My family and I had dinner here tonight. We cannot say enough good things about this place. The service is impeccable, and they really make you feel like family. Don't let the huge menu scare you off, as there is something for everyone! My son had a kid's hamburger and fries, which he said was the most delicious burger he's had. My husband had a chicken gyro platter, and I had spinach pie with a side Greek salad. The portions are enormous, and the food absolutely delicious. I've driven by this place so many times, and finally tried it out for takeout. I'm just kicking myself for not ordering from here sooner! The food is so good. We started with the tirokafteri served with warm, fresh pita and it had the perfect amount of spice to it. I didn't see garlic listed on the menu so be warned: it's super garlicky. We each ordered the Greek bowl - one with gyro meat, one with grilled shrimp. The bowls are huge, fresh, and flavorful and topped with delicious tzatziki. This is our new go-to Greek spot. Went here for the first time today after living in Wayne for 20 years. What an amazing experience I ordered takeout for lunch. I had a chicken Gyro and it was amazing talking to the woman. Front was such a great time as I waited for my food to be prepared. I asked if they had frappe which is Greek coffee and they said yes and brought it out for me on the house. I try not to be too harsh with local business but I have to say the gyros are pretty much basic. As well as the grape leaves. And the calamari. And the tzatziki. The general rule on the east coast is if they have falafel- it's not Greek. They definitely do have falafel but also have a statement about bringing authentic Greek food to the table. Conundrum. But the taste is what I am rating. We picked up so delivery isn't in question; nor is their dining experience. The mediocrity of the food wouldn't be masked by phenomenal service either way, however. Unfortunately I can't recommend it. Plenty of other options to frequent. I assume it's a convenient location, however - if you work or live in that area. Ok and now I just got threatened by the manager that she will call the cops if I don't give her my partner's credit card number to "prove" I've eaten there otherwise I'm "abusing" her and her business. Went there for the first time yesterday. Three of us each got the same thing, lamb and beef gyro. They were fantastic. Overstuffed but I kind of like it like that. We got a side order of french fries that were hand cut and had a little sprinkle little Greek oregano which was a secret ingredient I never thought of. The host, owner was delightful. I'm mystified by the good reviews, but perhaps something happened to this place? Our experience was disastrous. We had several good appetizers, though the saganaki was hard and dry. The food itself was just ok, but the Moussaka was awful. But, all of that would be acceptable if there was even a shred of an idea that one course should be cleared away before another one served. They brought the dinner, leaving all of the appetizer plates on the table, though they could see there wasn't anywhere to put the dinners. Then, they continued to bring dessert, leaving the table covered with BOTH appetizer and dinner dishes. We diners finally picked up the dishes and put them on another table. Maybe they just need to hire someone, but it was an awful mess. The menus were sitting there also & we had to move them off. I would not return. read more

My wife's family picked up food from here the other night. My chicken gyro was awesome. My sister-n-law said her gyro was very good, and we both made a mess. Don't let the exterior looks of this small Mom and Pop restaraunt fool you, inside is as close to you can get to dining on the isle of Hedra while staying in the USA. Greek music, vibrant blues reminiscent of the medeteranian waters and a very friendly and helpful staff round out the ambiance. As for the food, again absolutely fantastic! Spanokapita, fried goat cheese, and an array of authentic dishes. There's a number of American dishes as well if you have non adventurous eaters in your group as well. Excellent Greek food at good prices. We got a fried saganaki cheese appetizer which was excellent. It came with two fried cheese pieces with warm pita and tzisiki sauce. It was excellent. Enough for two people. For dinner, I got the lamb souvlaki platter and my wife got the beef gyro sandwich. Her sandwich was stuffed with meat and she could only eat half of it. She loved it. My platter came with a delicious Greek salad and excellent steak fries. Plenty of food and I took home about half so I could save room for dessert. I had the sweet classic crepe dessert which was homemade. Out of this world. I would definitively recommend this place and will be back again. The service is friendly and quick. Very helpful with the menu which can be overwhelming in a good way. Plenty of options. The ambiance was nice. We came later on a Friday so it was slow, so we almost had the entire place to ourselves. They have live music and dancing, but that won't start back up until May if you like entertainment with dinner. The restaurant is a little tucked away but was a great find. Huge fan of Greek cuisine and O Blaxos opened up in my neighborhood. Thought it was time to try it out. Rule of thumb is to always taste the gyro first as it sets the parameters for the rest of their menu. Review in a nutshell: I will be going back. O Blaxos serves their gyro with beef and lamb and stuff their pita with the meat, lettuce, onion, and plenty of tzatziki sauce. The pita was the best part of the sandwich as it's soft, fluffy, and flavorful. I even ate a side order of pita plain. Really enjoyed the gyro and the homemade tzatziki. One of the better gyros in the area. Huge bonus goes to the french fries. Their cut to a size in between steak fries and super thin, but they were perfectly deep fried with being just enough mushy and salted to perfection. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu. read more

Very overpriced Greek fare and menu, where they served me a tiny portion, was for me and I'm a small framed, 120 lb woman. Then, what their price was for it?? Hello? Crazy seeing I got a Pork Souvlaki sandwich, @ 9.50, I asked for the "handcut" fries, I thought was included in that price, they also present the fries as being in house, "hand cut" sounds hand made, BUT really they are just seasoned style, frozen, food service bag fries w/skinned ends, hence term, handcut, they're common from food service suppliers and this place serves them with greek seasoning. I've had them before, without skinned ends and so not liking them. I hoped this place had actual hand cut fries, I was wrong.... Sandwich plate, w/fries, when given, I was in shock at the small plate and sandwich wrapped in pita size, huh? I really say tiny here, and how I had to pay them $15 bucks for the smallest (pork, chewy/fatty) sandwich, with some soggy/wilted cut lettuce and a small pile of fries, of which I thought was included in the price, it was not as I found out when check came. Huh? The check was just about $15 bucks w/tax, thought wow, like how? Though I still left a $5 tip (on a $15 check) server girl was nice, not her fault the owner has to gouge people. I said so after giving her a $20 bill, told her keep the change and she, knowing I am never to come back. The place, based on my take on it, I'd not recommend. I feel the owner is also in la la land on menu prices and again, for that area, just not seeing it. Portions def. need real attention, and menu wording isn't so clear, and, noticed a menu online someplace showing lower prices than what the in house menu is when at the place. Many places do this, I get a feeling a sort of a bait and switch on that point. This place should stop maxing profits by serving less food, take notice as I did. Ingredients are organic, they claim and it's a byob place, that is an allure to wine drinkers I know, their food is nothing to write home about. Other reviews I saw here, when sifting through them, some also reflect the negatives, besides the positives. Eating dwarfed and overpriced plates of Greek foods in that neighborhood in my opinion, won't fly for long term, there "food" places in that same location before this fairly newer place, others there before have come and gone lots. I think events and Greek dancing, wont keep it well enough sustained for years to come. Who knows but I am fairly skeptical.
