We have a saltwater pool and as you know, does not play well with the metal rebar. Both times they have come out fast, with no fuss and fixed it. The spots they have fixed have not been any issue afterwards. Our pool Project Manager was knowlegable and straight to the point, which I appreciate. Joe the owner is friendly and has always answered my questions, and believe me when I say I've had many. Having heard nothing but horror stories about pool refinishing companies, we approached the whole enterprise with fear and trepidation. On asking around the neighborhood, the name of Jim Briscoe at Boulder Pools kept coming up as the guy to call. So we met with him. One of the first things he did was to take us around to several pools in the neighborhood he had recently refinished or was in the process of working on. Not only was the work he did amazing, but the relationships he obviously had with the people he had worked for quickly convinced up he was the guy we wanted refinishing our pool. It was a complex job, because we were also extending a patio area, refinishing the entire pool, and refinishing the decking around the pool. Each of these jobs was being done by a different company, and Jim coordinated all of it so smoothly an experience we were dreading became instead a pleasure. The new coping Boulder installed looks great, and his crew blended their work in with an existing waterfall feature seamlessly. He gave us just the look we were going for. Our first issue was Cody Pools took 6 months to complete a job they bid at 3 weeks! Our second issues was with the final invoice, when Cody Pools billed for work that was not done! Using emails, where the PM acknowledged work had not been completed, We (The HOA Board) attempted to work with Cody Pools for an invoice that reflected work completed. To which Cody Pools threatened to file a lien against the property! Yes, when faced with written acknowledgement by a Cody Pools Project Manager, the company opted to use strong arm tactics, over adjusting the invoice for payment of work completed! On top of the unethical billing, within a month of completion the pool lighting had stopped working, yet Cody Pools refused to even visit and confirm the light failures. Due to poor ethical business practices, high pricing, and shoddy work; I wouldn't trust or recommend Cody Pools.

Out of the 5 companies I submitted a request to, they were the 2nd ones I reached out to but the last ones to reach out back to me (excluding the auto-generated "thank you" text which the other pool companies sent as well). Lisa from the office called me Wednesday at 5:38 PM and said she could have a tech come out the next day to give me a quote. Jose came out Thursday around noon. He was super nice and professional. He said he would get me 3 different quotes for the 3 type of packages they offer by the end of the day or the next day (Friday) in the morning at the latest. By Friday at 4:25 PM, I had yet to receive anything so I called and spoke to Lisa and she said they'll send it over shortly. They sent 2 quotes (not 3) at 4:40 PM. Monday morning at 10 AM, I called to discuss the quotes for further clarification, especially since the links weren't working. Lisa said she's going to call Jose and call me right back. She never did. Tuesday morning at 8:28 AM, almost a week after I had initially reached out, I called saying they never called me back and asked to speak to a manager. She put me on the phone with Jose and he was a totally different person than the guy that came out to the house. He kept interrupting me and talking over me. He was rude saying I didn't know anything about pools (that might be true but this is not my first house with a pool and that's not something you'd say to a prospective client), and making excuses for their lack of responsiveness. If they're this bad when they're trying to earn my business, I can't imagine how bad they are once they do earn it. Reading some of their other reviews, I should've just never reached out to begin with. TLDR: Unresponsive, unprofessional/rude, overpromise/underdeliver.
