    Classic Cheese Slice
    Whitney G.

Amore Pizza absolutely hit the spot! The slice I ordered was massive (big enough to share with my honey). In my opinion, it's honestly one of the biggest and best in Nutley. The crust was perfectly crispy, the sauce was flavorful, and the whole thing was just incredibly delicious. Sometimes you just need a slice that delivers on all fronts, and Amore did exactly that. If you're in the area and craving pizza that's satisfying and full of flavor, this is the place. I'll definitely be back!

Found this place on door dash, and then realized they are pretty popular! The door dash and uber eats app options are slightly disappointing, no option to add toppings to the heart shaped pizza. Also the heart pizza was a bit disappointing, shape wise. It just looked like a deformed circle but maybe I'm being too picky. Just comparing to other restaurants I've had. The sample photos and price justifies a bit more effort or just take it off the menu honestly. The pizza itself was good! I really liked the garlicky flavor, sauce tasted fresh and the dough was also a hit. We really wanted toppings so I got 1 slice with pepperoni, I could have skipped this. Although the slice should be the same as the heart pizza, just with added pepperoni, the flavors were veryyyyy different, the pizza was dry and tasted like it sat in the restaurant all day. Do yourself a favor and order a pie. Also, if you are doing a pick up order beware there may be some challenges. The front person working kept asking for a QR code, we confirmed name and showed a screenshot of the order. I order out a decent amount and do pick up on door dash and uber eats and never have been given a QR code. She asked a few times so it did become a tad overwhelming. Nonetheless, it's a good pizza place compared to Jersey options. Hoping for a slightly better experience next time.

Classic pie. $17 Good price. Good flavor. Fast service at 11:45 AM on a Thursday. Too much flop.

Decided to come in for a cheese pizza and was kindly greeted by Carlos. He was very nice and prepared my order right away. The inside of the store was small and cozy and there were covered tables outside along with an ordering window. The pizza tasted delicious. I had a great experience and can't wait to try other flavors!

    Nonna pizza at Amore

One of the best pizzas in town! Service is top notch & the pizza is fantastic. We tried the Nonna pie for the first time & it did not disappoint. Pizza slices are always good no matter what you get. Jack is a fun guy to talk to!

That's Amore ain't no lie! I was driving right by this 900 square feet gem and had to pull over to grab a pie. After all it's home of the Giuseppe pie! Now that's when the moon it's your eye! Friendly family-run staff, parking and outdoor dining (too bad there's no indoor-but pretend your on the Seaside boardwalk and you'll be fine) make this place shine. Most pies are thin crust and yeah there's plenty of ultra thin too. In the words of The Terminator, "I'll be back!" And you will be too!

(Anyone else see the full clunky name of this place and have flashbacks to high school with subordinate clauses and diagramming sentences?!) At this little rectangle of a building across the street from the Nutley Diner just a stone's throw from a really busy intersection is where you'll find a seriously delicious pizza. We went with the "thinny skinny" and we had the foresight to order two. As advertised: it's thinny and it's skinny (I really think I could fit an entire slice in my mouth but I was raised better than that). It's well-charred and packed a nice punch. (If you lean more towards a more stiff-cracker-bottom... you won't be happy with the wimpy-flimsy style here.) Our family of four demolished the first pie in minutes and put a good dent in the second one. Menu pricing is a touch steep (on some items) but it's a damn good pizza. Cool crew behind the counter. There's a (narrow) parking lot but things can get a bit hairy coming/going with all the traffic in that area. Can 'Amore' hold their own against (the beloved but overrated) Star Tavern? Definitely. Can 'Amore' go toe-to-toe against Kinchley's Tavern (the reigning champ of the thin crust pie in North Jersey)? Well...

All you need to know is this is the pizza of my dreams. 1. Don't crucify me but this is the supermodel version of a domino's pan pizza (which has no likeable qualities besides the crust) 2. Sauce has amazing flavor and there is extra on top which is a 1000/10 3. Just enough cheese, not too greasy and awesome. Best pizza I've had in a while around Nutley/Clifton area

To be fair I haven't ordered the pizza yet but I did order calamari For $15 you get over cooked dry and restaurant depot calamari it was like tough rubber looked Moore like onion rings than calamari Most places I order from for less had better quality calamari more like homemade They should be as of themselves for selling this at that price I ordered on Uber eats and in the notes asked for the sauce to be spicy but no Maybe that would have killed the taste Very disappointed not sure if I'll try the pizza left a bad taste in my mouth Threw this away and had to order elsewhere and pay for that too I'll have to take the loss

    Pizza

Worst pizza ever, all terrible sauce, no cheese. Whatever happened to a good pie? This is not it, save your money, time and stomach.

Place over rated. Pies are dry and tasteless. Will never order from them again. Plus, they are over priced. Not happy with this place.

Guy seemed overwhelmed and reluctantly took my order. I showed up 30 min later and no one had any record of my order. I recognized the guy's voice and told him he took my order. He was pissed and got into a shouting match with me with 3 other customers around. He eventually apologized and offered a free side of meatballs and spaghetti (don't order that btw, super underwhelming). 2nd time: Wife placed an order for a pie with half pepperoni on their website. Came back with the order and the pie had full toppings. Small nit but annoying. 3rd time: I called at 6pm on a Thursday. No one picked up. Opted to place order on their website and got the same item as last time. Showed up at and the same miserable guy asked for my name and order... and then said he didn't have any order. I told him I placed an order on the website... and he said "You should have called." with an awful (only a mother can love) grin. I showed him my email confirming 6:20pm pickup time and he said he had no order... before pulling a pie with my name on it. I asked if it had half pepperoni and it didn't. Full toppings AGAIN. Clearly, their website is not equipped to actually take half toppings orders. Pizza is OK but not worth the headache or poor service here.

We spotted Blue Steel which had good, modern curb appeal to our hungry tummies. It looks like downtown Bloomfield is having a moment with some new condos and nicer restaurants coming in. Thanks, gentrification!? Inside has a clubby, bar vibe and we were seated at a hightop near the bar. I love a good wedge salad. I prefer the classic but I appreciate BSP's variation that has tomato, cucumbers, crispy frizzled onions, feta cheese, homemade ranch dressing, and everything sprinkle seasoning. It was generously sized and refreshing. And there's nothing but good things to say about the Detroit-style ezzo pepperoni pie, except that i wish I had a bigger stomach to eat MORE. After the salad (shared), I was only able to manage one slice, but it was a happy slice. My first time trying Detroit-style and it didn't disappoint. PS: There's a tiny, very lumpy and bumpy parking lot in the back that is very tricky to maneuver back out of. If it hadn't been for an Uber driver who got briefly trapped back in there with me, I might still be there today

There is no…read moreshortage of pizza, as they have anywhere from 2,000 to 3,000 pizza restaurants using their family recipe to make some of the best pizzas in America. As the third-largest producer of tomatoes in the entire country, this key pizza-making ingredient not only sets New Jersey's classic 'tomato pies' apart from any ordinary pizza. This 10,000-square-foot, two-story establishment with a neon-lit sign on Glenwood Ave in Bloomfield asks, "Just another pizzeria?" They also house a 20-seat speakeasy that's open Thursday through Saturday called the Rab.bit Hole that can be found upstairs behind a hidden entrance. Opened in 2020, Blue Steel Pizza Company is the answer and should become obvious after looking at the menu. A reservation was easily made via Resy. My partner and I were greeted at the host station and got a regular table in the 1st-floor dining room by the pizza oven in the middle. The vibe was modern and industrial. Patrons had to use their phone flashlights to read the menu as the lighting was pretty dim. They are known for their Detroit-style pizza--a pie baked in a rectangular, traditionally blue-steel pan, the kind once used by autoworkers. It's made with a blend of mozzarella cheese and traditional Wisconsin brick cheese that melts down the side of the pie, making for a burnt, gooey, cheesy crust. It's cold-fermented for three days and is closer to sourdough. It has real flavor and an airier texture. It's like a lighter version of a Sicilian with a buttery crust. As a starter, we decided on the Chopped Salad. For our main entrée, we opted for the Jersey Tomato Pizza Pie. Portions run big enough for sharing, and we downed them with the 1911 Cider. The pizza crust was light, airy, and crispy with the right amount of fresh ingredients, making the ensemble tastefully delicious. The staff was attentive, friendly, and accommodating, and our server was Adam. The price was comparable to the area. We had a wonderful experience and would recommend this place.

I know it sort of changed management to a lovely guy whose name I don't remember who when he first took over came out with samples of delicious specialty pizza and warmly greeted everyone. I placed an order for delivery two days ago. The pizza was good as usual but the lentil soup was really salty, no exaggeration enough to overpower any taste of lentils - I added two cups of water and threw in some ditalini, added garlic, and it was still salty. I'm not sure why that would happen but here's a full proof way to make good lentil soup: per pound of dry lentils, first sautee a chopped medium onion, chopped large stalk of celery and a large or two medium size carrots, two cloves of chopped garlic in some olive oil, then add the lentils, and around 3-4 inches of water above the line of lentils and allow to simmer, don't add salt until it's closer to the lentils being cooked. People with high blood pressure or pregnant cannot handle the amount of salt that was added. It was worse than canned soup. I have ordered it before, last time was around 4 years ago and it was fine. Of course, it may just be an error or a new person making the soup. I have thought that since the change in management, maybe a seasoned Italian woman cook in the kitchen might be a good addition to at least train the staff. I get the impression that the staff are more pizza makers than cooks. I ordered an artichoke not long ago that tasted good but was not fully cooked, my friend ordered lasagne that was covered in mozzarella and was probably over microwaved or however it is heated, and was like paste. This isn't intended to be rude but to point out that for the most part I like your food but feel like certain things can use more care.
