Only been to the food truck at the future Chandler location & it is delicious bbq!! Love the brisket but the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw on it is bomb! Cannot wait till they open the brick & mortar location although not looking forward to drive thru line, gonna be long! read more

My sexy bearded lover and I tried Pork on a Fork for the first time the other day. Everything we ordered was stellar, but to me, the baby back ribs were so extra I couldn't even stand myself. Picked up the food, went home and got settled. When we opened the tinfoil, we could hear trumpets playing. It was like the sun came out just for this special moment. The ribs were beautiful, steamy and exactly what you pictured matching that heavenly smell on the ride home. I moved the ribs a bit and the meat started falling off the bone, HELLO TENDER! Sometimes when you get food this good you just want to hover over it and call it your precious. Needless to say the baby back ribs were not only life changing, but they gave me that reminiscent feeling of being home as a child and of the family cook outs we use to have. Well done done Pork on a Fork, well done. read more

Really good food but girl preparing/serving the meat was very rude and had terrible dandruff and no hair net..... disgusting. Definitely a big turn off when you're excited to try a new place..... read more

The BBQ was fantastic... I've been trying for 2 weeks to no avail to get a response for catering a party.. They must not need the buisness read more

Tasty barbecue and great for lunch. We ordered sandwiches and traditional sides. The bbq is tender and tasted flavorful.

Hands down the best BBQ I have had. Everything you would expect. Nicely smoked, generous portions, great options excellent customer service.

Got an offer via Instagram, buy one get one free so my and hubby went for lunch today. We had the large Midwest monster (2). I had coleslaw and baked beans. Hubby had coleslaw and waffle fries. The sandwich had brisket and pork both of which were tender as all hell. It had a white cheese sauce and on the menu it said comes with slaw( ours didn't have any). And as you can see in the picture there was to much fat almost every bite had fat. I'm not a waffle fry person but these were little pillows of potato heaven. The baked beans were just alright to me a little on the dry side. Coleslaw was good. Let me stress that the meat was oh so tender and tasty. We would probably go back. If the meat wasn't so fatty I would have given 5 stars. Oh ya the staff was very friendly. read more

We were so excited to find this little gem as we've not had any good BBQ in Phoenix. The friendly staff hand shredded our pork sammies and served them with delicious Mac and cheese and baked beans. All were delicious options. We also ordered cole slaw and it was not zingy. They have ample other side options and the traditional BBQ meat options including brisket and sausage. Will definitely add this place to our must haves list. read more

So good, we came two days in a row. Had the beef brisket with cole slaw and sweet potato fries the first day, pulled pork with macaroni salad and sweet potato fries the second day. Everything was delicious, including the homemade barbecue sauces and the iced tea. Your choice of meat and two sides for 12 bucks. I work in Phoenix quite often so I will definitely be back. read more

Great little bbq place! Have ordered for work several times and service and food were always great!

Hands down best BBQ in Phoenix. Perhaps best I've had ever...and I've been to Tennessee and Texas. What they do here isn't short of art. My favorite is the shredded pork. Chicken in a close second. It's so juicy. And goes great with all the sauces. My husband loves the sausage and ribs. Heck. It's all just wonderful. Baked beans and cole slaw are my favorite sides. My kiddo loves the Mac and cheese (obviously.) We are so lucky to live nearby in Deer Valley. This place is a gem. read more

So, the meat was awesome! We got a big sample platter and I loved it all! Brisket, pulled chicken, pulled pork, sausage, with Cole slaw, and sweet potato fries. Then we had the mac and cheese and beans on the side. To me, the meat was the best... the sides were good, but nothing special. Price was great and service too... only thing I didn't really like was that it felt like I was sitting in a cafeteria. I really miss a restaurant that doesn't feel like a quick in and out atmosphere. A lot of places feel like fast food and this place was really cold feeling and kind of like a high school gymnasium. It doesn't make me want to hang out, but I'll take some meat to go! read more

So so good! They are busy during lunch so get there early. Fast and friendly service!! Worth every penny.

Service was good meats were meaty corn bread was hittin' i honestly will keep coming back. Location is great meats were better.

I was really excited to try this place because I heard good reviews. I'm only really complaining about my meal. I got a half rack of ribs with two sides. When my family member went to pick up the food, a worker said they were out of ribs and would I like to sub it with a different meat. Then another worker came out and said that they did have some... okay. Anyway my other family members got the brisket with two sides, which they loved The ribs I got were over cooked, dry, and really tough. I only ate one my side of mac and cheese was okay but the mashed potatoes were extremely spicy I think there may have been too much black pepper. Long story short, I feel like those ribs were gonna get tossed or something and instead of doing so they sold them, I would've rather just got another brisket or pulled pork, if they knew the ribs weren't good. I don't know if I'll go back but if I do I'll be staying away from the ribs. read more

I came here from out of town on work to have some great BBQ and excellent service, instead I was provided with great BBQ but terrible service specifically from their employee "Alex". I asked politely where the dining room was located, and was given a smirk remark with attitude in the response as if it was an abhorrent question. I will be talking my business and clients elsewhere on my future visits to Arizona. read more

Not sure what has gone on here. I was a regular for many years but the last few times I've gone here the food quality service and overall appeal of the restaurant has gone down. Last time I was here I ordered the ribs they came out dry cold tiny and overall just not good. My sides were cold including my crispy fries. Very much a letdown for $15. Not sure since they have multiple locations if the owners or management has changed or just been slacking. The staff is kind of rude not attentive not knowledgeable on the types of meats and smoked Goods. It almost seems as you're doing them a favor for coming in and purchasing their food. So many new GREAT barbecue places have opened up in the valley that I do not think I will be hitting this spot anymore. Hopefully you guys will revert back to what you were and get your food quality and service back to where it was. read more

So delicious! We picked up food for a family gathering and it did not disappoint. The meat was all so flavorful. The mac n cheese has a perfect flavor just a little kick. The cornbread was fantastic. About six months ago we had a disappointing experience here and it was serious enough to post about. They followed up and the owner encouraged us to try them again. Well, about a week or so ago, we did try them again and everything was basically perfect! Staff was much nicer, and even went out of there way to be helpful and friendly. The food though, awesome! Brisket was melt in your mouth tender, perfect flavor, and had a gorgeous smoke ring. The pulled pork was about the best I've ever had. I've spent decades avoiding pork (bacon doesn't count, who doesn't love THAT?) until I first tried it at POAF years ago, and this was the best I've ever had there! It was just heaven. My son, who does NOT enjoy pulled pork even loved it and said he may want to order it next time. NEXT TIME, because we will definitely be back. For food this great and friendly staff, how could we not. Oh, the Mac n' cheese is still delicious. The seasoning kicks it up a notch. (I even asked for more seasoning and they happily provided it.) POAF - Redeemed! Back in the rotation! Thank you POAF! read more

First I have to send a big shout out to Saxony for helping me make a family event come off with out a hitch!! She made sure my order was perfect and was ready on time. The food was awesome. The pulled pork and smoked sausage was tender and juicy and well seasoned. Everyone loved it. The mac & cheese was flavorful and cheesy gooey goodness. Will definitely come back for more! read more

First, but not the last ar this award winning BBQ spot. We ordered a full size Monster, there is a smaller option with pork and brisket with 2 sides. Also ordered chicken strips and absolutely the best sweet potato fries I have ever had! People were coming in and picking up 4-6 lbs of the pork and brisket! They also have picnic packages that would satisfy a game night! Service was a bit complicated with the pickup orders and restaurant steering orders. No bad, but a huge statement for its whole menu. Fun Fact, they serve RC cola, Orange Crush, Squirt and Lemonade and Dr Pepper! read more

Great! We had the family dinner and could have fed 6. Best baked beans I have ever had.

Pork on a Fork catered the Rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding. From start to finish they handled every detail perfectly. The online menu, the catering coordinator and delivery person all right on point. They showed up at Kiwanis park set everything up. It was perfect! Guests raved about the food. Thank you for making my life easy. Can't wait to try again. read more

This is a great place for BBQ . Authentic. Smoke flavor . Was informed they use pecan .i ordered the sampler plate With 3 Meats . It consisted of Brisket, pulled pork , chicken and sausage . 1st the brisket was very good flavorful and tender . The pulled pork was decent and had a good smoke flavor . Only complaint I have with it just. A little dry not much though . The chicken was not bad good decent flavor with a hint of smoke . The sausage was also good and flavorful .this plate also came with 2 sides. I got the mac and cheese and potato salad ,No complaints they were both very good . The staff was very friendly and seemed like they honestly cared about the product they put out . You can tell when a place puts there heart into something , and these guys do . It shows in the food . Next time I'm back in. Phoenix I will be going back for sure you can count on that . read more

Walked in at ten to Three and was greeted with a proclamation of We're out of pork. I enquired if they still had the baby back ribs and they said yes, which to my mind is still a pork product. Definitely a lack of hospitality and customer service and the full slab of baby back ribs were pathetically miniscule for the outrageous price of $25. Needless to say that I will never give this poor excuse of a business another cent of my money or recommend them to anyone else. read more

I've never been a huge BBQ fan but I recently got in touch with an old friend I haven't talked to in years and he suggested we go here. I've only had the smoked sausage with sides of macaroni and cheese and waffle fries, both with seasoning. Immediately this has become one of my favorite meals. I took my wife there and she ordered the pulled pork sandwich which she really liked. She has asked me to pick it up on the way home from work. I've been to both the Deer Valley and Colonade locations. I also hear they are also at Talking Stick Arena (Phoenix Suns) and Gila River Arena (Arizona Coyotes). The Deer Valley location is a bit strange as it's in a business park and doesn't feel like it belongs there, being surrounded by warehouses. The Colonade location feels more like a normal restaurant but the parking sucks as it's next to Fry's Food and Drug and the parking spaces are really narrow. Regardless, the food is consistently good at both locations. I recommend you try it out. read more

Get off of my fork Get into my mouth Get off of that grill Get into some sauce (BBQ) Get into my belly yum yum, yeah Get outta my mind Get into my life Oooooooooh Oh I said hey (Hey) you (You) Get into my belly (Lyrics - Billy Ocean - Get Into My Car) Pork on a Fork was showcased on Drive-In, Dives, and Diners with Guy Fieri not too long ago. From there they've became a hit and won numerous awards, plus rave reviews both on Yelp and from Foodies around the valley. Needless to say, this place is pretty darn good wouldn't you say! My office is close by so whenever I get a chance I try to hit the Fork. Their Pulled Pork Sandwich is what I would consider the quintessential pulled pork meal. With sides of fingerling potatoes and coleslaw. Good'o boys meal I guess, but man the pork and soft and tender; add some spicy bbq and finger licking good -- YUMMY! Portions here are modest I think so you won't over eat in my opinion. The place itself started in modest fashion. When I first came there was maybe 6 tables max, but now they have an entire huge patio in the back. Let's just after having a meal here you'll need more room - wink! Again, this place is a dive so take the boys out and leave the dating scene out! - Enjoy! read more

My friend and I went to the Deer Valley location. We were greeted by 2 employees who were very nice, we ordered our food and took it back to a cafeteria style room in the back of the serving stations. It was clean, spacious and the TV's were not loud. I need to mention that we went on a Monday afternoon so not a lot of people were there eating. Anyway, the potato salad and beans were good along with the pulled pork sandwich. The sauces were good, too. We had no complaints. Normally, I would go to Dillon's for bbq and potato salad, but, I also like to try new places, too. I will go back as it was a clean establishment. read more

Came here with the wife on a Saturday for lunch. This location is a little hard to find since it is not facing the street. Good thing they had those sailboat advertising thingies out on the road to help guide my stomach. Inside and out are pretty industrial. Lots of concrete and unfinished ceilings to look at while eating. The front section is very small with a tiny seating area. The back section is larger and set up with giant TVs and enough area for several families or large groups. Service was a little confusing. It seemed hard to get answers for what I was asking. Just had a few simple questions. Maybe it was a training day or something. We are not talking rocket science here. Then again it was my first time there also. Maybe I was the one confused. Ha! The wife wanted a 2 pc Combo Plate but they do not offer one. You have to order the Sampler Plate which is 3 Meats and make 2 of the 3 choices the same. What? I ordered the Midwest Monster Sandwich which was rather large and tasty. Both meals came with 2 choices of sides and there are 4 different sauces at the table as well. The food was pretty good but seemed a bit average for Q. The brisket which was the real test for me and seemed dry and not very tender. I would have to guess it may have sat in the warmer a little too long. The Pulled Pork was really good and we saw several other people ordering the Bone in Chicken. Overall they have pretty good food. Still looking for some real TX BBQ or something similar without all the sauces to cover up the flavor of the smoked meats. The meats should stand out on their own and not require much of anything. Maybe I'm just spoiled. Right across from the DV Airport. ROUND THEM UP! 3.75 STARS read more

The Short: A restaurant that boasts having 'The Valley's best BBQ' but only serves up an uninspired, 'meh.' The Pros: - It tastes ...... alright. - The back room dining area is clean, comfy, and features three large-screen TVs. - Orders are brought out pretty fast. The Cons: - Brisket is as dry as the Phoenix desert. - No real smoke flavor or spices. - Customer service is often dismal. - Sides don't complement main dishes. - Majority of meats have a bland mass-produced flavor. The Best Item(s): - Coca-cola - Interesting Fact: BBQs used to be the politician's venue of choice to speak with their constituents. Back in the day, talking with your senator was always accompanied with free food! (Source: BBQ: The History of an American Institution, Robert F. Moss) _____________________________________________________________ The Story: I consider myself a BBQ aficionado. I've feasted at several of America's most cherished BBQ Pits from coast to coast and roast to roast. Congress has passed legislation that requires BBQ festival patrons to address me as 'your majesty.' Cows and pigs are afraid to make eye contact with me! So believe me when I tell you, I know the difference between a good and bad brisket. Because of such, I take it serious when a restaurant claims to have the best BBQ of a particular locale. Unfortunately, more times than not, these claims are a mix of bravado and marketing. Pork on a Fork happens to be an quintessential example of this phenomenon. I've been to this outer-beltway Deer Valley location twice and both times ultimately led to me feeling like Mick Jagger (cause I can't get not satisfaction). The customer service was not just disengaged with the task at hand, but seemed to have no interest in the customer being there at all. I have tried their pork, brisket, and ribs. All three had the same mass-produced bland flavor that was more reminiscent of fast food than it was masterful BBQ. The brisket was the worst offender, possiblely due to the entire top fat cut off before smoking. The end result, regardless of the reason, was a BBQ sandwich that had the same succulence as a bucket of sand. There are bags of charcoal scattered throughout the restaurant, and I'm sure they're actually used, but a disconnect exists somewhere because it's almost impossible to make anything with such promising beginnings this insipid. Pork on a Fork has great reviews overall. I find this mind boggling based on my experience but sometimes that's just how it goes. There's always the possibility they were having a bad day during my visits. Cooking is more of an art than a science. If you're looking for some quick and easy BBQ, stop by. Otherwise it's probably best to go somewhere else. read more

Searching for BBQ, I wasn't expecting much since PHX isn't a BBQ town other than old, fat, retired hogs roasting in the desert. But I had to try Pork on a Fork, if only to say, "This little piggy is going to Pork on a Fork!" The $11 Smokin' Sampler included pulled pork, smoked sausage, and chicken with choice of two sides. The tender pulled pork also came with a warm, soft dinner roll to make yummy mini sliders. The half smoked sausage link was just that - a smoked sausage link without much excitement for texture or exotic flavors. The chicken thigh was lightly basted in sweet BBQ sauce - not my preference, but the baste was light, so it was easily masked with the available BBQ dipping sauces (sweet, vinegar-based North Carolina, mustard, or hot). The delicious mac & cheese had oversized macaroni pasta and was slightly seasoned. The waffle fries were particularly yummy, even worthy of being a standalone snack. WIFI and FREE fountain drink with Yelp check-in when ordering. Great friendly service, as I still got the freebie even though I checked in after ordering, and the staff came out from behind the counter twice to ask how we were doing. The only downside is the indoor location in a boring business park, as I was expecting a small roadside shack with some picnic tables and the smell of smokey BBQ for miles around. But that could be a good thing because this fat little piggy wasn't slowly roasting in the Arizona sun while stuffing his face. OINK OINK. read more
