During my last trip to San Jose, I found myself craving poke and decided to walk to Poki Run. For those who know me, let's be honest--when am I not craving for poke, right? Lol I've only tried a handful of poke spots in CA and have liked all of them so far. Poki Run did not disappoint! The different sizes: Regular (3 Scoops) = $10.95 Large (5 Scoops) = $13.95 They also have combo sushi rolls as well! For their bases--they offer black rice in addition to the standard sushi rice, brown rice and salad. For their proteins--they offer 10 different proteins which in my opinion is ALOT. Ahi Tuna, Spicy Tuna, Salmon, Izumi-Tai, Tofu, Spicy Crab, Shrimp, Spicy Shrimp, Albacore and Yellowtail. Whew. For their toppings--ONE SCOOP OF EACH IS INCLUDED. YESSS! I love seeing that. It sort of bugs me when everything is extra (i.e. avocado, seaweed salad or crab). Overall, I'd definitely be back next time I find myself in the Bay Area :) read more

Saw amazing reviews for this place and was really excited to try this place. While the fish was really fresh, portions were really small it cost $15+ for 3 choices of fish. The extra scoop of avocado was also incredibly small :( Interior of the restaurant was very clean but empty. read more

Poke Run is in in the corner of the Beresford Square Shopping Center in Milpitas. There is a shared parking lot as well. For a regular (three scoops of protein) is almost $16, while a large (two scoops of protein) is almost $20. I feel like the poke bowl size was not worth the price point. Not much service, I felt kind of rushed as well. I ordered the regular bowl: half brown rice and half salad for my base; three scoops of salmon for my protein; no sauce; corn, crab, cucumber, edamame, green onions, masago, and seaweed salad for my toppings; spicy mayo for my dressing on the side; and no dry toppings. The bowl overall was good, but I feel like the salmon was not fresh at all and it was kind of expensive for what I am paying for. read more

I really like this poke place. Its a little hole in the wall and next to milk tea making it convienent. 1. Different fish selections than most places. 2. Fresh and good quality fish. 3. Different sauce for the top like mango and blueberry 4. Not a huge amount, like its not packed in and falling over the side of the bowl and youre like "oh no, i only brought enough napkins for myself to be kinda messy" but with each bite more falls out and you start panicking what to do and just kinda scrape it into the bowl after so the people around you dont judge you. So its good for one meal without overeating read more

My all time favorite poke spot in the Bay Area! I've tried a lot of poke places in the bay, and while they are different from the ones you find in Hawaii, this one comes pretty close if you want fresh fish and yummy toppings :) They're pretty generous with the amount they give you, and all the sauces make it extra flavorful and delicious. Highly recommend this place for fast service and great poke read more

Delicious food. I ordered online & just picked up in store. It said it'll be ready in 30 min & I got there way before time and it was already waiting for me when I arrived. Employees were nice & friendly, greeted upon arrival & all were wearing gloves while handling food. For the food, it tasted fresh, good flavor & not bad as far as prices went. For this I paid $17.39 with taxes. I'd recommend if you have a poke craving. Note: I wish they had more topping choices. read more

TL:DR - take your money and go elsewhere. I haven't been here in a while but it's close to my apartment and their sauces are delicious. The seafood has always been fresh HOWEVER skimpflation has taken over at this restaurant, y'all. I understand restaurants are struggling to but the portion sizes are so tiny! This is completely unacceptable for the price. They are using a #16 scoop for their portions but could have used tweezers. Also the size of the bowls are smaller - don't think it wasn't noticed Management! I had to spend more money to get food a couple hours later. So disappointed with this place now. Go elsewhere to get more for your hard earned money. read more

This place has a funky smell but boy do their bowls look good. Who knew that a poke place was located next to a dead end Orchard Supply store? Let me start of by saying that the place is really clean. The cute cactus and jade plants make the place look welcoming. The friendly demeanor of the owners and employees make me feel like I'm walking into a family members home haha. My sister dragged me here and insisted on getting bowls for dinner. The fish and toppings look fresh. Not to mention their portions... they're huge! You basically get unlimited toppings with your source of protein, so who wouldn't take advantage of that? My favs? Salmon, shrimp, crab salad, spinach, corn, seaweed, beans, a whole lot of spice! The bowl itself costs ~$15, which to say is pretty expensive for a bowl but hey, it was pretty good. It's a nice addition to Milpitas. So yeah, if you're on the run, go to Poki Run! read more

I love this place. The raw fish are always fresh and good tasting. They have a lot of selections too. The employees are very nice and they all greet you as soon as you walk in the door. They prepare your order very fast so if you are in a hurry then this place is for you. read more

Great poke place! Picked up 3 bowls for my family, and was able to get in and out pretty quickly. Best restaurant in this plaza (including the restaurants across the street). Small clean, little shop, but unfortunately cannot dine-in at the moment due to Shelter-in-Place. What makes this place so great is that the fish is fresh and they have a good selection of toppings. There isn't really much fuss nor do they have weird unorthodox ingredients-- just good ol' poke. A big plus is that they don't charge extra for certain toppings, like avocado or seaweed salad, which are usually seen in other places as premium. I usually go for the spicy sauce for my mix and it tastes really good. I also really like their spicy crab mix and their sushi rice is flavored perfectly. No complaints and can't wait to come back again! read more

This is a smaller restaurant but clean and actually very busy. I don't usually go out for poke anymore as it seems to be getting more expensive with less ingredients. My classmates had suggested we try this place out because of the amount of toppings you can add that are free! So I decided to give it a try. The staff were friendly and they are quick. They explained everything we needed to know on how to order our poke bowls. There were quite a few options for rice which I thought was great, especially for those who are trying to go more healthy. I was also impressed that the toppings they served were actually things I love and would be charged for at other places. For example, fresh avocado slices were free...I mean who does that anymore. The selection of seafood they had were equally amazing. They were fresh and the spices added onto the mixed seafood were perfect. Not too overwhelming at all. Here is what I had: 2 item sushi rice bowl: salmon and tuna for the items. My toppings were: spicy crab, edamame, fresh avocado, roe, seaweed, corn, regular crab, fresh salad, crispy thin wonton sticks, furukaki, and their special sauce. There was more but I couldn't even finish it all, there was so much. I would definitely recommend this place and go back again! read more

pls don't kill me but i've never had poke before..,and this place makes me regret that!!! i don't particularly like raw fish but this place had a few non-raw options (i got tofu/ shrimp/ crab) in terms of covid safety, this place does an amazing job! they spaced out their store to reduce contact as well as limit capacity to 6 people. i was served by Lisa (super friendly) and she nailed the sauce ratio 10/10. the ingredients were super fresh as well! read more

Literally drove over 10 min before closing hoping they would still have some fresh fish, and they did! Walked in and was greeted right away. Jay helped me pick out different fish options and sauces without sugar. He didn't rush me, even though they were literally closing. Jay's customer service is A++. This is my go to spot for a great poke bowl. The staff there helps to customize your order to your exact specifications. All of the ingredients are fresh and very tasty. I've been here twice--the first time was when I was in a rush between errands and needed something quick to eat. I didn't get all the add ones as I could have and left feeling like it was a pretty average place. Went back recently with my coworker and her son who told me to get the roll combo. That was a great decision as their California rolls are super yummy. The poke fish was fresh tasting and their black rice was perfectly cooked. I got the free scoop of seaweed salad, avocado, and crab salad to round out everything. The combo is definitely more than enough for one as I was super full at the end. read more

Have been to a few poké places around the bay and even in Sac, but this one is by far the BEST! 10/10 - Always clean, fresh fish, clean smell, consistent, employees are so nice, and the food is so good! They also have a location in Fremont! I love how the portions are healthy and the food quality is up there. Don't worry about parking, there's a ton! Also never have to wait long at all every time I'm able to get my food in a few minutes. If you need a go to poké place, want to try something new, or want a place that won't let you down, this is it! Poké Run you've won my stomach and heart over!!!! I love that they do not charge extra for avocado, seaweed salad, & crab meat! Yesss all of my faves are FREE in one bowl!! WIN I like masago too but it's extra...if this was free I think I would like this place more. Lol. But that would mean they are losing money so-... They charge extra ($1.50?) I think. Too bad I'm too cheap to pay extra... The reason I am taking away 2 stars is because I got the salmon and boy was the cuts so small... not even the size of a quarter like some poké places... the cut here seems to be like the size of a nickel. I asked for 2 FULL scoops of salmon but it seemed like 1.5 scoops.. GIRL, I'm watching you... hmm idk it seemed like they were kinda skimpy. Not cool. My 3rd scoop was spicy tuna and I thought it tasted good. There is not much variety of toppings & sauces to choose from. And I didn't really like the "sushi" rice here... it just didn't taste right. Can't explain it. Could be better. Not the best, but not the worst poké place that I've been to. read more

One of my go to poki places! Love their toppings, and love their sauces! Everything just comes together as a perfect mix! It's also not overpriced like a lot of other places, and they are super generous with the serving sizes too. I've been here at least once a week for more than a month now, and they are extremely consistent. I appreciate that everything always tastes super fresh and clean. The avocado and seaweed salad is also free of charge!! WHOOO If you haven't yet, definitely check this place out! read more

This poke is the real deal. So good. I don't like a lot of poke places in the bay because they don't use good quality fish, or they aren't authentic. Well, this poke's fish tasted very fresh when I got it. So delicious. They don't use a million sauces to mask the fact that the fish is bad quality - well, because the fish is GOOD! A small comes with 3 proteins which is quite generous. I love this place. Definitely would come again. My order and my 2 friends' orders were all spectacular. We got the california roll combo, you get a cali roll + small poke. Very worth. This is my new go-to place for poke! read more

Came here for lunch with my colleague but end up taking order to go. No place to sit. Lol. Good business. There was a good sized line that lead out the door. We got the 5 protein option with sushi rice, greens and 3 salmon and 2 tuna. Got all the toppings and wasabi dressing. Wasabi dressing didn't taste like wasabi at all. Actually more like sweet mayonnaise, lol. It's all good tho. I will let them know the next time I visit. (You know I will go back :) ). The order is definitely delicious. A little bit pricier that other places for the fish you get. The scooper seems small. But overall, pretty good. I recommend this place. read more

Second time at trying Poki. I've got to say that the ingredients were supper fresh and delicious. I got brown rice mixed with salad mix. You choose your protein - mine were ahi tuna-fresh-no fishy taste, shrimp, and spicy crab (imitation). They take the fresh raw fish and mix it with your choice of sauce (spicy,original) tossed with some pickles. Then you pick your other toppings (wasabi, edamame, avocado, crab, and many more.) I picked everything with spicy mayo. It was DELICIOUS!!! I just got a small bowl but it was enough to fill me up. With left over. Will come back again to try other choices. Ordered the regular bowl with 3 scoops of protein which was $10.95 (a reasonable price compared to other poki locations). It was hard understanding the lady, but she was very nice. Regular Bowl -Sushi rice -3 protein: Salmon, Yellow tail, & Izumi tai -Toppings: Seaweed salad (Free and no extra charge!), Fish eggs, and Sesame seeds. -Sauce: The whole mayo shabang! I'll definitely be back for more to get the large bowl this time. read more

Swung by for a quick dinner with friends, and was pleasantly surprised with this poki shop. It was spacious and bright, really inviting. Most poki spots don't have much seating, but plenty of seating here. Lots of drinks options, and lemon infused water for customers. Got a regular bowl with sushi rice, tuna, izuma tai (snapper) which is something I don't see often, and yellowtail. Added all the toppings except ginger and wasabi, love how avocado and seaweed salad are free. Enjoyed my bowl a lot, and for the price, it was reasonable compared to other poki places. Will be back when I'm in the area. read more

Good place for poke. I like that some toppings like avocado and seaweed salad are not upcharges. They have a good variety of bases like sushi, black, or brown rice and salad. Seems like portions are a bit smaller than they used to be. Probably due to costs. It's still a good size, but not quite as filling. They probably could have put more rice as filler even. Even with that, I like the variety they have and their sauce is tasty. It's a place I like to go for lunch from time to time. read more

I got a large bowl with tuna, salmon, spicy shrimp, spicy crab, and shrimp, plus every topping available, and the house and spicy sauces mixed. It came out to about $16 which isn't bad considering the amount of food I had requested. It tasted great and I like how they include a touch of wasabi and ginger. In terms of quality, I would say this is one of the higher end poké places I've eaten at and I would highly recommend it. The service was quick and accommodating. read more

This place came highly recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint! We stopped by after walking at a nearby trail. The workers were really nice and helpful, which makes a difference! I love that they have so many options for fish and toppings. I got a regular bowl ($13 with tax) 2 scoops of salmon and a scoop of the izumi tai, which I haven't seen in other poke places. I also got their house sauce and their spicy sauce. Both were good but I think next time I could use a little bit more sauce. I love that they give avocado and seaweed salad which is usually an extra charge at other places. They also have other sauces you can choose to top your bowl with! Overall, everything tasted great and the options were endless. Also, they have cute paintings out front! read more

The waiter was pretty patience with us as we brought an elderly guest with us at the table so we took a little longer to enjoy our meal. The interior design of the restaurant is pretty interesting where the booth is align an triangular shape with a center piece so the tables can be put together for larger parties very easily. Definitely easier to get a table for parties of 4 or less but it will work out for larger parties as well.
