It really could have been baked and extra minute or two to make the crust less chewy and rubbery. 3/5 for the cheap price and speed which makes it a good alternative to some of the fast-food options around here. i have no problem with the food but my only issue and problem is the delivery guy i dont know whats his nationality is but hes like maybe Arabic or Indian, but that guy always giving me an attitude for not giving him more money for tips, you get what you get for giving me an attitude, always keep saying he has to drive far away, is not like im calling you from Patterson or even farther im calling you from passaic. Romao is the joint in Passic for pizza. They may be Jersey but they are more like New York style then anything else and offer a smorgasbord of pizza types and customize pies along with,l hot and cold heros and pasta to go dishes that will please the most critical meatball you know. I like to get the half cheese half sausage pies. They do the crumpled lite spicy sausage and not the slice. Very good pizza and pasta dishes here. Located right by the Quick-Chek, they have been here for years with the same people running it and preparing the food. The spaghetti & meatballs are delicious and filling. Open 7 days a week and they have there own parking lot. Only complaint I have is that I live less than 2 miles away and they won't deliver to Nutley. They do deliver to Passaic Oark & Clifton though. Prices are about par for the area. It was a windy day that day, my friends. Sunny, with beautiful nimbus clouds in the secend tier of the stratosphere. I was visiting from Chicago, and my friend picked me up from Newark Airport. We were in the mood for pizza after my long journey with many flight delays. Alas, I made it alive and we made it to Romeo's. I called ahead, and politely ordered a small white pizza with tomatoes and spinach. The woman who took the order seemed like a very nice girl over the phone. She was on spring break, and instead of going to Acapulco with the rest of her sorority sisters, she decided to work and save up some money. Hard working young girl, so I gave an extra tip on the credit card. Delivery was very fast. That was pretty much the best thing. The pizza was undercooked and the tomatoes and spinach soaked into the crust so it had the consistency of a pint of half melted ice cream. Best pizza in the Passaic Clifton area hands down. This place has been here forever. Been coming here since I was a kid. The owner Mr Romeo was my algebra teacher in high school. Not sure why I don't come here more. Maybe it's because they don't deliver to Clifton. Classic pizza joint, good customer service, and anything off their menu is delish. The pizza is no frills. The sauce must be a family secret, definitely not something that's bought at a restaurant depot. Make sure to order your pie extra crispy. You won't be sorry. Romeo's Pizza was a surprising find for my sister and myself. We were doing some grocery shopping in a nearby town when we said: "lets try somewhere new for lunch." Did a quick Yelp search and found Romeo's in Passaic with good reviews. They're located right off a main street in Passaic and parking is easy to find - there's street parking, their private lot and the huge lot next door at Quickchek and some auto parts spot. Inside, you'll see that they are a no-frills kind of spot and a known local favorite. They have some wooden booths and tables (~10) that fit about 4 each, with a simple counter for ordering. We ordered buffalo wings, a turkey sub and a slice of pepperoni pizza. The orders all came out within 10 minutes and the food was spot-on. Turkey sub was my personal order and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Too big to finish all in one sitting, but really good combo (turkey, lettuce, cheese, mayo, oregano, oil & vinegar) they helped me put together. They neatly packed in the deli meat and took time by neatly shredding the lettuce versus doing a rough chop. Trust me, this actually makes for a difference in taste. I also got a bite of the buffalo wings and that was well-battered, crispy and coated in a tasty, semi-spicy buffalo sauce. A return trip is definite in the future after this positive first visit. Everyone has a childhood pizza spot and this is mine. I've been going to Romeo's for over 25 years and they have maintained the same level of excellence the whole time. Perfect crust with chewy and crunchy parts, a great sauce and just the right amount of cheese for nicely balanced slice. I've had other pizzerias challenge Romeo's for the top spot in my heart (stomach really I guess) and they remain in the top of the rotation. But twice we received a pie that tasted like the prebaked ones that sit on the counter for those that come in for a slice or two. Romeo's pizza is delicious, but only if you get it made fresh. If you stop in for a slice, you get a completely different pizza -- tastes like cardboard, barely cooked, and is stale, stale, stale. Not sure it's even safe to eat! How long was it sitting on the shelf? Got a pizza delivered yesterday, and the delivery guy was nasty as all heck, complaining about a $2.00 tip on a $13 pie. And Romeos puts a $1.00 tip automatically on the bill! So he got $3.50 tip, more than 20%. I won't order again. Neither will my husband. We're done with Romeos. read more

This is my absolute favorite place to get pizza. Having grown up in Passaic, this was where I went to eat before dance class or as a Friday treat after school.
