My mom loved her chicken gyro sandwhich! The potatoes were basic but good. I LOVED the melitzanosalata! I ordered a chicken gyro with no lettuce or tomato and forgot to ask them to add feta. That's just how I like it, I know many people would disagree lol. I wish there was more tzatziki sauce on it. The team did great with following the special instructions. That's always a worry of mine with take out but they listened to everything. I didn't feel too well after eating my food but I did finished the melitzanosalata the next day and felt completely fine! I'd like to try this restaurant again and explore something different!

I decided to get lunch from this restaurant and ordered online. I ordered the shrimp wrap. When I arrived I parked in the plaza lot. I walked into a cute restaurant and was greeted. The food was ready and I left. When I dug in the wrap was just ok. Wish there were more shrimp inside. The flavors were ok. All in all had an ok experience.

You have to try the pastitsio! So delicious! Friendly service over the phone! They made sure I had checked for silverware in my Togo order. Place was clean and organized as well!

Vegan meatballs on bed of organic greens?

I was excited to see some vegan options but I should've known better. I do not recommend the vegan meat balls. And they were not served on a bed of organic greens which is the other reason I ordered this dish. Clearly they don't know what vegan is by giving me a dairy based sauce and sure feels like they need to remove "the organic bed of greens reference from the menu for this dish. Foodies will do better to get falafel (a Middle Eastern veggie meatball of sorts) at one of plenty options in this area, or a Greek salad at the local diner.

Was craving some Greek food for dinner. Ended up finding this on grub hub. Portion size was just right. Food was delicious. Would recommend to others in the area.

First time here today. Had a chicken gyro platter with Zorba fries. Freaking amazing. Hot and fresh & got a lot of food. Had to try the Chocolate cake. Has a hint of orange in it. Amazing... will definitely go again....

My mom and I love this place and have been coming here for years. Great food, great service. And their Tzatziki sauce is my favorite - which says a lot because I'm picky about Tzatziki sauce! Happy this restaurant survived the pandemic.

The best Greek food in Northern New Jersey. Consistently excellent. It never disappoints.

My coworkers and I frequent Zorba's for lunch. The food is always pretty solid. I enjoy their hummus and the chopped salad with grilled chicken never disappoints. The service is very average and in my opinion, the prices are a little high for lunch. I also don't love the atmosphere. Nevertheless, a decent option for lunch in the Wayne area.

Small, casual Greek eatery in the Corrados strip mall. Stopped in for lunch and had the gyro sandwich with fries. Tasty gyro and good, crispy fries. Friendly service and while they forgot to bring the hummus appetizer we ordered, we still enjoyed the food & atmosphere. By the time we finished our sandwiches, we were satisfied and didn't need the appetizer. Worth a visit and the 'student special' for kids includes fries.

Their sandwiches are good but don't order their 6.00 fries. They'll shamelessly serve you old fries that you can barely chew.

Is this place BYOB? I see they close at 9pm on Thursdays, are they pushy where they'll kick out a table at closing? Thanks!

Hello Tammy! Yes we are a BYOB and the kitchen closes at 9 but we stay open for our patrons that are already dining in!

Whether it's a roast turkey with endless sides, spicy meat stew, a seafood extravaganza, or even no-frills Kentucky Fried Chicken, there's no holding back when the season for feasting rolls around. Located on busy Broadway in Elmwood Park, we decided on our Christmas Eve dinner at this family-owned establishment. The reservation was easily made via OpenTable. Upon arrival as first-timers, my partner and I were greeted by the owner at Taverna Mykonos and got a table for two right away in the corner where the tables are close to each other inside their cozy, very dim-lit, and elegant dining room with Christmas music playing throughout. There's a full bar with an extensive selection of Greek wines, with approximately 80% sourced from regions across Greece, as well as other excellent choices from California and Spain. The menu featured both authentic traditional Greek dishes along with many other options. The restaurant bakes all of its bread as well as its desserts. Traditionally, the meat of choice served during a Greek Christmas meal is lamb and pork. For starters, we decided to share Keftedes (Greek-style seasoned meatballs served with tzatziki dipping sauce). For our main meal, we opted for Baby Roasted Lamb with roasted potatoes and Lamb Shank with tomato orzo. Complimentary bread started our meal, and we washed it down with a sparkling spring water product of Greece. Complimentary cookies were given to each table at the end of the meal. The food was fresh, using quality ingredients, tasty, and well-presented. We enjoyed the keftedes very much, as they were moist and complemented well with the tzatziki dipping sauce. The portion was reasonable. However, we were disappointed with the Baby Roasted Lamb, as it was mostly bones with only some pieces of edible meat. Service is professional, friendly, and fast. The cost is comparable to the area. Exchanged a few words with the owner, George, about the old neighborhood in Astoria. Opa!

Besides the fact that you get attentive service, the food is incredible! Fresh ingredients, really traditional dishes/recipes. Everything tastes homemade and I genuinely wonder if someone's (yaya) is doing all the cooking in the back. Also? "Generous portions" (as they say on their website) is exactly right! Best past is all their batter is Gluten Free (yup!). Everything also tastes very light. I didn't get anything fried but have a feeling if you do order fried foods, it won't be bathing in oil. The ambiance, while modest by American standards, I believe is authentically Greek-- unassuming, highlighted with images and elements of Greece, and really, you come with loved ones and just eat and enjoy. I mean, that IS the Greek culture in its truest form, no? Good selection of wines and they also serve a menu of cocktails.

Despite the moderately upscale ambiance and clean, contemporary aesthetic, the emptiness made us wonder: did we miss a memo? Was there a sudden local embargo on Mediterranean food? Luckily, the dining room eventually filled up, saving us from eating our dinner in a complete echo chamber. My dining companion and I started off with the Hummus appetizer ($11) served with a modest side of toasted pita. It was tasty and definitely hit the spot. We both decided to keep things light and ordered salads with a side of grilled salmon. I went with the Marouli salad ($16) -- crisp romaine lettuce, dill, and scallions with a lemon-olive oil dressing -- and my companion chose the Greek Village salad ($19), a shepherd-style salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, Holland peppers, feta cheese, olives, and Greek dressing. Both were fresh, well-prepared, and hit the mark. The salmon was also delicious, which is a good thing, because it came with an $18 upcharge that was not listed on the printed menu. For dessert, we ordered the baklava ($13), three pieces of an already intensely sweet treat that had apparently been subjected to an excessive dusting of powdered sugar. As for the service, our server and the food runners were competent but not overly friendly towards us or other diners. I also noticed that the staff tended to take care of tables out of order in which they were seated.. resulting in diners who arrived after us being served before us. Overall, it's a perfectly fine 3-star experience. I'd gladly go back if someone else was picking the spot, but if I'm the one in charge of dinner plans, I'll probably cast my net elsewhere in the area. PRO TIP #1: Bring a bottle of wine or beer from home or stop at the Wine Shop liquor store located on the opposite corner of the intersection of Main Street and Millburn Avenue for some adult beverages to enjoy with your meal. EVOO & Lemon is a BYOB establishment and does not serve alcohol. PRO TIP #2: EVOO & Lemon does not have a private parking lot, but there is plenty of on-street parking and municipal lots nearby. Use the mPay2Park app for the pay-by-plate meters ($0.50 per hour). Meters operate Monday through Saturday from 8am to 7pm; all street meters are free after 7 pm and all day Sunday. If the street is full, the Essex Street parking deck (24 Lackawanna Place) is a reliable backup.

We came shortly after they opened at 11:30 and there was only one other family dining there the entire time we were there. We had: -Assortment of three spreads - hummus, tzatziki, and skordalia (potato, garlic, olive oil). We originally wanted to get the roasted eggplant but they said they hadn't made it yet. All the spreads were fine - nothing special about it. It comes with some pita bread for dipping. Next, we had some grilled halloumi -Avgolemono Soup - comforting on a cloudy day. Even my toddler enjoyed it and she doesn't usually like meat but ate a few chunks of the chicken -Grilled Halloumi (with fig jam) - this was a little oily and very salty. I did like the fig jam with it but $17.95 for a chunk of cheese is pretty pricey -Gyro Combo Platter (pork, chicken, and lamb gyro served with fries, pita, tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki) - I missed where the menu said it's served with tzatziki because then I probably wouldn't have ordered the assortment of spreads. The pork was chewy, and the chicken was dry, but the lamb was good. They did have a nice flavor though. Again, my daughter who doesn't like meat even ate some of the chicken and the lamb. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back here, especially since there were really only two things we really liked. But if you do visit, I'd recommend just getting the lamb gyro. Tip - BYOB
