Warm atmosphere, welcoming hostess to a good start. Service was quick and friendly! Our group shared family style for the meal. Fried calamari tender with just the right amount of batters. Mussels with white creamy buttery garlic sauces was great for dipping. Fried zucchini done just right and in generous portions. For entrees we shared two order of each, veal marsala and linguini white clams. Veal was tender and seasoned just right. Linguini was al dente, clams was on the small size. Other then that, the dinner was close to perfection. Bonuses, warm bread, freshly made garlic bread on the house. Plus BYOB. Will be back!

Holiday menu, better than brunch

I can't believe I missed reviewing this place, we have been coming here for years. It's BYOB (my preference). The waitstaff are always efficient and friendly but never chatty. The food selection is great and everything on the menu is great. Even on holidays when the menu is shortened it's still a great meal never a hiccup. It's a good place for dates, business or family. Not too noisy. If you want something you don't see on the menu the chef is very accommodating. I recommend if your in the area, don't forget your vino.

Shrimp scampi over linguine. Delicious and fresh!

We celebrated my mom's birthday here last night and our meal was fantastic! Food: For appetizers, we had spedini, Caesar salad, and garlic shrimp. For dinner, we had polenta, shrimp scampi over linguine, and sole francese. Everything was delicious and flavorful. Service: Our waiter promptly gave us menus, poured our wine (and provided an ice bucket) and explained specials. All of the wait staff were attentive, kind, and went above and beyond. Atmosphere: Aldo's has a beautiful dining room that can host a special occasion or weeknight dinner. The lighting wasn't bright but not too dim.

Misto di crostaci

So ordered this for $32. Really? No pasta ( apparently it's extra). I think this is a terrible value for the money. Stay home and make your own.

Simple, quiet restaurant where everyone knows the regulars and the food is good. Fair pricing, generous servings, good food.

Appetizers: arancini, calamari, and eggplant parm. All were exceptionally good. Next time, I plan on having the arancini and eggplant as my main meal. My better half had the pappardelle special, which I happily finished after she couldn't eat any more. Prima had the monkfish, which she's still talking about a week later. I had the cacio e pepe--perfectly balanced in flavor. For dessert, we shared hazelnut gelato, just as good as any we've had in Europe. BYOB, plenty of parking, and the ambiance was excellent. We'll be back to try the rest of the menu after the deep freeze. Looking forward to having a bike nights this coming spring/summer.

With more Italian restaurants per square mile in Jersey than any other type of cuisine, we decided…read moreon Amore Ristorante, located off of Rifle Camp Road in Woodland Park, for Saturday night dinner. The reservation was easily made via Yelp. We have discovered this establishment by chance every time en route to one of the entrances on Garrett Mountain. Unfortunately, the exterior doesn't draw one in. However, upon arrival as first-timers, my partner, our friends, and I were greeted by the host and got a table in the corner at this cozy, warm, and welcoming interior with simple decor of pictures of Italy and music playing throughout the two dining areas. The menu offered Southern Italian cuisine and was limited, but we found meals we liked. Miguel was our server and made us feel so welcome; he read out the specials. As an appetizer, we decided on the Polpette Amore (meatballs) and Charcuterie Board. For our main meal, we opted for Papardelle Bolognese, Linguine Alle Vongole, and Lasagna. Complimentary bread started our meal. The pasta was homemade, but the meat sauce was bland. The Linguine Alle Vongole was tasty and well seasoned. The portions were healthy, and the price was comparable to the area. The staff was super attentive and always taking good care of us.

Was not busy and service was very good. Was seated right away. Eggplant parm appetizer was some of the best I have had. Entrees were also delicious, my wife got the Skirt Steak special and I got the Snapper risotto special. Also they have Affogato for desert! Highly recommend and we mist definitely be back. Nice ambience and there are only like 20 tables so the ambience is upscale but comfortable.

Both of my friends ordered the cream of mushroom soup and said it was the best they had ever tasted--a definite highlight of the meal. Bread was provided at the table, although it would have been even better served warm. We decided to skip the entrees, the starters were quite filling. For dessert, the three of us shared a slice of cheesecake, which was just the right size for sharing, although it was a little on the dry side. The only real downside was the smell of whatever was used to clean the tables. It was quite unpleasant and off-putting, which took away from the otherwise enjoyable atmosphere. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. The atmosphere was great and the service was excellent. With a few small improvements, Bucco could make an already pleasant dining experience even better!
