Grilled chicken bowl with saffron rice, romaine, cucumber, corn, olives, and tzatziki
Grace Nicole C.

Always come here whenever I'm craving something that feels refreshing and will still give me the protein I need for dinner! The line is usually long but it goes fast and the service is always good. The place has plenty of seating inside and outside! A great option when you're in somewhat of a rush but don't want a greasy fast food option

Smother me in crazy feta and garlic sauce please! I stopped by for a quick dinner and CAVA never disappoints. I was in and out in under 5 minutes. My bowl was very flavorful but I wish I got more pita. My go to order is half arugula with the basmati saffron rice, pickled onions, crazy feta, Greek salad, and roasted red pepper hummus. Always hits the spot!

I have ordered CAVA on several occasions but this was my first time going in. The service was not good at all sadly and the appearance wasn't hygienic. Got the black lentil bowl with braised lamb and chicken with several toppings and my daughter got a brown rice bowl with chicken , veggies and garlic dill sauce. After 2 bites I started feeling sick. Threw out the meal and ended up with food poisoning. No more CAVA for me.

Custom Greens + Grains Bowl (~$15) + Small Cucumber Mint Lime Drink

Ordered: Custom Greens + Grains Bowl (~$15): SplendidGreens, Saffron Basmati Rice, Tzatziki, Traditional Hummus, Roasted Eggplant Dip, 1/2 Braised Lamb (+$3), 1/2 Grilled Chicken, Fire Roasted Corn, Pickled Onions, Tomato + Cucumber, Cabbage Slaw, Pita Crisps, Lentil Tabbouleh, Hot Harissa Vinaigrette, Yogurt Dill, and 1 Falafel to try Small Cucumber Mint Lime drink Aya's take: Second time at CAVA and I'm a big fan! I love the Mediterranean flavors and the endless ways you can customize a bowl. It's unbelievably filling and doesn't make you feel gross after since it's fairly healthy. I loved the grilled chicken and braised lamb. Both were super juicy, nicely seasoned, and went well with the rest of the bowl. The falafel is far from authentic and definitely not one I would get as my full protein choice - glad I got to try it with this bowl. Solid topping selection with a lot of vibrant colors. Super content with this meal and glad there's a few locations in NJ now!

Joining the Cava train finally after hearing it so many times as the Mediterranean Chipotle. Anyone who knows me knows that I love these types of concepts. Blaze, Chiptole, Poke, you name it. Being able to choose and create my own personal tasty dish is just amazing. Although a bit more pricey compared to Chipotle (although getting a bit closer sadly...), they make up for it by having lots of fresh and flavorful ingredients. Personal standouts for me: (essentially their fried pita chips that when soaked just a little was super nice with everything elsle, the chicken, the tahini sauce), def will want to try all the sauces next time!

Free side of pita bread

I tried Cava for the first time after hearing about it for a while. I normally eat bowls with protein at Chipotle or Q'doba, but I decided to go full vegan with my custom bowl. I also got a free side of pita bread & purchased pita chips to try as well. I was pleasantly surprised with how flavorful and filling the grain bowl was. The brown rice was really soft and cooked well. I did remove a star because the dip/ spread I selected for the bowl was missing. The pita chips tasted great and evenly seasoned. They were crispy on the outside & soft on the inside and not too oily. I can't comment on the customer service or the ambiance of this Cava because this meal was delivered to me. Overall, I do think this establishment is worth a try. I would definitely make a habit of eating here in the future.

Harissa Chicken/avocado bowl

First time at Cava and it was as delicious and fresh as my friends have told me! Only reason I knocked them a star is because in this location or particular time I came, all the servers were too busy having conversations and eating their lunch behind the counter to take my order. I waited a good 10 minutes and the line behind me got significantly longer by 3 more people by the time they finally took my order. That being said, the staff was friendly once they got to me and since it was my first time there, they were helpful at making recommendations for my order. My Harissa chicken/avocado without the spice was perfect! I also tried some of their hummus and their garlic dressing on the side and some Pita. The Pita was very soft and yummy. I gotta say, my bowl was packed with deliciousness in every bite! I will for sure be back, and maybe bump them up a star if their service improves!

Best Cava I go to hands down. An employee named Shameek always takes his time with my order and greets me with a smile. I wanna give him a big shout out! I appreciate coming for just his service. The food and ambiance is always great but the service tops it all off.

From the moment you walk in, you're wrapped in warmth--by the people, the culture, and the unmistakable love poured into every single dish. The food? Spectacular doesn't even begin to cover it. Every visit, I either try something new or let them choose for me (which I highly recommend), and without fail, I'm blown away. Not once--not ever--have I been disappointed. Every bite feels thoughtful, soulful, and deeply rooted in tradition. The flavors are rich, comforting, vibrant, and unforgettable. You can taste the care, the history, and the pride behind the food. And the people? Truly some of the warmest, kindest souls you'll meet--welcoming you like family, not customers. I can honestly say I'm being slowly--but very happily--converted. The beautiful food, the incredible hospitality, the culture, the entire experience... it's something special. The Olive Bistro isn't just a meal, it's an experience, and one I crave again and again. The new owners have completely reimagined the space into a moderately upscale, but still family-friendly, Mediterranean oasis with a contemporary aesthetic that's also a huge culinary step up from its predecessor. The staff was friendly and super attentive without ever being overbearing and went the extra mile to ensure we had a great meal and a great experience. My dining companion and I started with the special Trio Dip ($20), a fantastic, delicious starter with shareable portions of traditional hummus, a unique avocado hummus, and perfectly smoky baba ghanoush with crunchy walnuts alongside with a basket of warmly toasted pita bread. For our entree, we decided to share the Mandaloun Mix Grill ($40) and split the three kebabs -- filet mignon shish, ground beef kofta, and grilled chicken. This platter is a masterclass in grilling with three juicy and flavorful kebabs. Mandaloun also pays attention to small details that make the dining experience so memorable. We were both huge fans of the dipping dish with a concoction of olive oil, za'atar seasoning, and sesame seeds served with the pita and the toum -- an emulsion of garlic, oil, lemon juice, and salt which creates a thick, mayonnaise-like condiment that is 100% vegan and dairy-free -- served alongside our entree that's a perfect zesty pairing for the grilled chicken. One of the staff noticed how much I enjoyed both and brought over a small 'to go' container of each for us to take home. There was also a brief "if you know, you know" moment during dinner that I am sure was entirely unintentional. Our Mandaloun Mix Grill entree came with a tasty green salad topped with crispy pita strips, which felt like a very sophisticated homage to the Friendly's Crispy Chicken Salad entree that was topped with tortilla strips. PRO TIP #1: Bring a bottle of wine or beer from home to enjoy with your meal. Mandaloun is a BYOB establishment and does not serve alcohol. PRO TIP #2: Bring cash. Mandaloun has added a small surcharge for using credit cards to pay for your meal.

Good Food, But Service So Bad We Were Ignored Repeatedly!…read more Our party of six was ignored over and over by multiple staff members, even after repeatedly asking for basic water and glasses. This was not understaffing--there were plenty of employees walking by, simply choosing not to serve us. There was loud music when we entered, but it shortly was turned down/ off. Our server was quick to greet us and we placed our order. They give you bread and oil and we ordered the Mediterranean tour which contained hummus, eggplant and muhammara, which is made of red peppers. The place is BYOB, but the way. My friend got the chicken kebab and I got the Adana kebab, which is a mixture of lamb and beef. Our food was delicious and came out hot and the presentation was also beautiful! Throughout the night, the music would get super loud and I was unable to chat with my girlfriend right across the table from me. This happened various times through out the night, which was odd, but I was just happy it was not consistent. Otherwise, socializing would have been impossible. Our server also disappeared after a while, so I had to go up to the hostess to ask for our check when we were ready to go. Aside from that and the loud music, we enjoyed our dinner, overall!

It wasnt a very large place but had enough space to accommodate maybe 10-15 people? There is also outside seating. I bet its nice during a nice sunny weather. As you can see in the photos submitted by many Yelpers, the food looks very good! One of the things that caught my attention was actually how they prepare their plates and how nicely the meats were cooked. When i tasted my orders, they did not disappoint one bit! Chicken and beef were very flavorful and the smell that wafted inside the car as i was bringing them home was sooo darn good it was almost torture. The rice that came with the beef and chicken gyro was flavorful for some reason and the mix of "noodle strings?" was surprisingly very good. Pita bread was nice and soft although became a bit soggy after since it was placed below the meat. Perhaps it was also to catch the oil? Hmm.
