They have a very large menu! The burger was solid. The fried cod was pretty good and the amount you get was way worth the price. Definitely one of the largest bar grill menus I've seen. I'd go back for sure. read more

We came in on a Thursday and the place was not too busy. The front door and parking lot are not well lit and need more light. The service was just service. We've lived in the area now for 3 years and drive by this place all the time. Its definitely a local bar. It was not particularly welcoming and the food wasn't good enough to bring us back. The BLT was on nicely toasted bread but was mostly lettuce with a piece of tasteless, overcooked bacon on bread with no mayo. Fries tasted like they were made from frozen fries and lacked salt. The margarita was margarita-ish but didn't taste like a true margarita. Service wasn't very attentive and was like they couldn't care less that we were there. read more

Parking lot is not much to look at but power thru and walk thru the front door and into a great ambiance! Rustic feel with a little country vibe. Everyone at the bar was super welcoming and gave us their recommendation after tell them it was my first time in. Drinks are cheap damn they are cold! Come in and enjoy some new friends! Menu was great and hard to read, pretty simple my favorite was turning that menu over and getting to the seafood section, phx is tough to find some good seafood but "Q" did not miss! Amazing scallops seared to perfection crispy on outside with a little bite! See ya soon misty! Secret menu unlocked- ask for your scallops chain style for a little kick on them bad boys read more

First time visiting today. I read on "the facebooks" that this place has the best fish and chips in the valley. That was a bold statement. I was willing to give it a try. If these are the best, I worry about the rest. Now...I will say they were decent, but not great. The portion was good, but the batter was "meh". It needed about 1 minute longer for a golden look. I've had better fries elsewhere. As for the service...great! Ambience? It's a dive bar with a hunting theme. They play good music. The beer was cold. read more

Fish (cod) was rubbery. Walleye was "ok". Green chili was good but $12 for a bowl? Wowza not sure I'll go back.

We went early on a Friday night. Not very busy at all. Filthy dirty, cold food & horrible service. Server was more interested in endlessly standing around shooting the bull with the regulars. Never again. read more

We went in for the Fish Fry on a Friday. The food was great, we got the cowboy corn bites, fish fry, mac and cheese burger and a piece of carrot cake to go. Highly recommend the fish and the burger, the corn bites were perfect in spice and flavor and the piece of cake was massive and delicious. The only think lack luster was the fries, they arent bad just nothing really to them. The location is dark and more on the bar side for atmosphere and theres nothing wrong with that. Service was good and she was booking it all over trying to keep up with the fish fry orders. She was friendly and quick. It was a good experience and I do see us coming back. read more

A bunch of us friends met here for lunch, several of us wanted the walleye fish on their menu. It was pretty good, served with fries and Cole slaw. Our waitress was super friendly and took good care of us. I especially liked that they had a separate room/bar for smokers since I smoke. I would come back here when I'm in the mood for a Sammie or fish. I want to try their cat fish next time. read more

Not the best and not the worst place. Got some wings they were good. Also got the club sandwich. It was good. My sister got a burger. The q sauce looked gross. It was dark inside. We got to pick our seats. They had TVs all around. There was like one server, so took a bit to check back on you. read more

What to say about The Other Q Bar and Grill. Pros: Good amount of parking space outside. Large enough space so you're not cramped. Outside patio area with exterior bar TV's and jukebox. Friendly bartenders super polite and helpful. Food specials each day of the week. Cons: The inside decor could use an update Would be nice for normal happy hours not reverse. Food: I got the Thai wings I would give 7 out of 10. Wings were drowned in sauce and could have been a little more crispy. Coworkers got the Rubin sandwich and fries also fried zucchini. Rubin was a 8.5 zucchini 5.5 zucchini needed to be a little more fresh and fried a little longer for more of a crispy bite. Overall i would give 7.5 for the overall experience we are planing to go back soon. read more

Used to go for the fish fry but at $21 I don't think we can! They need a smaller size or not all you can eat that us smaller eaters can order. read more

Haven't been to the Q for a long while but we decided to make the drive for the fish we remembered so fondly. Fish was OK, didn't like eating out of a basket. Lighting where we sat was a little harsh. Still looking for a fantastic fish dinner experience. Sadly we won't be back. read more

Love it here. Friendly staff, good food and beer. Its not the cleanest but overall good times.

This place is amazing. The fish fry on Friday and Saturday is wonderful. The fish is so juicy! The beer is great and definitely not overly priced. The service was great, our server was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is very friendly as we had multiple people come up to our table and spark random conversations. Laughter fills the air. There's a juke box. Pool tables and fun. The is more yummy food besides fish as well. If you are in the area, The Other Q bar is definitely a spot worth checking out, and you'll for sure be a returning customer! read more

Their reputation for a great fish fry is well founded: light batter and succulent fleshy cod that kept coming via the very attentive server Ethan as I kept eating. The strange thing was that the shapes and darkness of the coating changed with each refill yet they were all good. My friend got the Build a Burger and enjoyed it. I initially had a problem with my discount, but a manager straightened it out. Mother Road draft beer was the perfect accompaniment to the meal and to sip on while looking around at the taxidermied critters and nostalgic items like the model of Budweiser's Clydesdales. read more

Coming to the Q is always very nice, specially when we have the BEST service, like McKenna, Alaina, Roxanne, Mikaela, Tiffany! They are always giving more than 100% of themselfs and always making sure what we need. We can play music, we can smoke at the patio, we can watch the games, we can celebrate our bdays! It is always a blast! The most important thing is that we always want to go back because we have the most amazing service with all this team, thank you all for all you do to have your customers happy read more

Great little neighborhood bat with friendly staff and good food. Nice menu with a good selection of appetizers, burgers , salads, and seafood . The portions and prices are reasonable. The beer is inexpensive. The atmosphere is dark and is a little bit divey. They also have a patio, daily food, and drink specials. Currently, there is a Groupon available to save 40-50 % off and good for food and drinks. read more

Had the fish and chips which was cold. Asked for more, never got it. Left hungry. Maybe it was an off night. This was before lent.

Small hole in the wall local joint. Good prices. Good food. Fun atmosphere. My pork chops were cooked to perfection and delicious. My friend said the French dip was adequate. Cold beer. Good music and sports on TV!! read more

You'd better watch your credit card charge because they pad the credit card charge by $1 for the tip. Multiply that. Hmmmm... They did this to my neighbors and I have been going to this place for 26 year (before the daughter took over after the owner died) and never thought about checking my charges but when I did,...OMG. The only time you can expect decent service is on a Friday night for fish fry night. The other nights are a total sh## show. Watch your charges!!! read more

Won't visit again, went because I'm an old Minnesota boy and I love walleye. Very disappointing, bartenders had no class at all. Walley dinner, plastic silverware, way overpriced and nobody's there. I was there in the afternoon, three people in the whole place...now I no why! read more

The food is great! Always delicious...if you get Misty for a server you will be taken care of. Otherwise you have to wait on yourself.

service sucks yet again. literally 7 people in here...yes, I can be more specific. I'm sitting here, server took my drink order and food order promptly....never came back. Waited 20 minutes for my second beer after putting an empty up on the galf wall next to me. Instead of coming over to see how I'm doing she places the full beer on the wall. Now I'm at over 2 hours here and schedule been to my rabble exactly twice. My first beer ands my wings. read more

Good food but if you want a quick lunch, this is not the place. Hamburgers are big but a little over done. Ordered one medium rare, it was well done. Still pretty good. Make sure you have extra time on your hands. Only one waitress, also working the bar and the cook. That's it. We were able to talk, not noisy so that was a plus. read more

If I could put zero stars I would. I recently discover this place and thought it was a cool hole in the wall. The fish fry is excellent if you can live long enough to be waited on. The restaurant is normally wait to be seated on a Friday, but today, after waiting over 5 minutes at the hostess station, we were told seat ourselves. No signage told us that. Next, we waited over 20 minutes to be waited on. Sever came by us 3 times, never acknowledged us. She just paid attention to the people she was waiting on already. No, the place wasn't packed either. After going here pretty regular on Fridays for the past several years, We are done. read more

The Best thing about this place is their food. The Quality and Portion sizes have never failed to amaze us. And the Friday night fish fry is a Grand tradition in the area. Fresh, Quality fish that is cooked to perfection and generously dished out. The problem is still, and always has been, the Service staff. It's either a lack of experience, or a new generation of Servers that put their own interests first. There is always the Owner doing damage control, Bless her heart, but the Greatness of the food and atmosphere here are tainted by the consistent bad waitressing. We will continue to come back, but we understand that these young servers will wait on the Cute Young Guys table first, before others. But Honestly, the food IS WORTH the wait. read more

Stopped in to try the fried scallops and ended up getting that plus, BLT and husband got the fried catfish and carrot cake. Could not have been happier. It is a bar so we thought it would be the typical bar food. NOPE! It was NOT greasy, cooked PERFECT and absolutely delicious!! This place was very clean! We watched them clean after a couple left and they were meticulous. They offered a military discount and even without the discount was still reasonably priced! The portions are so large we had lots of leftovers. I hesitated leaving a review because I don't want this gem to get packed for my own selfish reason LOL but thought that's not fair! Trust you will NOT be disappointed! Other regulars and patrons were so friendly struck up a little convo with us. GREAT LITTLE HANG OUT with amazing food! read more

This is a good place for fish fry on Friday evenings, and a nice place to watch a baseball or football game on T.V.

This is a kind of hole in the wall restaurant , bar and grill. The service is good and the prices are affordable. I had the chicken Fried chicken special, and it was very tender and delicious.. everyone around me was eating the fish fry and said it was wonderful. There are zero windows in this place so it is very much a hole in the wall. That is the only reason I'm giving it one star off. read more

Great dive bar and excellent service. Came in for lunch on a Sunday, sat at the bar and Wendy took excellent care of us. Pours a great drink and answered all of our questions about the menu since we hadn't been in before. Decided on the Julie's Chicken Sandwich which was good and to the point. Also ordered the Sonoran Dog. Holy smokes! Size matters and this did not disappoint. When The Q says foot long all beef they are delivering every delicious thick juicy inch wrapped in bacon. It will definitely fill you full! Bring a girlfriend to share. There's more than enough of this to satisfy you both! We will be back! read more
