Solid place to order in from. My mother in law recently moved close to Positano's and was ordering from there frequently while her kitchen was being renovated. I ordered from Positanos using DoorDash. I know this restaurant has a decent reputation but I generally hadn't had such great luck here in the past so I usually order Italian elsewhere. I decided to try it again to see if time had made any improvements...with mixed results. My food arrived about an hour after the quoted time, and pretty cold. (I called them for a status and waited on hold twice for over 10 minutes each). I ordered eggplant parm with spaghetti, a calzone, chicken parm w/vodka sauce (never heard of that before), and pasta fagioli soup. The chicken dish was surprisingly tasty, though if it's called Parmesan I felt I'd like to see some cheese on top. Regardless it was good and I'd order it again. I came with two flat pieces of chicken which I felt was most likely breast. The calzone was pretty flat. I cut it and it was fairly empty looking, though when reheated there was gooey filling oozing out. The size of the sauce side was tiny and I had I use my own sauce. The eggplant parm was rather bland, and it was combined with the spaghetti side in one container, which I hate because it dries everything out. I give it an overall OK... and I order eggplant from every Italian restaurant in the area. The soup was very thick with both pasta and beans. I liked it but it needed some broth. It was more like a stew. Maybe they were just very busy, but I think my food should have been hot and Parmesan dishes need cheese on top. Calzones should have visible filling and more than a tablespoon side of sauce. Soup needs some broth. read more

Great family run BYOB pizzeria/Italian restaurant. The food never disappoints and their Fried Calamari is better than any high end restaurant. I was very impressed that they followed all the Covid 19 safety rules and only had 25% indoor capacity even though they could easily fill the place. This was wonderful to see especially since I have seen several other restaurants in the area filling their restaurants to 100% capacity. Tonight we had 7 pm reservations. We were seated within 5 minutes, which was great. That's where our positive experience ended. After 25 minutes of waiting, our orders were taken. After ONE HOUR AND 5 MINUTES, we got up and left. We didn't even get a glass of water in all that time. The waiter never came near us and we noticed people sitting near us weren't served either. This used to be a real good place but now since inflation hit, and I understand that, it has really changed. The salads are chopped so small there's no bite at all so there's really no flavor and you can't tell what's in it. I would definitely NOT recommend the chicken wings they are horrible! They were tough, the skin on them was so thick and they were big too. Didn't think they belonged to any chicken I'm familiar with! I was a little squeamish about who's wings they actually belonged to - ended up throwing them out! The garlic knots were doughy not cooked enough and saturated. Pizza not cooked enough and doughy as well - no sauce at all, not good. My thoughts are that you can still provide a good item even if you have to skimp on certain things, so I'm inclined to believe they must change whoever is doing the preparing. I want to give this place 3.65 stars! It is a warm fun family atmosphere with a broad menu and dining area that can accommodate larger groups. The portions are large which I don't really need but some folks love. They also do take out. The food & service is consistent and attentive. Loved this spot recommended to me by my aunt. Classic american Italian place with plenty of choices. I was on the hunt for some chicken parm and this place did not disappoint! I went with their twist on the classic and got my chicken parm drenched in delicious creamy vodka sauce, yumm! My boyfriend got shrimp fra diablo. While the actual spice level was a bit underwhelming, the red sauce was still delicious and flavorful with huge shrimps! We started with an order of calamri and caesar salad. Portions here are huge, I was already stuffed before they even brought out our entrees. Not complaining though, cause I got to eat chicken parm for BREAKFAST the next day! Two more highlights of this meal- complimentary hot and tasty garlic knots (yaaas) and it's a BYO! Service was also friendly and efficient. I came here for dinner for my sister in laws birthday. Its in a little shopping plaza, and its set up is really cute. I called and they took reservations. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I loved the warm bread that they started us off with. It was so good. Seemed like it just came out of the oven. I had the chicken special of the night. It was good- not the best that i've had but good. The kids ordered some clams which i tried, and they were quite tasty. My sister in law had a half-order of a caesar salad and a half order of a pasta dish. Overall, this place is A-OK in my books! read more

Everything is just too oily. They need to decrease on the oil. The pizza is good for the first 5 minutes but then the pizza gets cold and hardens up and then you can see the oil leaking out. And your fingers will be all oily after your done eating the bread. read more

The pizza here is excellent so I decided to try the dinners last night as I was very happy with my last order. The eggplant parm was absolutely terrible. There was a fishy or strange lingering taste throughout which was very offputting. The chicken vodka parm that my girlfriend ordered was not better and she only had a few bites and decided not to eat the rest. The bruschetta was the best part of the meal, nice fresh tomatoes and mozzarella with toasted bread. I would not recommend take out dinners from here, however the pizza was great. Very disappointed by my meal. My daughter and I ordered simple pasta dishes that arrived al dente. I understand this is the preferred method of cooking pasta, but we weren't given an option upon ordering and as a result the meal was quite disappointing. We both sent them back and requested they be cooked more. The replacement pasta dishes we received took a while to arrive and even though they were hot they were still just as al dente. I am not sure why it took so long since they clearly were not cooked any longer. We ate them as we were hungry, and since it took so long to get the replacement dishes the rest of our party was nearly done. I have ate here many times over the past 20 years but hadn't been in recently until last week when I met some friends for dinner. Upon being seated our waiter came over and informed us they are still a BYOB but you can buy full bottles of wine just not by the glass. He also brought over a bread basket with 3 different types of bread. My favorite was the one that reminded me of a larger garlic knot. For an appetizer, we spilt the fried calamari which had a very light breading and cooked perfectly. I would definitely recommend trying it. For dinner I went with a grilled chicken Cesar salad which was packed with chicken. It was a little light on the dressing so I asked the waiter to bring me more. Since the dressing was homemade and not from a bottle when he brought it out it tasted nothing like what was on my salad, more just like a glob of mayo and vinegar. He then offered to bring out the house dressing for me. I'm glad he did, best house dressing! We were all pretty full after our meals but we decided to take advantage of the free Yelp check in desert which was a cannoli. Staff here is very attentive and friendly. Food is legit. Since the pandemic,I have watched them go from takeout and delivery, to tailgating, To outdoor dining...to out door heated dining .They are one of the few restaurants ,I know, that enforces a 25% inside capacity. Doing it all while maintaining the strictest Covid mandates. They somehow figured out how to keep their staff, while maintaining the quality, and the excellence of the food they serve.At the height of the pandemic they had customers Donating money for catering to every hospital in the area.
