    Overcooked lamb

Really disappointed. The portions are great I'll give them that. But the lamb meat came out of a warming bin and was cooked to the point it was dry and almost burnt. Would have been better had they cut it from the spit and just lightly heated it on the flat top. Place appears clean inside and the guys working the counter were polite and nice. The food just needs some serious work.

Pros = Value. Very generous portion sizes for relatively affordable prices. It seems like the pricing structure is based what you would typically find downtown in inner cities as opposed to the inflated prices which are usually found in suburbs. Cons = The quality and preparation are second tier. Not bad. But not at the level of most other restaurants serving similar cuisine are in the area. Albeit, at higher prices. But I don't mind spending a little more for better quality. I ordered the Lamb and rice platter, size extra large for $11.99. It came with a very large portion of cubed lamb served with yogurt sauce over a bed of seasoned jasmine rice and a little bit of salad. The lamb had decent flavor but it was over salted and quite greasy. The rice was acceptable and the salad was just OK. I also ordered the 10 pc. spicy wings at $9.99. The wings are thickly battered and deep fried and way too salty for me to recommend. I will definitely take a pass on them next time, if there is a next time. King Gyro is open until 2AM. So, if you are looking for a late night alternative to Wawa this may be an option. But as they often say... If it's open late it ain't that great.

From the moment you walk in, you're wrapped in warmth--by the people, the culture, and the unmistakable love poured into every single dish. The food? Spectacular doesn't even begin to cover it. Every visit, I either try something new or let them choose for me (which I highly recommend), and without fail, I'm blown away. Not once--not ever--have I been disappointed. Every bite feels thoughtful, soulful, and deeply rooted in tradition. The flavors are rich, comforting, vibrant, and unforgettable. You can taste the care, the history, and the pride behind the food. And the people? Truly some of the warmest, kindest souls you'll meet--welcoming you like family, not customers. I can honestly say I'm being slowly--but very happily--converted. The beautiful food, the incredible hospitality, the culture, the entire experience... it's something special. The Olive Bistro isn't just a meal, it's an experience, and one I crave again and again. For the price and flavor it was so worth it. I got two meals out of mine. I got the gyro platter and it probably was one of the tastiest meals I've had in a long time. I thought the chicken was seasoned and flavorful. But by far, the best part was the white sauce. I would pair it with the mango lassi and it was such a great explosion of flavors - both savory and sweet. I will say they ask whether you're okay with onions and raisins in your platter. I liked them but I know raisins might not be what most people prefer to add to their rice. Service was fast. You can either order at the front table or at your seat. They got the food in a reasonable amount of time. The place looks small from the outside, but when you walk in, there's a back room worth of 30 people worth of seating. It's extremely cozy inside. There's also a parking lot right next to the restaurant and also across the street. The lot right next door is kinda small though, so you might need to loop around. Parking shouldn't be a problem and you can get a really good stop if you're lucky.

Which we had to exit out and go to the back just to use the bathroom and their dishes with ok it's more of the waiting. It was so small Me & family took over the whole seating area it wasn't much to begin with. But they definitely wasn't expecting that huge of a group to come in all at once. Some of the dishes were unique and tasty. These are some of the dishes we got - Mozzarella Sticks - Zucchini Sticks - Chicken Fingers - Qeema with Paratha [ Patistani Bread , chicken qeema, salad and mint sauce] - Reg waffle [huge] - Paratha Omelet [3 eggs, onions, green chilies, tomatoes, coriander] plus patistani bread on the side - Chai with Almond milk - Wings and fries which waited for the longest time [almost an hour] and it was still raw inside smh Overall this place was ok. The service wasn't even the greatest nor the food. Which it was quite a disappointment. My nieces food was uncooked and they only gave her a free milkshake as an apologize. I don't think we be coming back here again. When i asked one of the staff what is this wthat comes with the paratha Omelet and the staff gave me an attitude and said it's patistani bread like i should have known. It wasn't even listed on their menu that's why i asked. It's a cute place but with their rude attitude, uncooked food. No thanks

My favorite sauce of choice always would be honey bbq. The Gyro platter is my second favorite but I will always go for the Chicken Pita wrap because the meat and sauce consistency is excellent. They also have a banana pudding that you cannot forget to buy as a side. I normally hate chunky bananas in my banana pudding but theirs is absolutely my favorite. (No chunky banana's) The service is okay (that's where I give it 4.5) there is one guy there that never smiles or laughs I'm not sure what his issue is but every time I went there in the lunch time he never seemed to be welcoming but I never let that affect me. I just come the hours he's not there. But either way the other employees and owner are fantastic don't let one mood ruin your whole day. The food is great. The floors are sticky and the area around the garbage has pieces of food because no one has cleaned it. I saw the hand sanitizer, but the bottle looked dirtier than the floor. A gentleman screamed from the back. How can I help you while he's on the phone and doing God knows what. After he put his phone down and decided to take my order it was insane how three mixed platters and six falafel's came out to $50. Of course I've been to other Halal places one very famous in Fairlawn and I never experienced like this. Mind you I still haven't ordered my food. Why my order was being prepared. The gentleman had his body and neck at a 90° angle chitchatting on the phone over the food. I was wondering if I should've brought an umbrella for this event. Their platter looks nothing like the picture mind you the chicken was kind of yellowish, but in the right light it looks like human flesh. The chicken was cold so was the beef. The beef tasted just like every other Halal place you've ever been to matter fact the meat used is from a larger chunk of meat that was brought to the store in a bag later thawed out and cut into little cubes. What is in it? Who knows? The chicken tastes nothing that you would buy in an Arabian country. Maybe that's why it was called Halal. And the guy who prepared my food did bless it with his mouth open. Do I recommend this place? I recommend for someone to come and clean it and teach these gentlemen how to be a little bit more sanitary. I don't wish this place harmed. They've been around for a long time, but they need to be a little bit more sanitary. Someone needs to grab a mop and a rag and wipe things down. I gave them three stars cause they could do a lot a lot better. Well, I returned to this place maybe when they clean up. Let me tell you about the enthusiasm in that place., practically zero. Oh and before I forget their white sauce couldn't get any watery. Someone is seriously being cheap over there. AND WHY THE HELL DOES THE CHICKEN TAIST LIKE TUNA WITH HOT SAUCE?! This ain't it!!
