You don't come here expecting to be wowed but it's a good atmosphere that won't beat you over the head at the end of the night. Service is still bad, and this place is less of a bar these days and more of a Chuck-E-Cheese. I get being family friendly. But if you're bringing your kids, you gotta watch them. We had a kid running around the pool tables area, having to dodge him every time we wanted to make a shot. And then the little kid came up to our table, locked eyes with us, and starting moving our balls. I had to audibly correct him, and finally, FINALLY his parents paid attention to him! It's almost like, if you bring a child to a bar-like establishment, you need to supervise them *eyeroll* And what's even worse, was the manager decided he wanted to end our game prematurely! We sat down for 2 mins to eat the chicken wings we ordered, and were rudely stopped from continuing our game. I saw what he was doing with like 2 balls left to ask him to stop since we took a quick break to eat. He rubbed it off, and only after I walked alongside him back toward the bar to wash the hot sauce off my hands did he acknowledge me and say "I'll get you a free game." We specifically went for the Friday all you can eat Fish Fry, looking for another place to try. Service was quick at 2 p.m., not crowded. Comfortable place. Unfortunately we were not happy with the quality of the entire meal. Cole slaw had no taste, no dressing to it, don't know what used for dressing, no look of mayo or taste of it, very plain, lacking flavor. Tartar sauce was a commercial one, right out of the jug, and it tasted like it, not fresh made. The fish was itself was very mushy, not flakey, seemed previously frozen although waitress said was fresh. Very thin pieces, none were thick, appeared overdone, breading dark and way too long in the frier as in the pic. We chose the garlic fries and were also served overly greasy. They state all you can eat Fish Fry, BUT that is only for the fish, no second on fries or cole slaw, just an FYI. Strange as not as costly as endless fish, but if you advertise all you can eat, then include the fries/slaw. Great fish fry, fridays and then tuesday.They have Great $2.50 fish tacos. My friends and I are all poker players, but we've been coming here for ten years since poker stopped. Went on a Thursday around 5:45. Four adults, two teenagers celebrating the last official day of senior year. It's seat yourself. The bar is broken into two sides. Bar/ table side and pool tables / booth side. We sat in the corner on the bar side. Waitress came over fairly quickly for drink order. Took forever to get sodas and water. She said she'd be back for our food order. 20 minutes later our food order taken. Music is fairly loud, but then again it's a bar. By now sodas have run dry and our waitress is non existent. A gentleman, I assume the cook brings out our food. Five burgers, one order of honey hot wings, one pickle fries. We had no utensils or napkins. No drinks. The gentleman brought ranch and fore mentioned items. We finally went to the bar to get drink refills. Was told the waitress would be over shortly. My patty melt was very good. Four stars. Garlic fries initially had great flavor, crispy, hot, but after about 10 fries the garlic taste started to become overwhelming. Finally get our drink refills and ask for two boxes for leftovers. Long story short, it should not take 2.5 hours for bar food. Food was above average and would definitely dine again. The service...as a person she was fine but it was lacking, really lacking. When we left there was only four tables occupied. Step up your game girl. If you are busy just apologize for the delays. read more

I've been here several times for the Friday all you can eat fish fry. I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place before. I was shocked to read some bad reviews recently, and that actually prompted me to come back and give it a try again. It's a sports bar. There's always bikes parked outside, but I wouldn't call it a biker bar. It's classier than that... This time in here the service was excellent. Depending on how busy it is, getting refills of fish can be can take a little time, but this time it was perfect. For $15.50, the fish fry is a great deal. Honestly, it's probably my favorite fried fish place in the valley. If you're reading this and know of a better place, I would really love to hear about it. read more

Overall, daddy O's has been good to us. We've lived in the area about 3 years and been about a dozen times. I highly recommend going when it's not busy. They are way understaffed and it can take a while to get anyone's attention to get a table, a menu, or anything else when it's busy. We had 2 waitresses that disappeared for half the night on a game night when it was busy, but on slow nights they are always very fast and attentive. Food can also take a WHILE even for basics, so patience is key so don't show up hungry- again probably due to kitchen understaffing. But the vibe is 100% there, the food is generally always good- shout out to their pretzel and plastic cheese (the best kind) appetizer. And they have pool tables which seem to be going the way of the dinosaur with all of our favorite haunts turning into yuppie bars - looking at you Il Asilo, shame on you for selling out! We will always come back to daddy o's but avoid game nights. read more

Food used to be so good here but sadly, it's slipping. My last order of fried fish was a letdown. The 2 fillets were so small; it would've been fine for a kids meal. But you see, it was a full priced dinner. And the garlic fries hardly had a garlic flavor. The cole slaw was 100% void of any flavor; zero seasoning. JJust slaw with too much white, tasteless dressing. They could do with some QC in the kitchen bcuz sometimes the food here is AMAZING, other days the same plate is from another universe (not a good universe, either). Service comes with a smile. Stopped in here on the 4th of July with my family to enjoy some lunch. We ordered the Green Chili Burger, Turkey & Bacon sammich, French Dip, and the Strawberry French Toast. The burger was a little on the small side and really didn't have much flavor. Same with the French Dip and Turkey sammich. None of the food was spectacular in any way, except for the Strawberry French Toast - which looked and tasted amazing. Our server Nikki was great, too. Very energetic and she was short-handed and running around getting work DONE. She was the only reason for the 3 stars. The bar had some very rowdy patrons. Drop by this place for lunch. They are located at the south east corner of 43rd Avenue and Thunderbird road. Think I should have stopped at the Habit instead. The tooth Chris was fine as an appetizer but I think it's pretty hard to screw up a cheese crisp although it can be done. Unfortunately the main course are hyped shortly thereafter. The hamburger tasted like a piece of meat that was dipped in some type of wine sauce and thrown on a grill. It was really moist with no Char or crisp in it and even made the bun damp. The garlic fries were well garlicky and I dealt with them with a generous helping of ketchup. I think the fries is more like a niche thing if you like garlic fries. I came here for the first time with my mom. I wanted to try it out since I just moved into a house down the road. I cannot tell you how disappointed I was with the entire experience. We first walked in and wasn't sure if we sat ourselves or waited to be seated. We ended up just seating ourselves because no one came up to us. We sat down and it took a good twenty minutes for someone to come up to us to even say hi. We finally got waters and menus and then it took another 30 minutes for our server, Stephanie, to even take our drink and food orders. She ended up taking them but she didn't even enter half the order. I ended up having to go up to the bar to see if someone else could help us to get our drinks. Another server ended up taking our table over at that point and brought us out my moms meal and my side dish to go with my main meal, but my main meal was no where to be found because of course, Stephanie never entered it. Luckily the other server went back to the kitchen to have them make it on the fly. I have never experienced such terrible service in my life honestly. Stephanie didn't even seem to care which makes it even harder to leave any sort of good review about this place. The food was also nothing special. I ordered the chicken Caesar wrap, the meal they had to make on the fly, and you can tell it was made in 5 seconds and it was very sloppy and dry. My mom ordered wings that were only half coated in the sauce. I am disappointed that a place that is so convenient to my new home is a place I won't ever want to visit again. read more

On a Friday night it was really packed of bikers so trying to enter the restaurant was like battling a cloud of cigarette smoke. We ordered 5 minutes after we sat down. Waiting for the food took over 30 minutes at least. The server kept avoiding our table and eventually when the second order of fish came out 25 minutes after the first it was delivered by the manager. No apology, then the server came right over as if she wasn't ignoring our table. Overall food was good and crispy. This has got to be one of my favorite restaurants! I love the food! I usually come here with my husband and other family members and I have brought several other family members even some from out of town! My favorite part is they are not a chain restaurant! I don't know who owns it but whatever they're doing works! It really has the "neighborhood bar" feeling of like cheers! Ok, maybe they don't know my name but hanging out here feels very comfortable!
