Little disappointed. Ordered the clams which barely had nothing in them. Ordered a Bocconcini Calzone with Spinach, Broccoli & Onions. Very small definitely not a calzone. More like a roll or pinwheel. Wasn't too bad but was expecting a bit more. The did throw in some garlic knots that was pretty good.

Pizza was wonderful, but the service was lacking. Stood at the counter for 5 minutes before anyone said anything to me.

I was in the mood for Italian and found this spot. I called in my order of clam pasta linguini with red sauce. When I arrived I parked in the plaza parking lot. I walked in and was greeted. I told the man my name and he grabbed my food. I paid and left. When I got in I dug in and the pasta was very good. The little pieces of clam were tasty and the sauce was tasty as well. I enjoyed.

Well tonight was a night of trial and error. For some reason pasta was on the brain so decided to try something new to us. I've never had stuffed mushrooms that were drenched in a broth. And I have stuffed mushrooms made by my off the boat family almost every Sunday - so that's interesting. Soggy mushrooms make the contents of the "stuffing" insignificant because half falls out or is drenched just seems like a waste. The same could be said for the eggplant rollatini appetizer. There are chunks of onion in the vodka sauce (which, as far as the order goes, is our fault; it does say it's in there) which is strange and kind of a waste. The chicken and spinach dish is exactly what it is except was quite wet and flavorless. I know that cooked spinach can be wet but it just seemed soupy. We didn't order the bread knots but they were dense and dry (the ones they gave). The bread that comes with the meals is good! Not not crispy if that's your jam. I'd say mediocre is the best descriptor. Won't be back, unfortunately.

Was in the mood for a calzone and my hotel recommended Taste of Tuscany. I was very happy with the recommendation and blown away by the experience. Came in and was seated promptly. I already new what I wanted but looked over the menu just to be sure. Stuck to my original thoughts and ordered the large calzone. Word of warning, this is a BIG CALZONE. I really enjoyed the quality of the food. Had a meatball, pepperoni and mushroom calzone. Quality ingredients and really good dough. Service was strong. The waiter was attentive but not overbearing. I was very happy with the service that I received. Overall this was a great place to grab some food. They have an extensive menu and from what I was told by other people, everything is good. The calzone was awesome and would recommend.

There are so many Italian/Pizza places in Wayne and so hard to know where to try... we have ordered from Taste of Tuscany so many times and it's a go-to for week night take-out. The pizza is always hot and delicious. We have also ordered sandwiches to go and never had a complaint! We have even gone late-night before closing and the owner was nice enough to throw in some pizza and chicken roll pieces and garlic knots on the house so they wouldn't end up in the trash

    Pepperoni pie, yum!

Opted to place order on their website and got the same item as last time. Showed up at and the same miserable guy asked for my name and order... and then said he didn't have any order. I told him I placed an order on the website... and he said "You should have called." with an awful (only a mother can love) grin. I showed him my email confirming 6:20pm pickup time and he said he had no order... before pulling a pie with my name on it. I asked if it had half pepperoni and it didn't. Full toppings AGAIN. Everything was delicious, fresh, and there was more than enough for everyone. From the pizza to the rest of the menu, every dish was a hit with our group. Owner Steve personally checked in throughout the party to make sure everything was going smoothly and that everyone was happy, which really showed how much pride they take in their restaurant and customers. This was truly a wonderful experience and a perfect place to celebrate such a special occasion. Unlike other spots in town Pizza One uses buffalo sauce as the base on the pizza, which is the only way go! Topped with mozz and buffalo chicken it's simple and so so good! Other places in town use a red sauce as their base which does not make sense to me. Another spot in town uses buff sauce but drowns their dough in it and that is just too much sauce, man. Pizza One has figured out the right sauce/cheese/chicken ratio. Their regular cheese pie is a winner too. They do a really nice thin but not too thin crust here which works for a plain pie but also is a nice base for loading up with the toppings too. I also have to talk about their garlic knots. Also the best that I've found in town (so far anyway..). They are big, fluffy and loaded with garlic. They are served w/ marinara but if you've got an extra buck I'd suggest you spring for the vodka sauce - it's sooooo good w/ the knots. No complaints re: service or wait times for pies. Pizza One is just a super solid spot in town to get food. Bonus -- if you order online they've always got some sort of deal going on - ie: a large cheese pie and 12 wings for $26 or 3 large pies for $42. We often order the pizza/wing combo (when I'm not insisting on ordering the aforementioned buffalo chicken pizza..) and when you compare to other spots you're saving at least $5 which is not nothin'.

The first margherita pizza I ordered was delicious and looked exactly like the photos they advertise online -- fluffy wood-fired crust, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, and overall high quality. That positive experience is the reason I ordered again. Tonight, however, I opened the box and received what looked more like a thin-crust cheese pizza with tiny pieces of what appeared to be spinach scattered on top instead of fresh basil. The crust was thin and flat, not the thick, airy wood-fired dough that is advertised on their website and delivery platforms. The fresh mozzarella was also replaced with grated cheese, which completely changed the pizza. When I called the restaurant, I was told they do "Tavern Thursdays," where the margherita pizza is made differently -- thin crust, grated cheese, and basil sprinkled on instead of the traditional version. My issue is not necessarily that they offer a different style on Thursdays -- it's that this was NOT clearly advertised anywhere on the website or ordering platform where I placed my order. I was instead told that the information is posted on Instagram. That is unacceptable. Customers should not have to check a restaurant's social media to find out that the item they're ordering is completely different from what is being advertised on the actual ordering platform. If the pizza is going to be fundamentally changed one day a week, that should be clearly stated on the website, menu, and delivery apps before checkout. Otherwise, it feels misleading and false advertising. The pizza I received looked nothing like the photos used to advertise the margherita pizza, and not at all like the one I previously received. Really disappointing experience, especially after such a great first order.

Smash'N Pizza a great little upbeat neighborhood pizzeria on Union Blvd. In Totowa feels fun from the second you walk in. It's the kind of spot that's just as good for a casual slice as it is for a laid‑back burger with friends. The room is limited in size but buzzing, with bright red and black splashed across the walls, a few chairs and tables, and décor carefully planned so the whole space feels energetic and modern. Logos and graphics are scattered throughout, giving the restaurant a playful, branded vibe that makes it look and feel like a cool little Italian hangout rather than a typical slice joint. Pizza, which we shared as an appetizer is the star, with pies that come out hot, crisp, and flavorful, piled with fresh toppings if that's your choice, and a sauce that tastes like it was made that morning. As for me, I always prefer a plain cheese pie. Right alongside the pizza, the burgers were surprisingly fantastic too, juicy and well‑seasoned, and the menu branches out into plenty of other tempting choices to accomodate everyone's taste. I tried the double cheeseburger, along with fries and onion rings, and would certainly recommend giving it a try. Service and hospitality were on point, quick and friendly. And being greeted like a regular, even on my first visit, and checking in often without hovering was appreciated. The overall atmosphere made the place feel welcoming and relaxed, turning a quick lunch into the kind of experience people look forward to repeating. BTW: Smash'N Pizza is a BYOB and has off street free parking. Thank you to Roberto (Robert) and staff for a nice afternoon. We will certainly be back. 12/13/2025
