I order beef either black/blue or mid rare always and have yet to have stomach issues at other establishments if it is truly fresh. Servers are great but do not envision going back anytime soon.

I tried the beef soondubu less spicy which came in a generous quart size - perfect comforting broth with rice to satisfy my cravings. The tofu was so soft and fresh and the beef was great, not too fatty nor chewy, was just surprised it didn't have any other ingredients at all like egg/onions/zucchini that I've had with other soondubu. Same goes for the plain clam soondubu that I ordered for my son, nothing but tofu and clams but the soup was tasty and my son really enjoyed it with the ramen noodles. For a picky eater, he devoured everything and drained the soup from his bowl in one sitting. My husband enjoyed the spicy pork bento. Our son devoured the fried dumplings that came with it. The banchan was basic but tasty - 3 small containers of kimchi, spicy cucumbers and sliced fish cake with carrots. Overall, enjoyable meal and would definitely return again next time we are in the area.

We steamed onward with the sweet and spicy wings which I highly recommend. I could've just eaten plate after plate of those wings. To balance things, we had some sprouts and then rounded things out with the pork belly. As you can probably surmise, we had no space left for dessert. But that just means a second visit! Very minimalistic decor which I appreciated, clean lines. Wonderfully attentive and accommodating staff. Perfect date night spot.

We arrived shortly after opening and were among the first customers. The restaurant is spacious and nicely decorated, and the staff member who greeted us was friendly. We were given water and the regular menu, which did not include a lunch section, so we assumed lunch specials were no longer offered. After we ordered, however, several customers who arrived later were given tea and an additional menu that appeared to be a lunch menu. We also noticed that their banchan selection was different from what we received. I ordered bibimbap and paid an additional $12 to substitute the beef with galbi. The amount of galbi was quite small considering the extra charge. The food we received was tasty, and the service was friendly. It's possible that we arrived too early or that the person serving us was not handling the lunch service, so I don't want to make assumptions about why our experience differed from the customers who arrived later. However, the differences were noticeable and left us somewhat confused. Overall, the food was good, but the inconsistency in the menus, tea service, and banchan made the experience less satisfying than we had expected.

We got the 12pc Wings which were smaller than expected. My favorite part of Korean wings is the fact that they're addictively crunchy and double fried - these were neither. The flavor of the sweet & spicy was better than soy garlic but the amount of sesame seeds was slightly overpowering. The Soondubu Chigae w Beef is great for sharing! For the price, the portion is huge. There was a lot of black pepper taste which I found unusual, the egg was not poached, and the portion of beef could've been better. Was it filling? Yes. It just didn't satisfy my craving as expected. The staff were friendly and service was quick. Honestly, the food is super average but considering the serious lack of Korean cuisine in the area, it does the job.
