We ate here today after meeting with the folks at the Legacy Castle about our son's wedding. We found this delightful restaurant right here on Yelp after I googled "Best Italian restaurants near the Legacy Castle." I made reservations, which we didn't actually need, but I like to play it safe when going to a new place. The service was friendly and the food was delicious. I got the chicken piccata with a half Caesar salad and both were marvelous. My husband got the Rotini with Sunday Sauce (although in our house we call it Sunday Gravy, LOL) and it was yummy. Our son's fiancee got pasta amatriciana and said it was ALMOST as good as what she'd eaten in Rome, and our son got the sausage pizza fra diavolo and LOVED the thin crispy crust. I went here a couple of times and don't really like any of their food items on the menu. I only came here for the occasional event, but I would never order food here if given the choice. The pizza is stale. The service is great though and the waiters are really nice and understanding. We celebrated my granddaughter's second birthday here today, and from the moment we walked through the door, the entire experience was exceptional. We reserved the party room for about twenty family members and friends, and the staff made us feel like VIPs from start to finish. The head server was absolutely on top of everything, and the rest of the team followed with the same outstanding level of customer service. Every detail was handled professionally, warmly, and with genuine care. Once the food started coming out, we knew we had made the perfect choice. Everything was delicious, fresh, and there was more than enough for everyone. From the pizza to the rest of the menu, every dish was a hit with our group. Owner Steve personally checked in throughout the party to make sure everything was going smoothly and that everyone was happy, which really showed how much pride they take in their restaurant and customers. This was truly a wonderful experience and a perfect place to celebrate such a special occasion. Stopped in today and tried their chicken parm on a garlic knot. I opted for the sliders and they were nice enough to 2 with marinara and 2 with vodka sauce. I tried the vodka sauce one first and wow! I'm not sure I can eat chicken parm sandwich on regular bread again. I'm not even a garlic knot fan but the flavors and the soft garlic know were perfect. The marinara kne was also very good but the vodka sauce outshined it for sure. Next time I'm going to ask if they can do it Brooklyn style and add some pepperoni. Came here with some friends after seeing a reel on Instagram. Objective was to try their garlic knot sandwich (spoiler- get it), although we also really enjoyed the rest of the food. This seems to be a family friendly spots- lots of people with kids inside. We chose to sit outside, which was nice and didn't see a knock on service- they were still pretty attentive. Garlic know sandwich: giant garlic knot cut in half with chicken parm and vodka sauce. Get this. It's ridiculously good. Rigatoni with Ricotta: I chose to substitute the sauce with vodka sauce and am so happy I did- their vodka sauce is addicting. Pasta was perfectly cooked. Stuffed shells: my friend got this and also subbed for vodka sauce. Sooo cheesy and delicious. Cannoli: pretty big and delicious. We shared it among the 3 of us. Perfect sweet touch to end the meal! I wouldnt feed the food to my dog. The chicken parm tasted like a grocery store Perdue cutlet with ragu and packed mozzarella. The pork chop had no seasoning. The salad was a small portion, but hey, you cant mess up iceberg lettuce on a plate. The prices were insane - and although im fine paying for quality and quantity, this was not worth it. The check also came without being itemized so I have no item what I paid for. The waiter, who was very polite and attentive, merely handed us a bill with a bottom line. We're no strangers, to Positano. Although we've visited many eateries over the years, we still love this little place. Food: Very nice selection, staying clearly within the "make fewer things but do it right" dictum. We found almost all items to be a but pricier than other, similar eateries, especially the appetizers. The clams oreganata was delicious, made with the whole clam, not canned, minced. The eggplant rollatini was excellent, sitting in a fresh tasting sauce and without the thick blanket of cheese found in other places. I've been coming here with my family forever and it's always been so good. It's a cute little Italian restaurant in a strip mall with really amazing food. I always get the penne arribiata. What's nice about the pasta is that they have full orders and half size orders for when you aren't feeling as hungry. They also have the best salad dressing ever, it's so so good. Stopped into positano for a quick lunch before an appointment in the area. Was planning on just a slice but the server invited us to sit so we did. Ordered a bar pie and an appetizer. When pie came owner came over and said it stuck to pan. Was totally fine but a few slices were a little mangled. He served us that one so we didn't have to wait but cooked us up a second pie to take home for free. Very cool move. Service was great and food was outstanding. Went for the viral garlic knot sandwich and it did not disappoint. I can't comment on the rest of the food they have to offer but based off of the taste and quality of ingredients used in the garlic knot sandwich I can just tell this place is something special. I ordered the chicken Parmesan garlic knot sandwich with vodka sauce instead of tomato sauce and it was amazing. The vodka sauce had so much flavor, the chicken cutlets were sliced and pounded to a perfect thinness, the garlic knot had a good amount of flavor but not overpowering and its texture was perfect, not too hard where it hurts the roof of your mouth but not too soft where it's soggy and soaks up all of the sauce. Went on lunch hour during the week so the place was pretty crowded which is a great thing for them but being it was a nice day out I decided to just sit outside to eat. From what I observed the inside was very nice and the staff were all super friendly. My calculations confirm that my family of five has had at least 1,000 meals (literally "under our belt") from this family establishment! WARNING! Will not go again - Terrible place and possibly racist to Asians. My friend and I arrived at the front door for outdoor seating. In general, there's a sign that says to wait to either go in or be seated. After 10 minutes of waiting and 1 other group ignoring us in line and trying to pass us, I had to voice out that we were first and waiting to be seated. There was the delivery driver just sitting there with no response to us. Yet, once the other group came up, the driver asks to help them instantly. Then, another employee came out and does not look at us twice until I voiced out we were waiting to be seated after the above group were asked first (they came after us and cut us in waiting) After that trouble, we waited about 15 minutes before our order was finally taken. While we waited for our food, I was watching every group that came up to the front door instantaneously be serviced and asked about seating and such. I ordered the chicken parm sandwich and my friend ordered the Kelly's balsamic pasta. Both our feedback was the food was not even decent. I would pass on both these choices. The owners and staff seemed to have personal relationships with a lot of the people dining in which implied to me that the restaurant had a pretty large loyal fan base. The restaurant is warm and intimate and decorated with several pictures of Positano. Meals are served with delicious garlic knots. Our table ordered a pasta with vodka sauce, veggie pizza, and margherita pizza. (we're Vegetarians). Then I waited over an hour for my meal. Which was a personal pizza. It wasn't bad, but definitely not worth the wait.
