For a chain, I must say their subs are extraordinary. They use good ingredients. The honey ham sub uses good mustard and some secret mayo which makes it very tasty yet still light and doesn't taste heavy. Their meatball sub is always my favorite. And the pepperoni pizza sub they just have these gigantic slices of pepperoni on it. I prefer firehouse any day over Subway. I just wish they have more locations. This was my first time trying Firehouse Subs and my last. T-Mobile Tuesdays had a special for Firehouse Subs this week. Buy 1 Medium Hook & Ladder and get the second one for free, so I was very excited to try it. First, there was an app problem. Not a problem downloading the app but when going to pay, I got a message saying the payment method didn't work and try again. Well, I tried 4 GOOD credit cards and it still didn't work. I even asked the store manager if I could pay directly at the store but I couldn't. Just when I was about to forget it, for some reason it worked. This took at least a half hour. Not good. That was the first problem. Then, after I got my order and went to eat it, first of all, it didn't look anything like the photo which is very deceptive. One slice of turkey and one slice of ham!! Really!! Not only have I never seen a ridiculous amount of meat put on a sub but again, it didn't look anything like the photo. This was desceptive advertising and it's possible you could be liable for a lawsuit. So, two Hook & Ladder subs for a total of $9.59. Sounds good right? The foundation of a good sandwich is the bread. If you start with bad bread, even with the best meats and toppings, the sandwich suffers. In the case of Firehouse, the bread is borderline awful and the meats are sub par. Firehouse is to sandwiches what Dominos is to pizza. The restaurant is very clean and tables are spaced out. The beverage area is clean and Soda Machine has where you can pick any flavor pretty much out there. The limeade Zero is refreshing! I had the Firehouse Steak and Cheese sandwich. It wasn't horrible but they put too much mayonnaise on it and you can't taste the cheese at all. The portion size is rather skimpy for the price. They also have a rewards program that offers you a free beverage with purchase for signing up and gives you a free sandwich for your birthday. wow, for sandwiches that their variety of sandwiches really surprised me and that all of their sandwiches were really delicious and very flavorful that I think about these sandwiches so I really think that they deserve a five star. We ordered the ham and lettuce sandwich and also a pepperoni sandwich and let me tell you that the ham and lettuce one was very filling and refreshing that I ate the whole thing even though it was like really big. The pepperoni sandwich was also nice. It tasted like a filling pizza but a nice ratio on a sandwich. The service was nice. So I've been to a few different firehouse sub locations so I know what to expect from them quality wise since it's a chain that keeps to a certain standard. And no different here, the quality of the food was on point, everything tasted fresh and their Coca Cola machine with their 100+ flavors to choose from was working fine. Few points that were missed here was that the hot sauces (which I love) were kinda low on inventory and some of them that they did have, had very low amount (literally 2drops) of hot sauce left in them. They're were also no small cups left to pour the hot sauce into and when going up to the counter to ask for more, staff was chatting away with each other instead of immediately acknowledging me. Trust me, I don't mind them chatting away but at least make sure you don't have your back turned to the customer side while doing so. All by all was a good experience and food was delicious. The subs here are really fresh and we love spicing up the subs with a 7 or 8 from their hot sauce selection! They've got the Coke computer for lack of a better term with those crazy flavors that they have it you can mix then and make your own. All stores should have them. We'd like to see the other soda vendors make them too! They have a loyalty program too and you get a free sub for your birthday! This is my first time here. There are 5 other people in here (one already eating; one employee on break; a couple waiting for food; and a woman waiting for a to-go order. It took much longer than necessary to get my order - a small sub. I ordered the small meatball sub and was disappointed purely for the fact that a "small" is the same as a "kids" size, which is 4". Granted, I didn't need a ton of food but 4" is an arbitrary size.... especially for the cost. Basically you're paying 6" price and getting less in my opinion. As for taste, it was fine. I had a 2 hour 45 minute drive ahead of me so this was purely a pit stop to avoid hunger later on. It satisfied its purpose but I don't think I'd go out of my way to go here again.
