I stopped at this spot to get lunch. I ordered my food online and I got the falafel pita and it came to a little over $10. When I arrived I parked in the plaza parking lot. I walked in and the nice server asked my name and the food wasn't ready. I waited about another 7 minutes or so. When it was ready I grabbed my food and left. When I got home I ate and it was pretty tasty. The pita was very soft and the falafel wasn't dry. I also enjoyed the red hummus they added. No one answers the phone ever!!!!! Not sure why they even have a phone number. If they forget something or something is wrong the only way to let them know is to DRIVE BACK TO THEM. && they will not credit you. They are also Very rude to customers and ignore them. I literally stood there for 10' minutes with 5 people working a foot away from where I was waiting for someone to acknowledge me (no exaggeration) and if I didn't SCREAM to get someone attention I would still be standing there. They have. Pick up section BUT never put my order up there for me to pick up n go it's always behind the counter. Oh and if you have a BIG order (like 15 or more salads/bowls) make sure you BRING a bag because they will just throw your stuff in. The service members rush the meals and miss items. Also they don't let you finish your sentence. I got asked what sauce(s) I wanted. Before I could finish saying the sauces the lady yanked out the sauce and drenched my bowl with both sauces. You get to add 3 delicious dips of your liking, plus as many additional toppings as you want. There's also a dressing drizzle to finish it off (try the sriracha yogurt for an extra kick!) so there's countless combinations of deliciousness. They even give you free pita with your salad/bowl. Everything was up to the quality I had in the Del Mar location, with the exception of the roasted veggies. They were just a bit to crisp for my liking, they didn't seem roasted all the way. To make it even easier to get my fix, they have mobile ordering. The food here is truly great. Fresh, local ingredients and hand crafted into your choice of a bowl, pita or mini-pita right in front of you. My personal favorite combination is pita with chicken, tomato/onion, crazy feta, harissa and tzatziki sauce. Usually get a small pita or pita chips on the side. Crazy feta is the star - it's a feta spread spiked with jalapenos for some spice. But honestly I would probably put all the spreads on my pita if I could. It would have been helpful if the employees were trained on the menu specifics etc. However, it's pretty easy to figure out on your own after a few minutes. Basically the chipotle take on healthy Mediterranean food. Food: You have your base which could be greens or grains. Than you have your protein, I tried the lamb, chicken and falafel. I enjoy the chicken the best. They also have decent amount of selection of toppings and pretty tasty sauces. Ambience: typical chain feel and clean since it's new. They also had out door eating tables which is nice however no chairs. I assume it's because it's new and they intend to get chairs at some point. Overall I did think my meal was pretty tasty and love how you have to ability to customize. I look forward to returning and recommend checking it out. read more
