Upon walking in i was greeted with a hello. As I was only getting two slices of pizza the gentleman and young man at the counter were welcoming. Smiles and all. As you enter you walk into a counter with some delicious looming pizza. I ordered two regular slices which they warmed up to a temperature that I love. Not very hot. The right amount of sauce and cheese. very good. Definitely would come back. There is a big dining room area to eat in. Tables and booths. plenty if seating. Service here was horrible. I got a delivery order today (9/13) from Franks pizza for dinner through the slice app. I ordered around 7:30pm, wrote specific instructions on the app to call me when they arrive so they know to give the pizza to me. It's almost 8:30pm, almost an hour but I understand that it takes time to make the food so I don't think much of it. I didn't get any phone call but they rang the doorbell and my friend didn't know whether it was them or someone else because the app said it wasn't out for delivery yet. She opens the door and turns out it was the pizza and they forgot my 2 liter coke I ordered. I ran out of the apartment to look for them and to give them their cash tip but by the time I went outside they drove off. I was telling customer service I didn't receive the soda that I ordered almost an hour ago and they contacted the place to redeliver the soda to my place. Cool. Takes almost 30 minutes to deliver a 2 liter coke when at this point, it's 9pm, we're done with our food and the soda isnt necessary anymore and a refund is more suitable. The delivery driver finally comes and he hands me a soda and receipt and says that he expects a tip. First off, it's fucking rude to demand your customers a tip when you didn't even deliver my order correctly, didn't listen to delivery instructions I wrote down, and even took 30+ minutes to deliver some soda. After being obligated to give a tip, he decides to ask me how much I pay for rent. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME??? I've never had such a horrible experience with getting food delivered to me, I just wanted to cry. I suggest you do any research before picking a place to order delivery. read more

So disappointed in this pizza place. Was the go to in town so many years the best pizza but lately we've been getting a lot of inconsistency in quality. Today our pizza was underdone, exceedingly thin and so flimsy the toppings all ran off. The center of the pizza is mush and thinner than the cardboard it's packed in. Even after letting it settle. We want to Franks to celebrate my moms birthday and I was excited to try a new pizzeria! The staff was very friendly and attentive and the restaurant offered a great atmosphere. My mom kept saying that she was going to get 4 cheese pizza. I thought she meant 4 cheese pizzas but it was actually a 4 cheese pizza. I thought the cheese pizza was delicious although some people thicket there was too much ricotta. The antipasto was also very good. I was disapproved that I didn't get to try their regular cheese pizza and ordered a margarita pizza. If you are reading this and between a margarita or regular pie, go with the regular pie.... Somebody was also celebrating their birthday in the back room. We had to walk through their party to use the bathroom. Most times when I visit Franks, I get a to go order of a slice of meat lovers pizza and a slice of margarita pizza as well. Everything is usually a 9/10, and the service is always very polite and friendly. For the most recent visit, I decided to dine in and had the Spaghetti and Meat Sauce lunch special, which was a reasonable price, considering the current economy. My only suggestion would be to add a soup or salad for a few dollars more, but I'm no economist. This had to be some of the best spaghetti and meat sauce I've had outside of home made. The sauce was flavorful and the pasta was al dente. I also ordered a slice of margarita pizza to go, and that would be my only gripe. The slice was cheesy, the sauce flavorful, but ultimately way too floppy. Despite this, I'll rate the experience as a 8/10, and will continue to recommend Franks to anyone looking for a solid mid range pizza/Italian restaurant. read more

My wife calls me and says, "at Franks do you want anything" I said a pepperoni roll. Whoever served her on a to go order told her the roll just came out of the oven. So out of sheer laziness and or stupidity, he didn't bother putting it in the oven with the slices. When she got home (3mins away) their slices were hot and my pepperoni roll was a solid chuck of mozzarella. Had to heat my oven and bake it myself. 20 minutes later, they were done eating and I was just starting. Angelo, check your employees if you care. Fraudulent pricing and add on charges. Watch your wallet and check your receipts with this place. The food is actually pretty good but they are scammers. !!!! Franks website advertises 10% off if you place your order online. Well thats a scam. After placing my online order, the final price appeared higher than anticipated. I checked my receipt and saw that there was no 10% discount. There was a 5% discount . Ok that s fine, but the total still seemed too hight. After further review or my receipt Frank's conveniently adds a 20% tip for pick up orders. Im not dinning in. Not sure when tipping for everything became a thing but they certainly should not be automatically adding it to online orders automatically. I confronted whoever was in charge when picking up my order, and got the run around. He did admit that the 10% off is actually more like 5%. Apparently these days people just blindly pay whatever they are charged and due to this ,restaurant's like Franks make a killing on already high priced take out food. This is a nice family restaurant with plenty of seating. I saw a family enjoying a Mickey Mouse birthday party with about four tables put together at lunchtime. I found a loaded vegetable slice with no cheese that makes it vegan for me! It hit the spot and as I was heading to the back to freshen up some of the plates looked good;, I saw a Primavera. We have been to Franks multiple times with a large group as a family dinner. When there, you feel like you are at someone's home having a nice Italian dinner. They set up a large table in the back room, which is nice and spacious so you have room to move around. The place is BYOB, which is always a plus. We go so often that we know some of the waiters and waitresses, they are so friendly and attentive. For appetizers, I really enjoy the calamari salad that comes with peppers and arugula. They give you bread and a salad with your entree. The food is good, nothing fancy, but the prices are very reasonable. Additionally, they allow you to bring in dessert for special occasions. read more

Garlic knots burned to hell, wings were so overcooked they were rubbery and forgotten items in the order. Half of it went in the trash and the other half didn't show up lol. Also "garlic bread" is just a whole loaf of bread with some garlic seasoning on it it's not really garlic bread. That was good though! read more

Don't bother. It had no taste, barely had any sauce or cheese. Crust tastes like cardboard. Paid hard earned money for a GF pie that was not edible. Why does GF have to be made with no flavor. I read some old reviews on Frank's after I had experienced eating there a while back and frankly that's what led me to write this review. Everyone has an opinion, so be it, but mine is in support of this establishment as are so many others. Every other Thursday or so , a group of my friends frequent Frank's and are treated royally. Discovered Frank's on our way to the Poconos. Stopped for a quick lunch and it was terrific. Our little guy enjoyed the arancini (biggest risotto balls we've seen to date!), chicken tenders and fries and we each had a wrap- Turkey club and buffalo chicken- so good!!!Service was very friendly, lots of space and booths and clean restrooms. That being said, I am VERY lenient w mishaps. issue lies in that EVERY TIME we order at Frank's past 5pm, there's a major mishap. Every time, and that's IF I get the order delivered at all. Stopped here on the way to PA for a basketball tournament. It's in a strip mall, but very spacious inside, comfortable and airy. One waitress for the entire place in the afternoon makes for a longer than expected stop. There was also a very busy counter service and the girl working there was on the hop. Working super hard and keeping the line moving. As there was only one waitress, we had plenty of time (about 10-15 minutes) to figure out what we wanted, but there were some confusing options. The menu listed the pizza crust choices as small and large sized square, pan or Sicilian crusts. I asked what the difference was between the pan and the Sicilian (I was assuming thickness) and was told they only make square and Sicilian- they don't have pan (despite what the menu says). OK. I then asked if we were ordering a Sicilian, which was definitely my preference, would a small be enough. I was told there's only one size and it has nine slices... which was too big (despite what the menu says). OK again. So then I asked if a large or a small would make sense for us and she just stared at me... so we ordered a large, square, half pepperoni. And when it came, it was...round... Of course. Bizzareness aside, the pizza was OK. Typical. Average. Pedestrian. The crust was OK, and fresh. A little over cooked in places. The sauce was fresh, with a fresh basil aftertaste. New York style, thin crust. Greasy. Very average, but also large... at least that was as on the menu. The people at the table ordered pasta and it looked and smelled great, with very large serving sizes. They also left a $2 tip for their order. The waitress we had was the absolute rudest waitress I've ever met. She took 20 minutes to get us our menus, but it was me and my friend alone in the restaurant. No one else was there, it's not like she was busy... we saw her talking to the co workers the whole time. We had to call her over, and when she finally showed up to the table she threw the menus down and disappeared for another long period of time. When the food came out, it was bland and cold, and I ordered 2 plain slices, while my friend ordered a sad excuse for a lasagna. Please know that I'm only giving one star because I can't give less. They burnt our pizza! They offered put in two more slices for my wife, but they didn't have any more of what I ordered. I said we were in a hurry. If we weren't in a hurry and starving I would have demanded my money back and gone next door for sushi. They told me they were making a fresh pie of what I ordered; and I told them again I don't have time, just give me the burnt ones. At least my wife didn't have to eat burnt pizza. As I was finishing my burnt slices the owner comes over with two new ones and asked if I wanted them. I said no. Why would he add insult to injury and offer a man who's full of burnt pizza fresh pizza? In the waiter's defense, he was serving an impossible amount of customers. I blame the management and kitchen for this review. 10 minutes before being acknowledged. Salad was tiny, plus two tiny pieces of bread. Coke in a bottle was so warm it melted the ice without getting cold, taken from the "fridge" (probably not plugged in). Wings took forever and were so dry I think the chickens they came from lived during the Pleistocene Epoch. Two pizza slices that were to be served 'right away' have not been served though it has been 20 minutes since they were ordered. Caesar chicken wrap was lettuce and same dry chicken, nary a hint of Caesar. Was asked again if I wanted the slices and said yes. That was 5 minutes ago. Friend's chicken parm -his words- pasta was good, sauce was good, chicken is terrible. Ate half my wrap, slices finally came. They were very good. Frank - get fresh chicken and cough up the extra $2 an hour for more wait staff instead of having one person serve a whole dining room. There is a help wanted sign in the window. The food did come out hot, so the kitchen is probably understaffed as well. I am taking the second half of my wrap to have the chicken carbon dated. read more

Franks pizza is the best in town. The crust has great flavor and texture and love the pizza varieties from there. I live 3 minutes away and sometimes I'm to lazy and just order delivery which is convenient as well. I'm really picky with pizza and tried another place in town and didn't like their curse or sauce at all. Frank's is where it's at. By the way if you want some pasta order the Shrimp Fettuccini Alfredo! Generous amount of Jumbo shrimp in the dish. The staff is great and always smiling. In the land of a thousand pizza shops, it can be hard to find one you love. Franks is it for me. It's food in North Jersey Italian style. Mostly inexpensive except the seafood dishes. Choose to eat in because then you get the bread which is served with a roasted garlic bulb in olive oil. The bread is served fresh and hot. The italian sub is my favorite here. At $7 it is basically two orders in one. Perhaps for locals these are called two "halves". But I eat one and take the other home. Make sure to ask for extra oil and vinegar as a proper North Jersey italian sub should be sour and smooth. There are also a ton of pasta dishes and of course pizza varieties. Again the $9 personal pizza is two meals, unless you want to down the whole thing and crash happily. Who am I to judge? read more

Im gonna give this place another shot because I believe it has potential and the amount of crazy specialty pies they have is insane which is a big plus for me. Im gonna do it right though and order a fresh pizza for pickup instead of buying a slice and having them heat it up. The slice just got way to crispy when they heated it up which means their oven is dirty or it was already a well done pizza. I got a slice with vodka sauce and fresh mozzarella which was decent but the bottom of the pizza was way to crispy and flaky. I must say though the crust was good because it wasnt too thick for how crispy it was. The vodka sauce was alright ive had better and the mozzarella was pretty good. Place is nicely set up with plenty of tables and conveniently located next to the dmv which makes for a quick slice after being miserable for hours.
