I came here today and ended up getting a pepperoni pizza. The pizza was a thinner crust and oily. $22 for the pie and pay cash to save on the credit card tax that it seems all these places are doing now. It wasn't the best pizza, but it wasn't the worst. Being a Lifelong Jersey pizza eater I don't know why everyone loves and raves about this pizza? I would never serve slices that well done, it was so hard I couldn't eat the crust. I only went here because of the reviews, it was Pi day, and I needed to eat. They claim that they have the "best pizza in NJ" on their soda cups , well maybe in Wayne, NJ because that is a pretty bold claim. Maggie's across the street serves a really good, comparable thin crust pizza. Maybe the regulars are served differently but I was not even welcomed and many others didn't know where to order/pick up. I really had to laugh when the young man behind the counter called a not much older gentleman SPORT! Lol! As another reviewer stated the decor is reminiscent of the 70's restaurants. Also from where I was seated there was an off odor coming from the back of their counter/ refrigerator. They could do well with a deep cleaning. read more

This is a MUST pizza spot! If you're looking for good NJ pizza this is the place. I just moved to Wayne a week ago and I was recommended to come here for a pie. I called on a Friday late afternoon and I could tell they were busy because I was put on hold as soon as I was greeted. You have the option for pick up or delivery. I chose pick up. (Faster) We ordered a large pepperoni pie and the zucchini sticks. The zucchini sticks come with a side of marinara sauce. Both of the items we ordered were amazing! The pizza tasted like old school pizza and I love that. Because we ordered pepperoni and they were very generous with the portion it was a little oily. However, that didn't stop me from enjoying the pizza. I just took a napkin to soak some of it up. The zucchini sticks were crispy and well seasoned. Giving these guys a boost bc they deserve it. The pizza is straight up GREAT even though it's a bit of a grease bomb bc they use that high octane full fat mozz that melts into a layer of orange liquid. If it's a problem for you just blot that shit and keep eating. Service is fast and exactly what you'd expect at a pizza counter - casual and friendly. In addition to the regular pie and pepperoni pie we also got a thin crust drunken vodka Nona which was the absolute highlight for us. Just order it well done or it'll be a bit flimsy. Heard great things about this local place. Took my family there for dinner and the disappointment set in as soon as I stepped in the door. We (family of 5) were ignored when we finally took off our invisibility cloaks we ordered a pie, 3 meals, and and appetizer. All came out separately, which is fine, I loved making 5 trips to the counter! When I got my chicken parm meal the chicken was cold, the pasta was scorching, and the bread was burnt. My wife's order of veal was over cooked to the point where it should have been turned into boots! If your looking to get a pizza go for it but skip the meals!! read more

Just picked up 4 slices of pizza an hour ago and asked for 2 plain and 2 with Pepperoni and Mushrooms and side salad. Had to repeat myself 6 times and put me on hold at least 3 times. Of course she got it wrong as my wife picked it up and decided to check the order. I called back and she didn't care and wanted the manager and kept asking me why. the manager Alex did call me after and apologized and offered to buy us dinner next time and we will take him up on it since we are moving to Bucks County PA in 2 weeks. Not sure what happened, used to be a decent pizza place. Stopped in for lunch and got two plain slices - dripping with oil, flopping mess.

Vinni's has the BEST, most unique slices in Wayne. I used to come here for lunch during high school (6 years ago...) and it's still consistent after all these years! The best slices are the tortellini (with vodka sauce) and the buffalo chicken. The buffalo actually has chunks of blue cheese with the dressing, which makes the slice. Everyone is very nice and Vinnie's which makes the meal that much better. read more

This is a total sleeper spot. After passing this odd looking place every day on the way to work i figured i'd ask some coworkers who live local about it. To my surprise everyone said how much they loved this place. Judging by the bizarre storefront you would not know this place is any good, although it looks like it has survived the test of time, so that could be telling. I decided to take matters into my own hands and stopped in on the way home from work one day. "I'll take 1 plain slice" "Anything else?" "no" "no drink or anything?" "nope" Keeping the story short - it was hard not to eat the paper plate with the pizza. God damn was it good. You can always judge a pizza place by its plain slice - there's no hiding behind anything. If your sauce sucks - i'll know about it. One bite, everyone knows the rules - a solid 8.7/10. This is classic NJ Italian style pizza. On the thinner side, perfectly sauced and cheesed. I was very impressed. I'd recommend FOR SURE. With all that being said. Our family faves: Pasta fagiole soup (so comforting, I crave it) Meatballs (delightfully heavy, fresh bright red sauce) Cheesesteaks (any toppings you want, best in town) Pepperoni roll (my hubs and son's tradition here) Salad pizza (SO FRESH, crust is crunchy and hearty enough to support all the toppings. Friggin awesome) A big ol plain greasy in a good way cheese pie hot out of the oven Grape "drink" out of the fountain machine (not my fave but my hubs and kid can't get enough of it!) New tables and chairs would make me happy but let's face it - we'd probably miss the nostalgia of the old stuff so we'll let that slide. I'll start this off by saying that me and a few friends ordered from here for pickup 45-30 minutes before closing, so maybe that fact affected the quality of the food. We ordered about two weeks ago from the time of my writing this. We ordered a chicken parmesan pie, a chicken cutlet sandwich, french fries, and chicken wings. Our order came with a baguette and a salad. The good - not the best wings I've ever had, but they were meaty and tasty enough to be satisfying. The chicken sandwich was also pretty good, it was packed pretty well with chicken, so it was hard to close. Some people might complain about this, but I always appreciate when places don't skimp out on the meat they add in. And despite the fact that I ate this sandwich reheated the next day, I really enjoyed it. The french fries were also pretty good, and I did like them adding in the salad to our order, which was also good. The not so good - You'd expect that the best thing from a pizza place would be it's pizza, but this wasn't the case here unfortunately. It just wasn't that tasty, and it felt like they didn't leave it in the oven long enough. Maybe it was our mistake for ordering the kind we did, but still, I expected a little more. It definitely wasn't the worst pizza I've ever had, but also not the best. Also, not a big deal but the bread was stale. It went to the birds. The prices are pretty average for a pizza place, and the staff seemed to have a good sense of humor, which is always a plus. It was also nice that they were open later than the other pizza spots in the area, we definitely appreciated that. I can't speak for the look of the place or the parking situation because I did not go to pick it up. While I freely admit to being biased since I grew up eating Vinni's (since it opened in 1979), there is no way any reasonable person could say this isn't at least good pizza, though I would insist it is a notch above legendary. If you like doughy, overly cheesy, sweet sauce, or brick oven pizza you've come to the wrong place. Vinni's is a perfect blend of scrumptious cheese, sauce, and dough. It's always better if you order a whole pie, but even a reheated slice will do you justice. Their sicilian slices are excellent, too. I don't really get into all the fancy pizzas because then it's more about the toppings than the pizza. Anybody can hide a subpar slice with mounds of toppings, but I'll put a Vinni's slice against anyone (I've lived in NYC for over 25 years... and STILL haven't found a comparable slice. And spare me the pro-NYC pizza BS. It's overrated.). The only thing I'm not a fan of is their calzone and breaded chicken (get grilled chicken if you order a chicken parm hero), but these are mere trivial details. Order the pizza and keep an extra napkin handy to wipe the tears of heavenly joy from your eyes. Pro Tip: the Special Sub (basically an Italian hero) is among the best, and their cheesesteak (I prefer with mozzarella or provolone, instead of their default American cheese) is as good or better than just about anyone's (including Philly). Yes - you read that correctly. If you are a filthy animal or with a group, I'd suggest splitting a special sub, cheesesteak, and whole pie. You're welcome. read more

Still the best pie in Wayne. I've been ordering there now for 24 years. It's an old fashion New York style kind of pizza. I always order it well done with one topping. I do not order anything else off the menu but it's still a delicious pie and makes a great breakfast cold the next morning.
