They have a postal service, that you can pay $1 and they drop off (or have your items picked up) for USPS. Well I dropped off my bag, with a label, paid my fee and off I went. When I track my package, it still states that the label was created, no movement. I call them, they said they don't have anything left to drop off, it's now past 30 days since I dropped it off and the tracking remains the same. I called USPS and asked what I could do, they said Postal Annex can "receive" it and then usps can take accountability. My first time at this location, I was dropping off a UPS package and decided to go here as it is closer to my home than the local UPS Store. I asked for a receipt and was told it would cost me .50 cents. I left without a receipt, but after thinking about it went back and told them I thought that charging for a receipt seemed kinda "shady" ( and it's illegal in the state of California), to which I was told if I thought they were shady, I should take my business elsewhere. I eventually got my receipt and did NOT pay the .50 cents, but what a way to treat (the son was especially disrespectful) potential new customers. I went to the store yesterday to do an Amazon return. The rude man behind the counter tried to charge me one dollar for a strip of tape to attach the label to the Amazon package . Then he tried to charge me for a bag to put the Amazon package into.I told him that it was an Amazon return and there's no charge. He stated Amazon does not own his shop. I never really had an issue with this location until recently. I read through some of the comments and my experiences are validated through other post. They wanted to charge me $1 to drop off USPS prelabeled package. Its the Postal Annex. USPS goes there daily to bring their mail, why are you charging a fee for this. So I walked into this Postal Annex for the first time today. I needed 6 pages of an email printed. I asked the Middle Eastern owner/customer service how much it was, and he said $3.99. I responded OK, so he printed, and when I inquired how much for extra copies he said .25 cents per page. At that price, I concluded I didn't need any further copies. He became enraged and snatched the copies out of my hand I was holding, which were $3.99. I asked why would you snatch the copies out of my hand? He stated that I do not tell him what I intend to pay for. So he was upset because I didn't order more copies that weren't even printed. I had just asked him how much it would cost for more copies in case I needed them. I had to beg and ask why I couldn't buy what I came to get. He told me to go back to my country Mexico. Now I am born and raised in the US. He started arguing with me in front of other customers. So he irritated me and I told him to go back to his country as well. He was so disrespectful now I see why his YELP rating is so bad. I'e mailed out a few pa slaves from this store before. So on 10/28/2020 I went to ship a statue of St. Anthony that stands approx. 3 feet tall. I informed the older male clerk that it was a religious statue. I had wrapped the statue with foam padding of my own. The older clerk advised for me to let him wrap it with more bubble wrap on top of what I had and to add peanuts to the packaging to give it more cushion. Shipping and packaging was $120. He assured me he would take extra to package the item since it was a religious statue. I felt confident leaving that he would take care of the package. This morning, the recipient informed me that the statue arrived broken. The head of the statue literally broke off!! am utterly upset because the store did not do what it promised. Literally rudest experience I have ever had with a postal worker. I never write negative reviews but the sheer rudeness I both witnessed and experience was SHOCKING. Walked in, saw two workers, one friendly employee and rude employee, Mehul or whatever. Waited in line quietly and witnessed Mehul yelling at a customer and PRAYED that I would get helped by the friendlier employee. Unfortunately, I got helped by the rude employee and even after trying to be polite and compliant. I got snapped at several times for not understanding what he was telling me and for asking for clarification on what the instructions on what to do for my live scan. And don't get me wrong, there are bad days but good people won't take it out on customers and people asking for services? Secondly, instead of asking me to politely take out forms or step behind the counter for my live scan, he would berate me for not automatically knowing what to do AND he kept being rude to the Certifix live scan operator over the phone. Like make it make sense. To make matters worse, he kept putting my information down wrong and needed to be corrected several times(IN WHICH HE GOT ANGRY AT ME FOR CORRECTING HIM ON MY BIRTHDATE, HUH?) I usually use the post office for mailing but decided to use this place to mail a package. I went in and there were about 4 people when I got in the door. I waiting my turn and the older gentleman behind the counter was zipping back and forth down the counter. He took my package information and stated the cost to mail the package. It was a lot higher than the post office but it was convenient. I paid and received the tracking slip then asked for my receipt. My receipt listed 2 line item charges and I politely asked what the second charge was for and he took the receipt and said it was a mistake. He then produced a receipt that said Misc Mail and the same price I had paid. I asked why the totals on both reciepts, was the same. He became angry and took my package out of the mail and removed the packing label. Tossed it on the counter in front of me and gave me my money back. I asked what he was doing and he said to go mail my package somewhere else cause I was yelling at him and he didnt have to take it. I stated no, I was asking whey the receipt was same price but different line items and no taxes on generic receipt. he told me to leave and I left and went to the local Post Office. Package was half the cost and got a real receipt. I am disappointed in the service and it is looking like some cash reporting issues if they are giving out generic receipts and punching in the total without any taxes if you pay with cash. Dont use this place. It is terrible. If it has new management then they need to talk to this person and get also review their cash ledgers cause either the business is up to no good or this employee is committing possible fraud/theft. read more

Very poor customer service. They try to sell you the most expensive shipping methods first and do not share your options with you as far as price points unless you ask them. I have used them for both shipping as well as faxing they always seem to behave as though they're being interrupted from a break. I've gone in when there's other customers and I've gone in when there's no one there and regardless of the situation it's just a total lack of customer service. From now on I will drive a little further how to use a company I feel more confident with and gives better customer service. read more

The guy was pretty quick with the notarizing, knowledgeable with what had to be filled out. They are sometimes busy with customers, so a little patience comes in handy. Other reviewers have given poor reviews to this business....but I thought, despite this, since I was only using it for basic mail services, it should be fine. I did not have any fancy mailing requests, no crazy packaging needs....BASIC/STANDARD mail needs. I am moving my mail services to another place, even though my mailbox still has time left remaining from my initial rental agreement. First, this is not a clean, organized or a well structured place. There is crap everywhere....nick-nacks, kitchy shit everywhere, nearly everything is dusty, piles of boxes, bubble wrap. The floor has stuff stacked everywhere, in piles, stuff leaning against the wall - it looks like the beginnings of a hoarders episode. Other people's personal mail and packages are laying everywhere...I can't believe there hasn't been theft of other people's stuff. Someone who was less concerned with following the letter of the law could steal other people's packages, likely without anyone noticing. They do not have a consistent system for alerting their customers of packages. They have no way of knowing how many packages you have received, they just look around the general vicinity, to see if they can "Eye Spy" your PMB number on the boxes..and hand you what they can find. They dont know if you received one or seven packages...if they only see three of them...then you'll only get those three. Note: They scrawl your mailbox number all over your box and across the front of your address label on the package and leave all the packages on the counter and all over the floor - see the above paragraph about theft/security. Also - some online retailers can't process PMB #'s (this PMB number is essentially your PO Box #) and your online submission will get kicked back. You do not get a PO Box number/address, I assume because its not an official PO Box location... I will gladly pay another fee to get my mail and packages delivered to a more secure and professional place. I highly recommend that you NOT do any business here. read more

Besides charging 35 cents a page for black and white copies, they have rude employees and they misrepresent themselves. the following is an email that I sent their management! I was in your Postal Annex Location on July 9th at approximately 10 am. My purpose was to send AT and T equipment back to the company. The worker behind the counter, an East Indian man, informed me that I needed a label to send the equipment, this despite my informing him that the representative from AT and T and the AT and T mobile app, as well as the AT and T website informed me that no label was needed - I just had to provide my account number to the Fed Ex or UPS agent. What followed was over an hour of me at the counter or in my car having failed communication with AT and T because each representative insisted I did not need a label. I finally got a representative to provide a label but it was for the US post office and this same counter person refused to take it. I argued with this man that if this Postal Annex is representing itself as Fed Ex and UPS location, as is posted in twelve inch letters on your front window, then the equipment should be taken without a label as AT and T recommended. He very rudely insisted that he didn't have to because "they were lying" and he didn't have to believe it or do it. This is absolutely ludicrous! I have provided a link to the AT and T website stating the policy. Ok, now I see the 67 reviews on here average 2 stars. So the complete rudeness of the manager/owner should have been expected. I walked in and saw him eating lunch. So i was polite enough and said "go ahead and eat. "But I said i need my Irish passport renewed which means you need to sign back of my photos. He argued that i must sign it. I showed him the directions which explained the notary must sign the pics. The Consulate directions state that some CA notaries believe it is illegal to sign the form but it is not. So he came back and said read it that is illegal. He said I am not doing it. But he was really rude. He wasted 15 minutes of my time and he stated that I didnt read it properly. I have been an attorney since 1989. So i said ok, you should not have told me you could sign it. Then I called to tell him how rude he was. He claimed I threatened him to get him to sign the photos. It is really disturbing to go into a store , the owner/manager says can help you, and instead of saying I am sorry i cannot do it, he claims you threatened him which is a crime. It was so crazyt!!
