Came for a party. Food was served family style and super good! Service was amazing too.

Overall good experience! We came for my mom birthday. Party of 4 on a Saturday night. The ambiance is nice. Our waiter wasn't the best but he was ok. I couldn't find him to tell him it was her birthday. Food was really good. I had the rigatoni vodka with shrimp. Really good. My boyfriend had a chicken dish that was really good. Cooked perfectly. I tried his pasta side and didn't love the regular tomato sauce but I'd be willing to try it again. My brother had the veal parm and mom had the mahi mahi special. Both of them like theirs as well. They have so many gelato and cannoli options I was overwhelmed. The waiter read them off but we all wished they were listed somewhere to make it easier no one could remember anything. I just had classic cannoli and it was delicious. Mom had lemon gelato and boyfriend had pistachio. The lemon was good. Pistachio was a little too nutty for me. Would def return.

My boyfriend and I stumbled on to Stefano's on the way to another restaurant. We were hungry, so we decided to eat in Stefano's . It's a BYOB. The restaurant does have some outside heaters. We've dined outside at least twice. The servers were excellent each time. The first dining experience was perfection. The second experience was on the slow side along with a few other issues. We can't fault the servers on the second time. They were very apologetic. In addition, we've had take out a few times. 95% of the food is Very Very Good with the exception of a tasteless pizza. Being Italian and from Newark (back in the day) I know good pizza. My food recommendations are their "Phenomenal Fig Salad", tasty antipasto and most of their pasta. I enjoyed their entrées because they were not garlicky and not over seasoned. All of their dishes are truly eye catching!!!! From what I've been told, Stefanos and Stefano's Pizzeria have been combined because of COVID. Can't comment on delivery, because I don't live in the area. A large parking lot is available for a Stefano's Anyway, I definitely recommend this restaurant. .

Sandra is away so Susie and I needed to eat so here we are. Haven't been here in years and I'm glad we are now back. We were greeted and seated promptly by a very nice person who was then our server. She was very knowledgeable and answered every question I had. We shared a stuffed artichoke for an appetizer. It was tasty but will say it wasn't really my cup of tea. It had way to much sauce on it and an over powering flavor of olives. I love both sauce and olives but not on this, sorry. Susie had ravioli that was in a thick tasty tomato sauce that was very good. I had a stuffed chicken dish over risotto that was fantastic. The risotto was cooked perfect and the chicken was loaded with flavor. Prices are reasonable and service was friendly and prompt. We will definitely return but I will skip the choke. Enjoy

Been coming here for almost a decade. Legit authentic over-the-top presentation Italian fare with service to match. Formal restaurant is intimate with nice decor. Never had a meal I was disappointed with. BYOB. I've had them cater countless birthday parties. Have referred co-workers who live as far as FortLee and still frequent this spot. Food is spot on. Had the Veal Chop special tonight. Wife had the stuffed sea bass. Make reservations. Opens 430pm. Plenty of parking. For pizza or informal Check out nicely appointed pizzaria on right. They say the cannoli's are their gem, but wait until you have their lemon sorbet!!! Seriously this place is legit! Thanks for your hospitality!

Just watching my mom and aunt eat

Disappointed with the service. This place has a lot of potential. However, I went out to have a nice lunch with my mom and aunt. We all ordered lunch meals. Mine came out first. After about 15 minutes, my mom's and aunt's food was still being prepared. So, I had to eat my food before it got cold. (I don't know about anyone else, but I wait to eat until everyone else gets their food). So after I ate my food, we still had to wait an additional 15 minutes for my mom's and aunt's food. When it was delivered, the waiter didn't even make sure everything was ok and if I even wanted a plate to eat with my family. (I ordered eggplant rollatini and both my mom and aunt ordered pasta dishes). Also, when we were placing our orders, the waiter didn't even know the menu items. When we ordered "Fuscilli Amatriciana," the waiter was like "uh..." then I had to point at the menu item for him to spell it.

Staff was exceptional! I can not take that away from them. However, the food was a three at best for me. I did enjoy the antipasto, salad, and penne vodka. We had chicken parmigiana and fish for our meal. Chicken parmigiana over fish all the way. The fish just smelt fishy and it was salty. I was unable to finish the rest of my piece. Luckily, the chicken made up for it. The sauce they are dressing with it is very rich in tomato and seasoning. I came for a beautiful event! The staff was great and accommodating throughout the whole lunch in.

Located on Route 23 south. Half is pizza parlor and other half restaurant. Do not serve pizza in restaurant. Ambiance is nice and arrive good. All the dishes with pasta were bland tasting. Fair Italian food not going back .

We loved our delicious dinner and the professional and friendly wait staff. We left with full bellies and hearts. Definitely recommend for special occasions or a "treat yourself" dinning experience. Thank you for the wonderful dinner to celebrate our Mother's 80th birthday. XO

    Italian weeding soup

We have passed by Stefano's Ristorante for months and finally stopped in. I'm glad I didn't listen to the reviews. Our waitress Lou was very nice and friendly. They had so many specials and a great traditional Italian menu. We ordered shrimp cocktail, stuffed mushrooms, Italian wedding soup and then a fig salad. Everything came out fast and the portions were big. Everything was delicious. Our entrees were the branzino stuffed with crab and cavatelli with broccoli garlic and oil we loved everything. The bathroom was very clean and they clean every table before and after Can't wait to try the pizza. Combing back soon

Ok long post but I have to say this because everyone needs to know!!!…read more Our wedding at The Legacy Castle was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. I truly don't even know where to begin because every single part of this experience exceeded anything we could have ever imagined. The venue itself is unreal. It is hands down the most beautiful venue in all of New Jersey. It literally feels like an absolute fairytale being brought to life. Every corner, every detail, every view is just breathtaking. We kept looking around the entire night thinking, "we really got married here?" I still cannot believe we were able to have our wedding at a place this stunning. It is truly top tier. But what made everything even more incredible was the staff. Every single person we interacted with, our maitre d' and coordinator especially, and the entire team, were beyond professional. I mean truly beyond. Nothing was short of absolute perfection with them. Everything was organized, seamless, and handled with such care and precision. I thought one or two things could go wrong because that's just how weddings go. But No mistakes with this staff. What honestly shocked us the most was how many of our vendors pulled us aside just to rave about the staff. Not one, not two, but multiple vendors stopped us and said that in all the weddings they've worked, they have never seen a team this organized and professional. They told us they go to weddings every single weekend, and that this was on another level. Hearing that from people who are constantly in this industry really put into perspective just how incredible this team is. On top of that, my husband and I were honestly so overwhelmed throughout the day, and the staff just took over everything in the best way possible. We brought in so many personal items and decor pieces, fully expecting that at the end of the night we'd probably lose a few things here and there because things get chaotic and things get misplaced. But somehow, they packed every single item back exactly how we brought it, and loaded everything into our car without breaking a sweat. They even escorted us out and sent us on our way with a huge smile at the end of the night. And the food... I don't even have the words. We didn't add anything extra, this was just their standard offering, and our 250 guests are still talking about it. So many people told us it was the best cocktail hour they have ever seen in their lives. The amount of food, the quality, the presentation, it was beyond anything we expected. Everyone says the one thing guests always remember from a wedding is the food, and I know for a fact people are going to remember ours because it was just that good. Everything about The Legacy Castle, the beauty, the organization, the professionalism, the food, the service, was absolutely flawless. It felt like every single person there genuinely cared about making our wedding perfect, and they delivered in every possible way. We are still in disbelief over how perfect everything was and will forever be grateful

We always have a great experience-we love the cozy, quaint atmosphere of the tea room. We visited today for the Mother's Day Queen's Tea. I called to make a reservation 2 months in advance since they book up so quickly. In general, reservations are recommended as seating is limited, especially on weekends. When you arrive, you are presented with a prix-fix menu. On non-holidays, you usually have a choice between the soup or the salad of the day. You select your pot of tea from over 60 premium tea flavors. Today, I chose the "Paris" special tea, which had notes of vanilla, caramel, and bergamot. For the Mother's Day Queen's Tea, we had the broccoli and cheddar quiche, a pear, goat cheese, candied walnut, mixed green salad, scones, assorted mini sandwiches, and several mini desserts. Every course was fresh and excellent. The caramel scones are one of the best things I have ever eaten. They are served warm with clotted cream and lemon curd. The caramel is so goey and melts in your mouth. We brought some orange juice and prosecco to have mimosas with our tea. They have glassware in the back that you can request when making your reservation. The service is always top-notch. Holly is the best server! She is super sweet and always hardworking. At the entrance, there is a little gift shop with lots of cute vintage items, tea-themed trinkets, and some of the loose lea tea available in small bags. We love coming here and hope to be back again soon. BEWARE: Confirm pricing before booking…read more We had a 4:00 PM reservation on December 7th for 2 adults and 3 children under age 10, booked by phone. At no point during the reservation call, upon arrival, or during the meal were we told that this was a special holiday event priced at $60 per person, with no children's pricing, even for preschool-age kids. No menu or pricing was provided at the table. We only learned of the cost at checkout, which was extremely surprising given the pricing publicly listed elsewhere. We expected to pay $21.95 per child. Imagine our shock to be charged $60 (for a 4 year old who barely even ate anything!) That said, the tea itself was enjoyable, and we really appreciated their ability to accommodate gluten-free and nut allergies, which they handled well. The variety of teas was impressive. Afterward, I emailed the owner to raise these concerns and was told he would look into it, but I never received a follow-up. He said the pricing is on their website and social media but on their website it's buried in the events page and I don't follow their social media. I made a phone call and booked a tea reservation and didn't expect to have to cross reference multiple online sources for accurate pricing. Unfortunately, the lack of transparency and follow through overshadowed the experience and left us with a pour taste for what should have been a lovely holiday treat. Strongly recommend confirming exact price per person and asking specifically about event pricing when booking by phone, especially around holidays.

They are known for the burgers apparently. My aunt and husband both had the Swiss Mountain Burger. Both enjoyed them. Although the cooking between them was a bit different. My husband's was a bit pink IMO but he likes rare so didn't really care. My daughter enjoyed the penne and meatballs from the dedicated kids menu. It came with a drink and dessert. The portion was hearty and she loved the meatball! Dinner rolls on the table were amazing. Mini chibatta style that were crusty in the outside and soft and chewy in the inside. My uncle had the chicken cashew salad. Large salad although looked like only iceberg as the base. Overall filled with plenty of toppings. I enjoyed one of the salmon specials for today. I chose the grilled lemon pepper salmon. All entrees like this are served with either rice or potato and veggies. I had mashed which were very creamy and flavorful. The salmon had good flavor but IMO was cooked just a little too long. It was flaky but the edges seemed a little dry. Overall I'd recommend it but suggest asking for a medium cook. They offered a dessert menu although everyone was full and decided on just some specialty coffee. Most dishes were in the $15-25 range. Jason, our coordinator, was incredible. He was always communicative, clear, and available to answer any questions we had, no matter how small. He truly made the planning process feel easy and stress-free. On the day of the wedding, the matrades d', Adriana and Jaylene, were absolute superstars. They were by my side the entire time, making sure I was where I needed to be and that everything ran smoothly. I truly couldn't have asked for a better team. The food was phenomenal--people are *still* talking about it! So many guests told us this was one of the best weddings they've ever been to, and the food played a huge part in that. There was so much food that people didn't even realize there was more coming. The dessert table was absolutely amazing, and everything looked beautiful and tasted even better. The pizza during cocktail hour was such a fun and appreciated touch. The entire day ran seamlessly. From organizing vendors to keeping everything on schedule, the team handled every detail flawlessly. The value we received for hosting our wedding at The Grand was truly worth it, and we are so grateful for everyone who helped make our day so special. If you're looking for a venue that is beautiful, well-run, and truly cares about making your day perfect, The Grand is the place.

Ever since I've been in search of a wedding venue of my own, I've been recalling my past…read moreexperiences at other venues I've attended weddings at. Most recently was The Grand over this past summer. Pros of The Grand: It's truly a beautiful space. If you're in search of a traditional ballroom feel, you'll love this one. The outdoor ceremony area & indoor areas are classy and elegant. The cocktail hour was definitely the star of the show here - food was amazing and had a wide variety of cuisines available. Love the option of an outdoor pizza oven at cocktail hour - so unique! This venue is also well priced, offering great options in the NYC/NJ area. Cons of The Grand: From my experience attending a wedding here, I hated the fact that multiple events are hosted at once. Sure, the venue will tell you that the events are staggered so there's no opportunity for the two guests to overlap, but that is completely false. Upon entering the main lobby area where our couple had a champagne welcome, there were stairs that led right to another ballroom/event. Guests from the other event were running rampant up and down those stairs and throughout the entryway where the champagne welcome was, almost to the point where staff was pushing our party out of the room in hopes of avoidance. Cocktail hour for our party was in a separate area of the venue, leading guests to go outside in the courtyard and up some stairs to locate it on their own. The organization overall was just confusing. There was a raw bar present at this wedding I went to, and some of the seafood presented wasn't good (slimy, smelling funky) leading us to avoid it. The outdoor pizza oven that I mentioned being a great feature -- almost no guests knew it existed since it was outside on the balcony and the entirety of cocktail hour was indoors with closed doors, which was a shame since the pizza was delicious. The main reception dinner was lacking, with almost everyone at our table's meals overcooked and inedible. The staff were visibly exhausted as well, with the day being pretty hot in the peak of summer and the maître d' refusing to increase the air conditioning, even with multiple guests and staff begging. We as guests were hot, making us feel terrible for the staff who are forced to wear long button down attire with coats over it to keep up the visual appeal. After speaking with a few staff members (busboys, waiters, bartenders) this seems to be the norm for this venue. This wedding was beautiful and such a good time due to good company, but definitely keep these things in mind when searching for a wedding venue of your own!
