When I walked in the guy making the food was very welcoming with a nice big smile. I had a few questions for him and he explained them all perfectly so I understood what I was getting. As for the food: We tried the chicken & lamb combo platter. It was full to the brim. Had to weight 4lbs. The chicken and the lamb were both flavorful and cooked well. That goes the same for the rice. They threw in extra sauce as well. Also tried the chopped cheese burger. It was good but it could have been chopped up a little more. The seasoned fries it came with were still nice and crispy when I got home. Will definitely be back being it's less than 10 minutes from me.

There are a handful (probably about ten) two-person tables inside, and one outside. The interior is bright, clean, and minimal. There are lots of different options to choose from -- you come for the Mediterranean food, but they have a good amount of standard breakfast options (like avocado toast), smoothies (with protein available), coffee, and pastries. I got the falafel mezze (app) and the lamb gyro pita. Both were incredibly fresh and delicious -- you can tell everything's made with care and quality in mind. On top of that, the staff, particularly the person that brought me my food and checked in on me, was super attentive and kind. I would come back here in a heartbeat!

As I'm walking through the parking lot, reaching the door, I noticed the glass door was filthy, I…read moregrabbed the handle and of course it was sticky. I walk inside. The tables are dirty. The floors are sticky and the area around the garbage has pieces of food because no one has cleaned it. I saw the hand sanitizer, but the bottle looked dirtier than the floor. A gentleman screamed from the back. How can I help you while he's on the phone and doing God knows what. After he put his phone down and decided to take my order it was insane how three mixed platters and six falafel's came out to $50. Of course I've been to other Halal places one very famous in Fairlawn and I never experienced like this. Mind you I still haven't ordered my food. Why my order was being prepared. The gentleman had his body and neck at a 90° angle chitchatting on the phone over the food. I was wondering if I should've brought an umbrella for this event. Their platter looks nothing like the picture mind you the chicken was kind of yellowish, but in the right light it looks like human flesh. The chicken was cold so was the beef. The beef tasted just like every other Halal place you've ever been to matter fact the meat used is from a larger chunk of meat that was brought to the store in a bag later thawed out and cut into little cubes. What is in it? Who knows? The chicken tastes nothing that you would buy in an Arabian country. Maybe that's why it was called Halal. And the guy who prepared my food did bless it with his mouth open. Do I recommend this place? I recommend for someone to come and clean it and teach these gentlemen how to be a little bit more sanitary. I don't wish this place harmed. They've been around for a long time, but they need to be a little bit more sanitary. Someone needs to grab a mop and a rag and wipe things down. I gave them three stars cause they could do a lot a lot better. Well, I returned to this place maybe when they clean up. Let me tell you about the enthusiasm in that place., practically zero. Oh and before I forget their white sauce couldn't get any watery. Someone is seriously being cheap over there. AND WHY THE HELL DOES THE CHICKEN TAIST LIKE TUNA WITH HOT SAUCE?! This ain't it!!

The deal never applied, so I called the restaurant to get it corrected. Instead of helping, they insisted they were not offering any such promo--even after I explained that it was clearly shown on Uber Eats and confirmed by Uber support. On top of that, my wife was standing outside in the pouring rain trying to pick up the order while I was stuck on the phone arguing with an employee who clearly could not care less about customer service. He then called a manager who ultimately doubled down and said they had no responsibility to honor the promo. If you're going to partner with delivery platforms, maybe learn how to advertise correctly so you don't deceive and mislead your customers. Completely unacceptable experience. I will never be ordering or visiting this place again. If you'd like, I can tailor this version to sound more aggressive, more professional, shorter, or include more specific details like location and date.

When visiting my mom, we were looking for a place to have a casual dinner as part of her birthday…read moreweekend. She had been to Zorba Greek Eatery with her friends recently and, knowing I'm quite fond of Mediterranean cuisine, suggested that my husband and I would enjoy it as much as she had. Indeed we did! Hands down, this small, unassuming restaurant located in a shopping center offered some of the best Greek food I have ever eaten. The three of us shared an amazing meal starting with a combination platter of three delicious, creamy spreads (Melitzanosalata, Tzatziki and Hummus) accompanied by a basket of toasty pita triangles. We also ordered Dolmades (stuffed grape leaves - a favorite of my husband's) while perhaps not homemade, were good. My mom and also ordered the Avgolemono Soup (lemon chicken soup) which, while light on the chicken, had a nice flavor. But the top pick in the starter department was the grilled octopus I ordered. I have eaten this seafood in many places, including my former favorite - a beachside taverna in Cozumel, Mexico that, sadly, has been taken over by the sea. Zorba's grilled octopus was perfectly cooked, not chewy at all, and served in a light sauce that complimented it well. We were quite satiated with our starter picks so my mom and I shared a lamb kabob platter. This included two skewers of lamb chunks (rare, as we asked) along with a heaping pile of Zorba fries (oregano, lemon and feta) that were nicely crisp as ordered. My husband's Gyro platter was piled high with the tasty meat and also came with a mountain of the house's special fried potatoes. We were just took full to take another bite. A healthy piece baklava was packed up as a gift in recognition of my mother's birthday - on the house. Wow. The quantity of food that we received required two bags to bring the leftovers home ... which we will thoroughly savor another time. Our server, Michelle, was outstanding. Cherry, friendly and helpful, she was attentive without being intrusive. A true asset! If you crave authentic, Greek fare, then this place is for you. The restaurant is cozy, not fancy by any means ... on par with a nice pizzeria. Parking is easy in the shopping center. They do a healthy take-out service as well. It's BYOB in case you want to bring a bottle of your favorite wine to accompany your meal. Zorba Greek Eatery will be among our top picks when we return to NJ.
