    Spicy Cajun Chicken Combo
    Rachel C.

I had a nice experience at Firehouse Subs. I had the spicy cajun chicken sandwich. It did not disappoint! The sandwich tasted warm and fresh and full! The staff was friendly and had my order out quick. There is also plenty of parking which is great and conveniently in a shopping center.

Medium Hook & Ladder (free with coupon) [subbed ham for roast beef] with Chips & Drink Combo (~$3)

Ordered: Medium Hook & Ladder (free with coupon): white bread with smoked turkey breast, roast beef (subbed from Virginia honey ham), Monterey Jack, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, and deli mustard with a dill spear on the side Chips & Drink Combo (~$3): Lay's potato chips & fountain Diet Coke Aya's take: First time trying Firehouse Subs and I must say I'm impressed. I've developed a sandwich obsession lately and I knew this was going to hit based on all the ingredients in the sandwich. Because I don't eat pork. I substituted it with roast beef which was the right move! The roast beef was loaded with flavors that came through way more than the smoked turkey breast. The bread was warm and soft and all the toppings were absolutely necessary to make this sandwich what it is. I could've easily inhaled a Large sandwich but the Medium is solid especially when making it a combo. The Chips & Drink just completed the meal for me and I love that they offer a pickle on the side. So glad I got to try it; definitely more likely to come back now!

For a chain, I must say their subs are extraordinary. They use good ingredients. The honey ham sub uses good mustard and some secret mayo which makes it very tasty yet still light and doesn't taste heavy. Their meatball sub is always my favorite. And the pepperoni pizza sub they just have these gigantic slices of pepperoni on it. I prefer firehouse any day over Subway. I just wish they have more locations. By the way, there's one at Newark airport and it was very good too.

My clients were in the mood for Firehouse Subs so we ordered from here. I ordered the jerk turkey sub on wheat. Everything was ordered online. When I arrived I waited a bit for them to make it. I parked in the plaza lot. The food was ready and I left after it was done. When I tried the sub it was very delicious. I really enjoyed the jerk flavors. It wasn't hot enough though. All in all I had a good experience.

Fire as always! Fresh ingredients, yummy meats. My gf got the veggie sub which was phenomenal! I got pastrami, and my buddy got chicken bacon ranch!

The restaurant is very clean and tables are spaced out. The beverage area is clean and Soda Machine has where you can pick any flavor pretty much out there. The limeade Zero is refreshing! I had the Firehouse Steak and Cheese sandwich. It wasn't horrible but they put too much mayonnaise on it and you can't taste the cheese at all. The portion size is rather skimpy for the price. They also have a rewards program that offers you a free beverage with purchase for signing up and gives you a free sandwich for your birthday. With an offer or coupon, I'd return but other than that, there are other sandwich places that are much better.

Sandwiches are good. Quality of meat appears to be good. I purchased a Smoke Provolone Turkey. Staff was attentive to my modifications.

This is my second review of this establishment. In my initial review, I had issues with the burger…read morebeing overly soft, the fries being unseasoned and cold, and an unpleasant oil taste. However, this review is not about that experience. Let's start with the service. I placed my order with John, who was pleasant and easy to deal with. After speaking with the owner on Yelp, he suggested that some of my original issues may have been due to the timing and the fact that my order was delivered, which could have affected the quality. Taking that into account, I ordered the same item again. This time, the service was good, and I got home with the food piping hot. The issue I previously had with the burger does seem to have been caused by delivery time, as it was much better this time around. Unfortunately, the fries were just as disappointing. They were cold as soon as I opened the packaging, though at least they didn't have the old oil taste this time. Instead, it was very obvious they were frozen fries--confirmed by the presence of a plastic bag of frozen fries. They were again unseasoned, not even lightly salted, and somehow managed to be both cold and burnt at the same time. One thing that concerned me was the staffing. There were four employees present, but only two seemed to actually be working. John appeared to be leading things and taking orders, and there was someone cooking. One employee in a beanie seemed mostly idle, though I overheard something about deliveries, so I assume he may have been the delivery driver. Another employee, who looked around my age, didn't appear to be doing anything at all. That was a bit concerning. Overall, I updated my original rating from 2 stars to 3 stars. It was fine, but nothing impressive. If I were rating it out of 10, I'd give it a 4/10. The burger was good in terms of softness, but the onion rings and bacon lacked the crunch I was expecting. They were mostly soggy, though still an improvement compared to my first experience. The burger patty itself, without toppings, tasted dense and brick-like. If the fries had been good, I honestly would've rated this closer to a 7/10. However, I had to dock several points because I don't understand how fries can be both burnt and cold at the same time, nor how the quality managed to decline further between visits--from tasting like old oil to tasting unmistakably frozen and completely unseasoned. If I'm in the area, I might stop by for the burger alone, but even then I'd have to be in a very specific mood. The most disappointing part is that the owner personally encouraged me to give it another try. While one issue from my original visit was resolved, the fries somehow got worse. I know I'm ranting about the fries, but honestly--how do you mess up fries this badly?

Everything is stacked right, it holds together better than most, and the flavor balance is perfect. You get crispy, savory, melty, salty, all in one bite. Every time. I drive about 12 miles to get here which says a lot. It also happens to fall right between home and work so it's become my go-to detour on Fridays. Early lunch stop or mid-shift reset, it never disappoints. Portions are legit and they don't skimp on fillings. You're full but not destroyed. The spot has that Jersey counter-shop feel. Order, grab a seat if there's one open, or take it to go and wreck it in your car. Either way the food travels well and the quality doesn't drop off. There is limited space inside to enjoy the freshest bite but tables revolve quickly. If you're into fat sandwiches or never had one done right, this is the place. Real ingredients, no shortcuts, every sandwich feels like someone actually cared about stacking it right. Easily five stars. Worth the drive. Worth the mess.

There is a small little parking lot that can fit 4-5 cars right off the main road. Inside was decorated with cute Christmas decor, and the domestic violence scene from Godfather Part 1 casually playing on the TV while I'm trying to eat my food. Good variety of options of appetizers, small shared plates, pizza, fresh pasta, and entrées to choose from our group decided to split the popular pizza. Then everyone offended for themselves - our table ordered the gnocchi with pesto and chicken Milanese, chicken parmigiana with penne, Arancini, and the "focaccia"/house garlic bread. The Arancini was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft and luscious on the inside. The pizza was a perfect sweet and savory combo of burrata, prosciutto, and balsamic glaze. The pesto was a bit thin and ate a little soupier than I prefer. Buyer beware with the focaccia - although it's called focaccia, it's also listed under the pizzas so it was served thin and crispy like a pizza rather than thick and fluffy like we had been expecting. I would absolutely return again to try all the other dishes, especially the shared plates, different pizzas, and other fresh pasta offerings.
