Decided to try it since everyone is head over heels for this place but I sadly didn't really find it flavorful. I tried there new chicken bites with spicy barbecue sauce and it really didn't stand out for me. The sauce was not at all spicy and it just wasn't great barbecue. The chicken had pieces of cartilage and was very chewy. The fries were OK. I did also try one of their tenders, and I didn't like that most of the "spicy "seasonings were truly just powder rather than having seasoned the meat before cooking it. I have quite low spice tolerance, but the mild was a good amount of spice for me. The chicken skin was super crispy and the chicken was pretty tender. Service was fast and the space is clean. This location is about 40 minutes from our house but we were somewhat close by so we decided to get dinner before heading home. We ordered almost $75 of food - 6 meals. When we got home, we realized they had neglected to give us 2 of the meals. When we sat down to eat, (not all of us actually had anything to eat) there was little to no seasoning on our meals that were supposed to be medium. I'm rating 4 stars because the two times I've placed a pickup order it's never been ready waiting at the time given to me in the app. I'm always waiting which is definitely frustrating. It just opened and the line to order stretched outside of the building, I assume this will be the case for the first few weeks depending on when you come. It was worth the wait tho! I'd say overall a 4.5 - here's why: The service was great and the workers were helpful. The atmosphere was cool as well, the decorated walls gave this place an edgy vibe. For the food, the chicken was really great quality, the dave's sauce was delicious and they did not skimp out on it! We had leftover sauce. And those pickles thooo, they gave a healthy stack and I was grateful! The price wasn't bad either especially compared to other hot chicken places - only $9 for a slider and fries combo. We got the slider and tender combo (the tenders are big and juicy as you could imagine) and the regular slider combo. Mac n cheese was amazing as well, super creamy and cheesy. Where could they improve? Well... my bf got the hottest spice level which was reaper. They made him sign a waiver and everything! Just for it to taste like a medium, even I tasted it (for reference I got the mild flavor on mine because I'm a baby with spice) and I wasn't reaching for my water after! Came here with my friends on the second day and opened, was exceptionally and pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Food: very few places, nowadays specialize in just one thing, and this place is surprising how they keep it bare-bones. You can simply order chicken tenders or chicken sliders, choose a spice level, and fall into a little piece of heaven. The spice was very very nice and felt like a proper Nashville hot chicken fries were nice we seasoned and I actually really enjoy the mac & cheese. Aesthetic: the place is absolutely strange, and I love it. The mascot for Dave's is a rubber chicken head, and they decide to go with it by essentially posting strange art around the place. I'd very good amount to see then, but definitely not enough for how crazy the response was on the first few days (there was about 20 different tables). Service: the people working the register seemed very stressed, and to be fair, there was a steady line of 15 to 20 people lined up outside the store, not including within.
