Quick, nice service and yummy dumplings!! I got the combo platter which is a nice way to try different dumplings

    EVERYTHING!

It was really delicious! We got the family combo for two of us and it was a lot of food! They wrap all the dumplings in store. Don't expect any service as it's a takeout joint (weird people would comment about service for a take out, have you been to a McDonald?). The food hall is very nice and clean with good music. Highly recommended!

I've eaten many beef noodle soups in my life, and this place, by far, had unfortunately the worst one I have ever received, along with being one of the more expensive ones. The beef noodle soup was very bland. I'm not just talking about being light on the salt but that the broth and noodles just had little flavor. The pieces of beef (I think scraps is a better term) were the most shocking. Never have I seen a beef noodle soup from a kitchen give such tiny bits instead of large chunks or bigger slices. It reminded of the ones in $1 beef instant noodles, except the instant ones I have tried even tasted better. Here they were chewy and tough. For $14, I definitely expected more.

    Beef Bao

Beef bao is delicious. Super fresh and they made it to order. I'll be back to try the dumplings.

I come here any chance I get since it's right next to the Alamo drafthouse. Food is always fresh and service is always great. Recommend the combination dumplings if you're looking to try something outside of traditional soup dumplings!

Very good food, specially dumplings- filing was too good, egg rolls pretty average. Overall decent food.

Mecha is by far my new favorite ramen spot! I can't believe I haven't done a review already…read more First things first, you have to get the edamame. This is the most uniquely prepared edamame I've ever had. It's packed with herbs and spices and so flavorful that you won't go back to regular edamame after trying it here. I've ordered quite a few items off the menu, and I've been equally satisfied every time. I've had the Pho Ga and the Shoyu Paitan...both were so delicious. They come with extras so you can customize your bowl with hoisin, chili flakes, and more, which I love. One time I went with a friend who's pescatarian, and we ordered the Cha Ca La Bong (catfish). It was incredibly flavorful and filling. It's served cold, a delicious sauce. But don't let this cold dish fool you ...it does not disappoint. We also ordered the General Tso shrimp, and I got the sweet-and-sour spareribs. Everything was delicious. As for drinks, I don't quite remember which frozen one I ordered, but it didn't give much of a buzz. The regular alcoholic drinks, though? They definitely got the job done. Every time I've gone, the service has been excellent. Everyone is welcoming, smiling, and genuinely seems proud to serve you. I also appreciate that if you don't finish your ramen, they box it up thoughtfully, packing the broth and noodles separately so it stays fresh. Highly recommend!

Mecha Noodle Bar was pretty good. I visited on a Thursday at 6 PM and it was about 1/3 full…read more The place is very casual. Many of the tables have benches on one side and small stool on the other; it's fine, but not the most comfy. Tables are also loaded with the basic chopsticks, napkins, menus, and condiments you need. We tried the Kale Salad, Red Oil Dumplings, Firecracker Wings, Spicy Miso 2.0 ramen, and Tonkotsu 3.0 ramen. The kale salad was fine but a little lame. The wings weren't "firecracker" -- not spicy at all -- but had a very nice dry rub and smoky flavor (very similar to the wings at Succotash). The dumplings were enormous and pretty good, but I wish the sauce stuck to the dumplings better. Ramen was also good; I preferred the Spicy Miso over the Tonkotsu. Service was a little too basic. We had to flag down a waiter to get water, water wasn't refilled, the check and pay pad weren't picked up quickly, and I got the wrong ramen order.

Let's start with the DD, I usually get the soup dumplings I love the Chicken Soup ones especially but the Pork and Spicy Pork rule too. It's a shame that those are the only soup dumpling flavors though. I also tried the sliced marinated steak yesterday and was disappointed. It was way too thin and way too chewy. Felt annoyed as I spent $12 on it. My friend ordered the veggie dumplings and she said they're ok but lacked seasoning and after I gave them a try, I was inclined to agree. Now let's discuss brunch. The menu is pictured below and $1 mimosas or add $5 onto your AYCE brunch for unlimited non-alcoholic drinks. Not a bad deal. The AYCE menu was five I was a bit underwhelmed especially since most of what I ordered with the exception of the Bao and the braised pork over rice were great. Everything else lacked seasoning. Also a major downside that the soup dumplings aren't an option. The interior is lovelely. If you have a big party with you they'll sit you in this nice and spacious booth in the back its intimate and private and allows your group to really engage in conversation. Service was good though we ran into an issue at least 3 times to my count where they kept bringing stuff we never ordered.

I ended up parking at the 7-Eleven and walked over since the parking situation at this takeout joint is insane. You will certainly take your life in your own hands just walking through the lot. I'd recommend ordering ahead. I ended up just ordering from the touch screen inside and it said my meal would be ready in 4-10 minutes maximum. It ended up being closer to 30 minutes. But it was at least entertaining watching the crazy and the kitchen workers yell at the delivery drivers. There is certainly a reality show potential here. I ended up getting the pulled noodles with lamb and the lamb dumplings. You can customize the order to do "less spicy" which is noticeably different from the regular spice option. Of the dishes, the pulled noodles were fantastic! The dumplings were not really at all to my taste. Finally, the establishment doesn't provide utensils. I found that a little wild as I was hungry and ready to eat right then.
