My brother saw their Facebook page and thought we should have lunch at their deli in Phoenix. We brought our friend along and made it a threesome. My brother and I had the Robert's Special (Roast Beef, Pastrami, Provolone Cheese, Tomato, Mayo & Onion, Served Hot). My friend had the George's Special (Ham, Capicolla, Salami, Mortadella, Pepperoni, Provolone, and Hot Peppers or Sweet Peppers). The consensus was unanimous. The bread is great. The meat was too! To finish off our meal we all had a Cannoli. Magnifico. The crunchy shell was dusted with powdered sugar and the filling was sweet and creamy. There is an array of Sandwiches, entrees, soups , and specials. Same for the bakery. A sweet list of cakes, cookies etc. Parking can be a problem. Not enough spaces to park. I suggest you have your lunch earlier than noon. Tables will be full at that time. Looking forward to trying something different on my next visit.

There were eight of us in total who had a sub, and none of us were unhappy with our sandwich. I would stop by again if I were in the area to grab a bite to eat and take a look at everything in the shop again.

This Bar is a great place to go to but the Owner has the last word on who he will let in the bar. When some regulars say don't let in this person he won't let that person in, but if those regulars let the bar permitted and if that person they say to '86' the Owner will not let back in no matter if others would like the person to come back! When we arrived, one of the waitresses was handling a situation with two gentlemen who felt they were billed incorrectly. While I understand that needed attention, at no point were we acknowledged--not even a quick "I'll be right with you." That small moment of acknowledgment goes a long way, and when it's missing, it can cost you customers. After waiting without any recognition, my husband and I decided to leave. I truly hope they improve in the future because this place could be a great local bar if they focus on something simple but important, acknowledging their customers, especially their neighbors.

Bartenders (Jenny & Jim, I think?) were not just a pleasure to be served by, but they can hop on the mic and sing some mean karaoke. The patio is where this place really shines. In the summer, it's cooled with a perpetual shroud of mist, so that I can get some fresh air without burning up. This is where the sports watching happens at high volume. It's fully enclosed in a giant gate, which adds to a feel of exclusivity. Some of you might be a little skeptical of the location, but I have to point out...they probably couldn't afford some of the homes lined with palm trees just a stone's throw north. Venture out of the usual strip-mall part of Glendale, and get in on this up-and-coming part of town.

"Why am I having a euphoric experience inhaling secondhand smoke in 2026?" fun. I didn't get to check out the bathroom, which honestly might be a blessing or a missed adventure.... unclear. But everything else? Chef's kiss. Friends french fries were fresh and hot... and actual potato as far as we could tell... double kiss. Dive-bar perfection. If you want sterile, curated, Instagrammable vibes: run. If you want to scream-laugh, smell like nostalgia and cigarettes for three days, and hear music older than some of the patrons? This place is your destiny. Will I be back? Absolutely. Probably with eyeliner smudged like a raccoon and ready to request karaoke songs that don't exist there.
