Marathon gyros are so good! They have a special sauce that taste great on their fries. Probably used for other menu items but I stick to the gyro. They also have $5 jumbo pizza slices all day. I would recommend

This was always my favorite spot on campus and still is. We came back to visit and just had to grab this. I have always most loved the fries and their sauce. I could eat an entire box by myself and it pairs sooo well with any spicy drinks. I actually also love the gyro meals as well. It's super filling and kinda heavy, but the salad, fries, and sauces balance it all out. The restaurant has gotten bigger over the years and feels a lot like an old diner. Will forever be thinking of this place and hope to come back again.

Came to Marathon Deli for a chicken gyro last night, and as usual, the food tasted really good. The food arrived in about 10 minutes, and it was as delicious as ever. The fries they serve are great - nice and crunchy. However, there were a couple of things that bothered me. The special sauce they used to have on their fries tastes different now, more like mayo. Also, I noticed that they didn't display their prices on the menu, which was a bit strange.

Where do I even begin?!?! Quite simply this was one of THE GREATEST restaurants our team has ever visited on a Model United Nations weekend -- and we have been competing up and down the mid Atlantic and East coast for 20 years.... Des was the MOST AMAZING manager/host you could ask for....she worked within our budget and took exceptional pride in the food that was served -- from appetizers to main courses....and in the Greek tradition, even spoiled our kids with homemade desserts that were to die for!!!! George the chef/owner and Leilani, their assistant, were incredibly hospitable and made sure every dietary special request was attended to. We will be starting our University of Maryland weekends off here in the years to come -- Marathon Deli is a must!!!!

When I picked up my food my meatball sub was EXTREMELY soggy. I couldn't even eat it...

Fries are dry, hard, and have freezer burn. Definitely not "the best fries in college park" as advertised.

I ordered the pastichio and spanakopita and omgggg it's so good. The pastichio came with pita and side salad. I am obsessed; it hits every single time. I love the crisp edges on the top of the pastichio and the way the pasta and bechamel melt into the meat - it's very satisfying. I ordered my food directly on their site for pickup. It was ready when it said it would be and everyone was kind in handing it off and letting me know where the utensil and napkins are if needed. The restaurant is cute. My friend and I have sat outside to eat once to enjoy our food and it was relatively calm and quiet. I love this place so much and maybe someday I'll stray from my usual but ehhh it's ok.

The nice crust on the pork, fries, and fresh chopped veggies separate this gyro for me. Definitely worth a stop next time you're not sure what to eat. The menu is very complete, something for everyone. The service is always prompt and friendly. The gyros, calamari, and other items are cooked to order, so you can call ahead if you don't want to wait. The sitting area is not very big, but I believe they have arranged the space to make it comfortable without being too crowded. Very cute Greek decorated with a beautiful picture of Greece for a complete Greek experience. 100/10 recommend

I was finally in the area and got a chance to go in person and wow, the experience of eating the food fresh there was even better - although I must say this food does travel very well. I wish I caught the young man's name, who was the cashier, but he was great! He was very friendly, just seemed like a good, hardworking kid. I wanted a classic so I just got the gyro platter, the Greek fries and the soup. The soup is so good and reminds me of my favorite Greek place back home in chicago, I used to eat this type of soup every weekend with my family. Ingredients are fresh here and quality is always A1. The Greek fries are my favorite and a guilty pleasure. They are so flavorful and have the best texture. The gyro was also very filling and they really don't skimp out here with their toppings. I'm an extra sauce kinda gal and here, they really just go above and beyond without you ever needing to ask them. I wish I had a closer location in DC! It's what my little sister used to call a "cloth napkin place". The menu includes all the classics, with most entrées priced around $20, with a few specials higher. Bread and a simple salad, with olive oil and vinegar dressing are included. I tried the moussaka, which came with orzo (rice shaped) pasta. The flavors weren't as assertive as some, but all there and perfectly balanced. And while the portion didn't look that big, it was quite filling. To me, that indicates fresh, high quality ingredients. Cordial service, excellent value. A perfect spot if you want to go a bit upscale without blowing the budget. Very solid 4 stars. I'll be back to splurge on the lamb shank.

However, two of us ordered a daily special - and the stew was exactly two ingredients - the stew gravy ... and the meat. Plus, it was very mediocre. Additionally, the salad was hands down the saddest salad I've ever had in an establishment. The dressing was just olive oil and tasted exactly that. The bread was also some of the dullest I've ever been served. On the plus side, the dining area was spacious with peaceful decor. Alas, as someone who isn't especially into Greek cuisine, I def wouldn't give this another try.

Last night, I ordered from M&O's cheese breadsticks & a slice of chocolate cake. Box of breadsticks had sealing tape on it, but the plastic grocery store type bag with the cake container inside was unsealed with the bag's handles tied. I like the pizza from here & M&O's cheese breadsticks were good too. But imagine my surprise to open the cake container & find a fork inside that had been used to eat half the cake!?! Never before. I called M&O's right away & lady picked up & shouted "CLOSED" & hung up the phone. I called today & informed them & the lady said I could get a refund through DoorDash, which I did. I thought they'd like to know about it, however, just in case an employee is messing with customer's food. But maybe the Dasher did it. First thing my friends asked was did you tip? DoorDash tip was $5.00 but had a double dash nearby with additional $2.50 tip. Dasher delivered M&O's order then went to get 2nd order & delivered it. Then I added $5.00 tip after delivery. So, $12.50 tip for $30 food total. Anyway, I suspect it was the dasher but really, sabotage people's food even when tipped? Weird experience.
