My wife and I stopped by on Easter after many other pizza joints were closed down. The service was amazing, the grandma slices we had while we waited were delicious and the worker even showed us our pizza a couple times to make sure it was baking to our like (we didn't ask, just a good customer service piece). The inside was clean and simple. This place just earned themselves a customer. read more

Lucci’s Pizza - Large Classic NYC Cheese Pie - Pizza Near Me - Clifton, New Jersey

Their service is terrible here. The guy in the front clearly doesn't want to work at Lucci's and seems bothered to handle anything at all. 1st time: Placed an order over the phone on Sunday evening. Guy seemed overwhelmed and reluctantly took my order. I showed up 30 min later and no one had any record of my order. I recognized the guy's voice and told him he took my order. He was pissed and got into a shouting match with me with 3 other customers around. He eventually apologized and offered a free side of meatballs and spaghetti (don't order that btw, super underwhelming). 2nd time: Wife placed an order for a pie with half pepperoni on their website. Came back with the order and the pie had full toppings. Small nit but annoying. 3rd time: I called at 6pm on a Thursday. No one picked up. Opted to place order on their website and got the same item as last time. Showed up at and the same miserable guy asked for my name and order... and then said he didn't have any order. I told him I placed an order on the website... and he said "You should have called." with an awful (only a mother can love) grin. I showed him my email confirming 6:20pm pickup time and he said he had no order... before pulling a pie with my name on it. I asked if it had half pepperoni and it didn't. Full toppings AGAIN. Clearly, their website is not equipped to actually take half toppings orders. Pizza is OK but not worth the headache or poor service here. read more

So when I want a slice of pizza late night "lately" this has been my go to spot. They close at midnight except for Friday and Saturday which is at 2am. I love a slice of pizza that has the crunchy bottom and the pepperoni is charred and cupped. Their white slice is good too. If you want that crunch but not too crunchy come here for a late night slice. They have pastas and sandwiches but never had it. Maybe one day. Pros: - Quick and friendly service - Crunch bottom pizza slices for those who love eating it this way - Opens late on the weekends until 2am - Want coffee?? Dunkin is next door but they close a lot earlier than here Cons: - Limited seating area - Small parking lot but late night there's always a spot Come check them out for a late night slice! read more

Great grandma pizza. A bit thicker than usual and a little overdone which was delicious. Ordered to eat at a local brewery and hit the spot perfectly. read more

Roadside pizzeria on Rt 3 west in Clifton. Brick oven pizza, which I'm always a fan. Wasn't mad at the pizza, sprinkled with fresh whole basil for a nice touch. My one daughter had the Spicy Rigatoni and had no complaints. Said it was tasty with a slight kick. Also ordered the Italian Combo Sandwich and wasn't a fan. The Cherry pepper spread wasn't that good. Could do without it in my opinion. Small sit down area, so don't expect a big comfortable dining room. Friendly counter service and they delivered the food to the table. Nothing special and I'll give it an Incomplete pass. read more

We love the dough that Lucci's uses - it's crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. I also enjoyed their spicy rigatoni vodka with crispy chicken cutlet and tiramisu. All around a solid Italian spot with friendly employees and a cozy fast casual atmosphere! read more

Great pizza for a good price that is comparable if not better than NYC. Decent service that was quick with no fuss and has the ambiance of a small diner. These are Costco sized slices and reheating in the oven made them absolutely delicious read more

We were coming back from vacation and craving some good ole Jersey pizza. Lucci's hit the spot and exceeded any expectations we had. The crust was super crispy and had the perfect amount of flop, and the sauce and cheese was cooked to perfection and super flavorful. I moved back to Jersey (YAY) and got so excited when I remembered that I can now just find random pizzerias and have pizza anytime of day lol. Lucci's was the pizzeria that was the closest to me after I did a bit of Christmas shopping so I decided to run in and see what they were talking about. Outside there's a sign that says "under new ownership" so it doesn't scream Lucci's, but if you see the sign that's the right place. Walking in it immediately took me back to an old world style pizzeria because of the decor and all the pies and slices lined up at the counter. The gentleman making the pies immediately greeted me and I decided on ordering a regular slice to eat in (a regular slice is how you judge a pizzeria) and I also got two squares to go (1 vodka and the other grandma). The slices were warmed up a little and my to-gos were packed in traditional paper bags with the paper plates and I grabbed a seat to eat the plain slice. First thing I noticed was that the crust was a little thicker than I'm used to, however, it was perfectly balanced between crisp and doughy and the pizza itself was pretty good...good enough that I couldn't wait until later to eat my to-go squares lol. The vodka was my favorite square ... I mean it was delicious! And there's a nice surprise on the bottom crust of sesame seeds which I've never had on pizza but it worked and took it to the next level! The grandma square was great too and it made me realize that I've gotta go back to try their other squares (& to get another vodka one lol). read more

Wow!! First time having Luccis and I'll say -- I'm excited to go back and order a custom pie I'm a vodka sauce snob. and this one was good! They decorate the shop with the cans of tomatoes so you know that sauce is homemade‍ Sauce was chunky and flavorful. Sicilian slices were thick but damn I enjoyed the crust so much. Sesame seeds on the crust were a KILLER ADDITION to some of these slices. My job had actually placed a huge order here and I heard some good stuff so I'm glad I finally got to try it. Plus it's close to my house! This shop is small and there's not too much seating for a group larger than maybe 5-6. More 5-6 small tables of 2-3! Loved the old school style vibes here. everything from the graphics used as their logo to the feel of the shop just screams like "this is the hole in the wall spot to be" Semi-hidden on route 3, if you're driving too fast you'll miss it. But the lucky ones who stop for a slice during the sunset because rush hour on 3 is awful, they'll understand what this place is all about. Small family owned, the owner Tim is a gem! Def try the vodka sauce here!! I didn't try the cup and char pepperoni but that's definitely going on my custom pie when I come back read more

I've eaten at this pizzeria about 4-5 times. And I've never left disappointed. Their pizza is on point. Ever since 3 West pizza closed down, I was waiting for a pizza joint to open up in this location again. Thank goodness Lucci's revamped this store and opened up. They have a pretty good selection of pizzas on their menu as well as sandwiches, pastas and some desserts. You pay the price you pay because it's quality pizza! The service is fast and on-point. The vibes in this place are about as laid back as you can want it. The owners are cool. read more

Don't believe the social media hype. This was good pizza but nothing that stands out.

Pizza game in the Garden State is tough. Many many players all competing for the same dollars. For a new place to open they need an edge and that edge needs to be really good pizza. After all, Connecticut BS, aside we are the pizza capital. Stopped by Route 3 Pizza on my way home and saw they had been replaced. I had been there before and found it to be good, not exceptional mind you but okay, especially given it was literally on my way home. And what it turned into is something truly special. Delicious brick oven pizza in a really organic space offering a bunch of varieties in both pies and slices. I've been there twice on my way home this week which says more than any review could. I'm sure it's just the beginning. Kudos. read more

10/10 the service was quick and easy , the prices are reasonable and all our food came out hot delicious and fresh this is our second time coming here because the service was so good the first time and the food. Only thing I would say is the pizza is slightly salty which I just imagine might be the cheese. We even ordered wings and after the guys realized they sold out gave us the difference back and offered us a pepperoni wheel so sweet and thoughtful read more

Hidden gem of a pizza joint located on Rt. 3 westbound located in Clifton. I had a couple slices of pizza and a chicken/ broccoli roll. Starting with the food it was very good. Had a police officer plain cheese pizza and a slice of square pizza with basil and vodka sauce. The plain slice was good and the vodka slice was outstanding. The chicken/broccoli roll was very good. I usually don't order these but I'm glad I did. Loaded with broccoli, chicken, mushrooms, and plenty of cheese. Will definitely be trying some of these again in the future. Rounding out the experience was the service which was excellent. The guy at the counter was friendly and great. The owner was in there as well and he was a really nice guy. I will definitely be back here to support this local business. read more

Has pepperoni pizza and all of New Jersey the barbecue ones are very nice and the mozzarella sticks too

Oh wow! Absolutely great food. I discovered this spot through a TikTok video and bookmarked it and after a few months I made it here and oh wow what a find. Absolutely loved it! That MVP grandma slice was delicious. I had a plain slice and a pepperoni slice which were also very dang good but my favorite was the MVP slice. Very very satisfying with the pizza here, its a must try but the chicken parm platter was even better. That chicken parm is in a class of its own, definitely a must try. I highly recommend Lucci's to anybody that's thinking about stopping by. I met the cook behind the counter, I believe his name was Abe, sorry if I got it wrong, I suck with names but very nice guy. Service was great and price was good so there's no reason not to give this place a try. I'm definitely stopping by again when I'm in the area. Oh and check out the restroom, I love the interior design, very cool looking bathroom. read more

Stopped by Lucci's today for takeout, love how the restaurant looks but the location is a bit hard to get to. I placed an online order and unfortunately had to wait longer than expected but didn't mind since I wasn't in a rush. I think for their online popularity should hire at least one more person to do the opening shift as when I got there only the pizza maker was there and he was taking on all the roles of the store. The food was excellent, we got the spicy rigatoni and a variety of slices! The spicy rigatoni is spicy warned! But everything was very tasty and I love the pizza sauce they use! If I'm in the area again I definitely will be back! read more

Stopped in with my son after picking him up from college. What a fantastic pizza shop. Small, place, perfectly decorated for what it is.....a great place for pizza. The selections were focused and concise, and everything we had was fantastic. My son and I actually talked about it for a good portion of the ride home. They make the pizza well done, as it should be. Vodka slice, grandma slice, pepperoni slice, all amazing......don't pass this place.....stop and get a slice now.... Apparently Portnoy did yesterday........ read more

The Margherita Pizza is really good. I have been on the search for some really pizza and I have found the place.

Placed and order with Uber Eats and the salad I ordered was not done the right way. Also the pizzas slices I ordered were not delivered to me. On a day like today Mothers Day should not be done. Poor service on not giving the delivery driver the food ordered. I will not again buy 14$ for lettuce And 3 crouton. read more

Incredible food. The pizza in particular. I made it kind of a ritual to stop by here before heading over to Costco and whenever I do I'm impressed by any slice they have available. It's okay. The penne vodka was not bad but too salty for my taste. The shrimp scampi was good but there were like four shrimp. And it's not cheap. I feel like if you're paying a lot, the food should either be outstanding or you should get a ton of food. Neither was the case here. read more

I know they have new management so I can't tell if Lucci's is the new name or route 3 (because that's what's still in the front of the store) regardless their pizza was delicious. Got to try a person I, veggie, plain, and mushroom. I took this to go but crisped up once at home and it was sturdy, not too oily, flavorful. I would definitely come back again read more

Was visiting my BFF and craving pizza, so of course I looked here to see what I could find. Looked at photos of Lucci's pizza and thought it looked like it could be good. So, we decided to give Lucci's a try despite the little reviews they had. Boy, were we happy to find this gem! We ordered two large pepperoni pizzas for take out. The smell coming from the hot pizza warmed the car with mouthwatering deliciousness. Just the smell gave me hope that we had made a good decision. When we got home, the pizza was the perfect temperature to dive into without burning your mouth. And all 4 of us agreed it's some of the best pizza we've had in a while. We'll surely be coming back for more! read more

Have passed this place many times over the years and finally decided to stop in for lunch. I am glad I did. The place is small inside, but can fit 18 guests. Man behind the counter was very friendly. Ordered 2 slices, 1 pepperoni and 1 sausage. Nice size and very tasty. The sauce had a great taste to it and the slices had a very good amount of toppings. They use the small cupped pepperoni here. Prices are about average. I highly recommend that if you are in the area, stop by. You won't be disappointed once you visit. read more

I've been coming here with my son for a few months the now - it's become an almost weekly tradition now. Food is great and staff is friendly. Portion sizes are great too. I wanted to give them a 3.5 but you can't here. Let's start with the pros. The pizza was crispy and dough was airy, the sauce was ok. Definitely well done and cooked as it should be. The cons this wa so oily! Do they use cheep cheese. It flopped to much because of the oil and made me say I'm not going back. Work on your cheese please. Def not a 7.6 more like a 7.2 read more
