We came in on a Thursday and the place was not too busy. The front door and parking lot are not well lit and need more light. The service was just service. We've lived in the area now for 3 years and drive by this place all the time. Its definitely a local bar. It was not particularly welcoming and the food wasn't good enough to bring us back. The BLT was on nicely toasted bread but was mostly lettuce with a piece of tasteless, overcooked bacon on bread with no mayo. Fries tasted like they were made from frozen fries and lacked salt. First time visiting today. I read on "the facebooks" that this place has the best fish and chips in the valley. That was a bold statement. I was willing to give it a try. If these are the best, I worry about the rest. Now...I will say they were decent, but not great. The portion was good, but the batter was "meh". It needed about 1 minute longer for a golden look. The only think lack luster was the fries, they arent bad just nothing really to them. The location is dark and more on the bar side for atmosphere and theres nothing wrong with that. What to say about The Other Q Bar and Grill. Pros: Good amount of parking space outside. Large enough space so you're not cramped. Outside patio area with exterior bar TV's and jukebox. Friendly bartenders super polite and helpful. Food specials each day of the week. Cons: The inside decor could use an update Would be nice for normal happy hours not reverse. Food: I got the Thai wings I would give 7 out of 10. Wings were drowned in sauce and could have been a little more crispy. Coworkers got the Rubin sandwich and fries also fried zucchini. Rubin was a 8.5 zucchini 5.5 zucchini needed to be a little more fresh and fried a little longer for more of a crispy bite. The strange thing was that the shapes and darkness of the coating changed with each refill yet they were all good. My friend got the Build a Burger and enjoyed it. The restaurant is normally wait to be seated on a Friday, but today, after waiting over 5 minutes at the hostess station, we were told seat ourselves. No signage told us that.
