Filippo's in Wheaton. read more

Been a loyal customer for 10+ years, and it pains me to say it but this place is awful. Once they changed management, it was evident that all the food quality, the customer service, etc., all dropped precipitously. The "chicken parm" sub is...not chicken parm. I don't even know how to describe it (pictured below), but it is awful. I have placed my order online, waited a half hour, then showed up to get my food and...waited another half hour. The place could be empty and you're still waiting for an additional 30 mins for no reason. They often run out of mozzarella (an ostensibly Italian joint!), the pizza is undercooked and borderline raw, an Italian cold cut sub (a staple I have had for years) now has American cheese on it for some reason and is near inedible. I could go on forever, but I am done with this place. I can't imagine anyone who knows anything about Italian food thinking this place is even mediocre at this point. Never again. read more

I ordered a sausage egg and everything bagel with peppers and onions. I received a plain bagel with a sausage patty and scrambled eggs. When I asked the guy where the onions and peppers were and everything bagel, he said we have everything bagels but we don't do them on breakfast sandwiches. I asked him to at least do the onions and peppers. He proceeded to put raw onions and raw peppers on top of the sandwich. When I stopped him and said hey, normally this sandwich has grilled onions and peppers. He said oh we don't do that. I cannot in good conscience endorse this kind of business. If my order was extremely complicated, I would totally understand, but for a deli, this is a basic customer service request that was denied two or three different ways. No bueno. This surely isn't the store I used to go to back in the day. I hope they will adjust their model and respond to customer feedback. Two stars is being generous.... I was back in Wheaton for the 1st time in awhile so stopped in to one of my fav places. I had no idea it was sold, but new ownership doesn't have a clue. They clearly put some money into fixing the inside, but clearly didn't follow directions on how to make quality subs. Philly chicken cheese steak was my absolutely go to, however the one I got today had so little chicken, it was not seasoned at all, wrong type of lettuce, lettuce wasn't even shredded it was chopped, lettuce and tomatoes weren't fresh (had dark yellow sections), ketchup had a funky taste... I threw out 1/2 the sub. Hope new owners can turn it around. read more

It pains me to write this but my last two experiences at Santucci's are forcing me to consider not going there anymore. I've eaten there for about 15 years. I hope this review gets the restaurant's attention and it addresses the issue quickly. I'll give it one more shot but after that, if I have the same experience, I'll be done. The large pepperoni pizza I brought home last night was grossly undercooked. It was a pile of cheese and some pepperoni that basically slid right off the barely cooked crust. I ordered a large pizza, only to arrive and learn it didn't have a large crust -- which makes absolutely no sense at all. Do they not make their pizzas individually? I asked why the person on the phone didn't tell me. He said he didn't know when taking the order. I asked why they didn't call me when they realized they did know. He said they don't take customer phone numbers -- unlike every other restaurant in America. The last two times I've been there, the pizza has been undercooked. The buffalo wings were also undercooked and, unlike every other place I've ordered wings from, came with no additional container of sauce -- just the minimal amount placed on the wings. At least the cheese sticks were good. Santucci's has legions of fans and we're all pulling for the place to rebound -- but it's heading downhill -- fast. It's got two strikes against it with me. A big loss in Four Corners. I tried to give the new owners chance. For years Santucci's had the best Italian Cold Cut and Cheesesteaks. The quality and portions are gone...big time! The new owner's have added a tremendous amout of new menu options; so nothing is exceptional anymore. I never really liked the pizza...but now its horrible. Have been coming to Santuccis for years. Always spot-on good but there are a few things that need improvement. Since it changed hands my favorite eggplant parm has gone downhill considerably. Please consider improving or take it off the menu completely. Very disappointed. The eggplant was cut too thick, hardly any cheese and the sauce was not good. The Cesar salad is great, but the chicken used to be shaved better. The turkey sub was fine. Service was great and the help was very courteous. I'm done with the eggplant though! read more

Tucked away inside a strip mall that's been around for decades is a 32-year-old family-owned Italian deli that is everything you'd expect a worthy deli to be- a ceiling fan spinning, chips on shelves, boxes in the corner and letters falling off menu boards. After picking up Friday night takeout for friends at Santucci's Deli, here's my experience: 1) Food: Open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., they sell a variety of sandwiches that come in 10 inch or foot-long subs. 21 different subs are on the menu and they come on soft rolls, but you can request a hard roll or wheat for an upcharge. The Italian cold cut was excellent and the creamy Italian herb dressing made it stick out from other cold cuts. They also sell sandwiches, pizzas, and prepared dinners and other Italian products. 2) Drinks: They have a wall of cold drinks from water to tons of sodas. 3) Service: It's friendly and quick. I called a few hours ahead of my pick up time to place an order. Paying when I arrived, my sandwiches were ready! 4) Space: It's small, but they make good use of space. It's no-frills, but is it a classic deli if it wasn't? 5) Neighborhood: It's in a strip mall that's been around for awhile with other shops, including Woodmore Pastry Shop with popular doughnuts. The quality has declined a lot in recent years, but the price hasn't decreased. I bought the marguerita pizza on 12.30.25. The crust was okay, but the sauce had way too much sugar in it and the cheese tasted like it was from the oldest package of block mozzarella in the grocery store. I had to do another review because, well, Santuccis deserves it. This is a family joint that feels like it when you walk in. It's no frills, but consistently delicious. I still get the veggie sandwich every single visit because I think it's too good not to get. The check out is swift and the sandwich is made to order. Santucci's was sold to another owner who made some upgrades to the interior of the space. It's a long time neighborhood joint that serves deli style foods, snacks, refrigerated meals, gelato and some Italian grocery items. Most of the same employees which is great. John is great! Knows most people. Picked up an eggplant park from the fridge to have over the next two days w a salad. It was HORRIBLE!!!! No flavor. Not much cheese, no seasoning, had an odd taste like the sauce was almost bad. $13.50 w/ a hunk of bread. What in the world! Please don't change anymore recipes! I'm giving this place a 2/5 because of customer service. The place looks very outdated inside and I was not happy with my food at all. I ordered a roast beef sandwich. The meat was very cold, and the bread did not taste like it was toasted nor was I asked for the option. This ended up making the sandwich taste cold and soggy. I also specifically wanted hot peppers and it was not added to the order. Their old bay chicken wings, were meaty. However, there was no flavor on them. You could not taste a drop of old bay. & they could've have been more crispy. Even their Caesar salad looked thrown together. & they did not use romaine lettuce like it says on the menu. My partner was happy about his Italian cold cut and my son didn't care for his sandwich either but let's just say, I think their food sent them to the bathroom later on. I've been going to Santucci's for 20+ years, their subs were really good, especially their traditional Italian cold cut. I didn't know it had been sold but when I walked in at noon and there's no line, I figured it out pretty quickly. The new owners seem friendly but disorganized, the customer ahead of me was having a dispute about her order being wrong. I ordered 2 Italian and 1 steak & cheese, I got my order in about 15 mins and the s&c was wrong and had to be remade. The subs were bland and not of quality as was the bread. It's sad to see a landmark of family tradition and namesake lost when sold to new owners. read more

Oh my, what has happened since Carlos Santucci sold the place. If I were him, I'd take my name off the marquis. Twice when my brother was in town, he really wanted his usual Mozzarella and Tomato sub from Santucci's. I had to repeat it several times. What we got when we unwrapped it was only mozzarella on a kaiser roll with very little dressing, and the tomato was nowhere to be found. It was another disappointment. Don't bother to pre-order and pre-pay. They had 40 minutes to make 3 sandwhiches. Not only were they not ready when I came to pick them up, they contined to take new orders of people just walking in. Before even starting our order. Instead of a perfunctory apology, I was told, "I don'tmake the rules" (RULES???) I was reminded of a Seinfeld Segment, "You know how to make a reservation, you don't know how to keep a reservation" Adding injury to insult, we requested 1 without lettuce. I had to do my best to scrape off the green slimy mess. Since the Subway closed down, they probably have more business than they can properly handle. I stopped by to pick up an easy breezy bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. Overall, I had no major issues with my experience at Santucci's Deli. My breakfast sandwich was pretty tasty, and the prices were fine for the area. I will admit that that service was a bit slow because it took about 18 minutes to make the sandwich. Although I was the only one in the deli, perhaps, they had a lot of online orders that slowed down service. It's a solid Italian deli and a classic staple of the Four Corners area. Their food isn't transformative, but everthing I've tried - mostly subs - has been good. The staff is also very friendly. I will agree with another reviewer that sometimes the front of house staff can play a little loose with the face masks, which is a big no no in MoCo (and should be everywhere). It's a four-star, very good deli, but the sometimes inconsistent mask use gave me pause, though I will say, last couple of times I've been there it's been in order. read more
