On Mother's Day, 2026, I went with my wife and adult daughter. This was our first time here, and it will certainly not be our last. The server, whose name I sadly don't remember, was excellent. She was attentive, pleasant, and knew exactly what she was doing. The service by other staff was also first-rate. The place is very pretty and very comfortable, with music at a tolerable level. I would have preferred listening to ethnic music rather than generic current pop music, but that's me. My gripe, not only here, is if I'm in an Italian restaurant for dinner, why play Springsteen? My suggestion to any restaurant that serves ethnic food is to play ethnic music. Keep the music soft so people don't hear it, yet they hear it. This rant is from the musician part of me. So, this is what we ate; Appetizers: Stuffed Grape Leaves...outstanding Halloumi Cheese...outstanding Entrées: I'll just write what we had. We all loved what we ordered. Seriously, the entrées we had were killer! I read a review, I don't remember where, and the person wrote that the portions were too small for what they charge. I simply laughed. That is absolutely not true. My wife, my daughter, and I got another dinner out of what each of us could not finish. Whether the prices are fair or not, well, everyone has to make that decision. For my middle-class family ( whatever that means today), the prices seemed very fair. Let's move on, and I'll be brief...the Entrées: Adana Kebab...my daughter loved it, and she is a food snob. She said that she would definitely go back. Sac Kavurma (beef)... my wife had this and loved it. She is also looking forward to going back. Old Fashioned Oven Brick Sauté...I had this. OMG! This is a very interesting preparation. The spices are so darn good. Be certain to ask the server to show you how to slice open the "Oven Brick". Yes, yes, yes, I'll be going back. Having had Turkish food and Mediterranean food many times, I know that bread is often a highlight and a real treat. The bread was just okay here. I am referring to the bread that's presented to you when you sit down at your table. I'm not referring to specialty Flat Breads that you might order off the menu. We didn't order any of those. Dessert: We ended up ordering the Pistachio Cake, but we took it home since all three of us were stuffed and could not eat anything else at that time. This is a must visit!!!!! Beyond amazing! I went with 3 people who are pretty picky and don't explore too much out of their food comfort zone... let's just say they loved it. Came here with a girlfriend of mine for a girls date night. First thing I noticed when I entered was the beautiful interior design. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and spacious. There was loud music when we entered, but it shortly was turned down/ off. Our server was quick to greet us and we placed our order. They give you bread and oil and we ordered the Mediterranean tour which contained hummus, eggplant and muhammara, which is made of red peppers. The place is BYOB, but the way. My friend got the chicken kebab and I got the Adana kebab, which is a mixture of lamb and beef. Our food was delicious and came out hot and the presentation was also beautiful! Throughout the night, the music would get super loud and I was unable to chat with my girlfriend right across the table from me. This happened various times through out the night, which was odd, but I was just happy it was not consistent. Otherwise, socializing would have been impossible. Our server also disappeared after a while, so I had to go up to the hostess to ask for our check when we were ready to go. This restaurant was hard to rate because the food was so good but the service was so bad. They recently opened at Willowbrook mall so I'm hopeful that they have changed. We ordered the Turkish breakfast which comes with muhammara, baba ganoush, tomatoes and cucumbers, fries, waffles, cheese phyllo roll (this didn't come), jams, honey with butter, cheese and olives, eggs, and tea. We also added menemen, which is an egg dish with tomato, peppers, and spices. Everything was really good, the only complaint is the waffles may have been overcooked and of course we didn't get one dish. They even gave us unlimited warm bread and butter. Saw a video on tiktok and figured we'd try it for a friends birthday. The ambiance has a modern fun feel. Perfect spot for a girls night out. The house made pita was delicious and brought to the table warm. Our server was very helpful with guiding us on what to order based on our taste. We started with the hummus dip trio, fig and feta flatbread, and zucchini pancakes. All were very good and came out in a normal amount of time. For our entree's mostly everyone got kebabs.. & each bite was better than the next. They also have a great selection for dessert but since we came mid week some options were unavailable. I've visited Blue Fig Garden a few times now and it never disappoints. The menu has a fantastic variety of options, including gluten-free. On my first visit, I was slightly overwhelmed by how many options I had to choose from, a welcome change. The service has been excellent each time, especially from Nuri. As for the food, everything tastes fresh and comes out hot, exactly what you want when dining out. This is also a BYOB location, and they provide a bucket of ice for the table if needed. I highly recommend the cheesy falafel; it gives a different spin on a classic dish. The prices are reasonable and what you would expect at most Mediterranean restaurants. I'll start by saying the food was delicious. We ordered lahmacun as an appetizer and our meals were the whole bronzino and Adana kebab. All of it was super tasty However, the service was really bad and extremely slow. The waiter could've have been any less attentive. We sat in their outside seating area and it was not packed at all. We could see him in the bar area right inside chilling on his phone. After we eventually got our food, we literally ate all of it before he even came out to check on us. When he did he goes "the bronzino is so good. Great choice" stares at my empty, stacked plates and just walks away. It must've been another 1+ hour before we even came back around and we still had to ask for the check even though the restaurant was literally closing and we were obviously done eating. Good food. On the negative side, the server was very nice but left the restaurant without saying anything, about who would take over. Good Food, But Service So Bad We Were Ignored Repeatedly! Our party of six was ignored over and over by multiple staff members, even after repeatedly asking for basic water and glasses. This was not understaffing--there were plenty of employees walking by, simply choosing not to serve us. After chasing down five or six different people, we finally got minimal service, but by then the night was ruined. Disappointed and Let Down I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I feel like this experience needs to be shared so others don't walk in with high hopes and walk out frustrated like I did. I recently visited Blue Fig Garden looking forward to a solid Arabic meal. Unfortunately, it was disappointing from start to finish. The service wasn't great. After placing my order, I waited around 45 minutes for the food to come out--and during that time, no one checked on me, gave updates, or even asked if I needed anything. That kind of wait might be understandable if the food was exceptional, but sadly, it wasn't worth it. I ordered a chicken shawarma and was given beef instead. That kind of mix-up shouldn't happen, especially when it's the main item I came for. Then I ordered a burger, hoping to turn things around, but it came out overcooked--dry, bland, and far from satisfying. The only thing I actually enjoyed were the fries. They were crispy, seasoned well, and fresh--but fries alone aren't enough to justify the visit. Overall, I left disappointed and feeling like I wasted both my time and money. I'm not writing this to bash the restaurant, but to give an honest account. Hopefully they take this feedback seriously and make improvements, because right now, I wouldn't recommend it. Amazing ambiance in and outside(patio) The fresh pita as soon as you sit with olive oil is a nice touch for me anywhere ,always. This place was a total surprise....it is an oasis amidst the messy food court at the Willowbrook. The restaurant is beautiful inside with upscale decor. The food is absolutely fantastic with many gluten free options. Everything is fresh. We had the hummus trio with pita and fresh veggies. Our entrees were salmon and chicken kebob. Yum! The lemon juice with mint is so refreshing. The waiter was not a native English speaker and there were some communication challenges but he was very kind and accommodating. Just went there with my family for dinner. We should have gotten the hint to leave right when we realized we were the only ones there on a Friday evening around 6:30PM. Our waiter was not familiar with the menu when asked questions and kept disregarding the fact my husband is severely allergic to tree nuts. My husband ordered lamb chops, cooked medium. My child ordered the kids cheeseburger. I ordered the beef kebabs, cooked medium. The service was very slow and we had to constantly ask for water refills while patiently waiting for our foods. For being the only customers in the restaurant, it was hard to find a worker. Cheeseburger was okay, not worth $16 from the kids menu. Lamb chops came out medium rare and very bland. Beef kebabs came out well done, about 6 pieces, very dry. They did not even give me a steak knife. The waiter suggested I just eat the well done kebabs while they cook another. I did not as it was burnt. The new portion of beef kebabs came out very rare and only three small pieces. I asked the waiter again if the chef can cook this more and my husband asked if the chef understands how to cook steak at their requested temperatures. The waiter said this is not the first time this happened as if the chef always makes this mistake. The beef kebabs came back medium rare, but ended up just eating it as I was so annoyed and starving. We were off course charged, which I assumed we would pay the whole thing, but they did not even say sorry about anything. You would think they would inform the manager of how upset we were. We didn't argue, just paid. No wonder there is an automatic 20% gratuity added. Food, service, and atmosphere is just one star. Would be zero if I could.
