Came for some rolls cause we weren't too hungry for dinner and it turned out great. They have some rolls that were 50% off but for dine in only. A good deal! So we just got three rolls and and a miso soup. The miso soup was pretty on point. The place was pretty roomy and nice. The service was good. I heard folks hang with the sushi chef, saying they have been here with the chef for many years, so good to know they have many repeat customers as it was my first time here. I'll come again to try there other food items.

Dined here with my niece during a break from a tufting class a couple doors down. Great option of rolls, sashimi and bentos. Enjoyed and shared the 2-item bento ($17): beef teriyaki and CA Roll, Crunch Roll and Spider Roll. Niece didn't like the beef teriyaki as she's used to really sweet and smothered sauce to which I prefer less so it was prefect. Tender, flavorful and a generous amount for lunch. Specialty rolls were delicious, fresh with the rice nicely seasoned. Service friendly and efficient. Would return if in the area. Plenty of shared lot parking. If you're looking for a yummy spot in the plaza, stop by Tokyo Sushi.

Very happy visiting this location on a weekday! They have a great deal on their rolls from Monday-Thursday all day which each roll is 50% off, so we saved so much money. We were a party of 5 and we sat down immediately around 11:30 am! Service was great, prompt, and attentive. We ordered about 7 rolls: Manila Roll Apple House Ultimate Shrimp Crispy Sandwich Flying Dragon Roll Sweet Crispy Super Crunch All of them were so good! Very strong flavors, great quantity of sauce on each one. The rice was overcooked for some, and some of the deep fried rolls were very oily. Nonetheless, great sushi + great service = great experience

Meh. Only star reduced for zero WiFi. We usually sit at sushi bar and there's no service. Food is steady and service is good. Consider a public WiFi maybe.

Still consistently good on their sushi rolls. Great service and feels w/ the music and traditional decor.

We came here for a sushi date night on a Friday. It was super busy! The parking lot was big but always full at this plaza. We ordered two orders of Sushi moriawase B Combo!! The food took forever because there were so many people but the food was amazing!! Each bite is fresh and delicious!! Highly recommend this place for date nights if you're craving sushi.

We ended up spending almost two hours at lunch--not because we were enjoying ourselves, but because the food came out incredibly slow. It would've been appreciated if the waitress had let us know there was a delay due to the kitchen being short-staffed. We were a party of seven and ordered two three-item bento boxes, three sushi rolls, and a sashimi plate. The bento boxes arrived in about 20 minutes, and thankfully we were sharing, because the rest of the food took much longer. We had already finished the bento boxes by the time the next items arrived. Two sushi rolls came out about 20 minutes later, followed by the last roll. The sashimi plate didn't show up until over an hour into the meal--by then, we were already full. The food and service were just okay. Nothing really stood out, and overall, it didn't leave a strong enough impression for me to want to return.

Tokyo Sushi delivers an excellent sushi dining experience with good value. Their 50% off promotion now runs all week including Fridays and weekends. The service is warm and attentive. My family and I ordered a variety of rolls Spider Roll (normal price roll) Lion King Tuna Twister Blue Ocean Green Dragon Manila New York New York Every roll was fresh, flavorful and beautiful presented. The consistency was solid. The rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned, same with the shrimp, and the balance of ingredients in each roll was delicious. Plus, the food came out fast. Overall, Tokyo Sushi combines great taste, speedy service and exceptional value. We'll definitely be coming back for more.

Best sushi spot in San Jose. Every roll is amazing--honestly all of them are too good. The staff is welcoming, and the restaurant is very clean with a nice atmosphere. Definitely one of my favorite places for sushi in SJ.

I had a great dinner here, one of my family's regular spots. We were a party of 9 and received great service. Some of our group ordered Bento Boxes and some ordered Sushi Rolls and everything was delicious. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Sushi is fresh, with lots of choices. Parking was easy and prices were fair. I will definitely be back.

Good location, with plenty parking. Interior is simple, typical Japanese restaurant style. Prices are good, and servers are nice. The food was okay, nothing really special, the teriyaki chicken was good but the tempura batter was soggy and chewy reminded me of mochi texture. Nice presentation tho, still will come back but for the teriyaki chicken.

Sushi heaven at a local gem, serving up authentic Japanese flavors for over 20 years! Sail away to flavor paradise with Tokyo Sushi's boat special! This is the biggest sushi boat I've ever seen. This standout features an array of chef-selected sashimi, nigiri, and rolls. Enjoy thick, succulent cuts of salmon, albacore, and tuna that melt in your mouth, each piece fresher than the last. Get ready to feast your eyes and taste buds! Tokyo sushi is known for their wide variety of sushi rolls and I had to try a few: Dragon Roll: a taste sensation with shrimp tempura, cucumber, and crab inside, beautifully topped with unagi, avocado, ebi, fish roe, and a drizzle of unagi sauce. Andy's Roll: spices things up with spicy tuna and cucumber, crowned with albacore and crispy fried onions, all tied together with a special sauce. Sushi Boy Roll: combines spicy crab and cucumber inside, elegantly topped with salmon, avocado, fish roe, and sauce. For those who prefer a variety, the Sushi Moriawase offers beautifully plated nigiri on a wooden pedestal alongside fresh cuts of sashimi, providing a traditional and immersive dining experience. Bento Box Delight: This is perfect for those who love to try a few cooked items. I chose a 3 item combination of beef teriyaki, mixed tempura and maki. Plus, assorted appetizers like grilled squid and chicken karaage- perfect for those who want a bit of everything! Dive into the deep sea of flavors at Tokyo Sushi, and indulge in a casual sushi experience that's as visually stunning as it is delicious. Service/ food did take a while, as we ordered many items and they were packed on a Sunday night.

Yes there Sushi bar is open for sit down

Is this place even open? I called them and they didn't pick up.

It depends on what time you called them. You can check their business hours. They probably updated their business hours but it would be best to always check the business hours.

Forgot to take photos of the Sake Don, Chirashi and Sashimi plates, only remembered taking photo of the first roll order that came out. The roll was just ok. The rice was a bit too soft, more like rice cake. Considering the sauces that were on that roll, it was fairly bland. The fish slices were thick and fresh enough to not have strong fishy aftertaste even though we had quite a lot of them. The chirashi bowl and sashimi plate came with the same exact fish selection: salmon, tuna, yellowtail, albacore/white tuna (I think), mackerel, and escolar. Yes, this place is one of those that has escolar. It didn't register in my mind at first until I ate a couple of pieces, I thought it was pretty good, but then I remembered what I read about that fish ... We quickly finish up, pay, and drove home with minutes to spare. Price to quality is decent compared to other sushi place, I have had better sushi at similar price point but it is not bad at all. Payment and tipping practice still with paper bill that was left on the table for us to fill.

The salmon miso fusion nigiri completely blew us away. Everyone at the table was awestruck after the first bite. And the uni deserves a special mention. We've had uni nigiri at plenty of other sushi restaurants where it's been just okay, but the uni here was an absolute showstopper: fresh, creamy, sweet, and without any unpleasant aftertaste. The food was very good and we gave a solid 10/10 (the ratio of rice to filling was well balanced), the hot sake was smooth, and the beer was very cold. Everything was priced well compared to other sushi restaurants. Most rolls we ordered ranged from $6.95 to $13. Staff were very nice and attentive. The restaurant was clean and quiet. Two things I want to highlight:: (1) the restaurant closes at 9pm, and stops serving new clients at 8:45pm. The service was really good though. Food came out fast both times after ordering. The gentleman that was helping our table was very kind and attentive. He kept coming by to check on how everything was going. The food itself was pretty good, but there is a lack of consistency from last year compared to this year. I did not want to make a fuss about it at the restaurant, but I was quite disappointed with the quality of the fish. It wasn't as fresh this time. The restaurant has a cozy vibe. There's 30 minute parking available at the front of the restaurant. It is all street parking. The first time I was here we ordered: -Dragon Roll -Beef Roll -Gyoza -Chicken Karaage -Fried Calamari -Salmon Maki -Salmon Avocado -Double Double Salmon -49ers Roll Second Time Order: -Alaska Roll -Salmon Maki -Rock n Roll -Chicken Karaage appetizer -Fried Calamari appetizer -Golden California Roll -Dragon Roll -Salmon Avocado The Alaska roll according to the menu has spicy cooked salmon, cucumber, topped with unagi sauce and tobiko. The unagi sauce seemed to be more at the bottom than drizzled at top, but the waitress was kind enough to ask me if I wanted some of the unagi sauce on the side, which was very nice. It made a big difference in terms of flavor. Eating the Alaska roll without the extra unagi sauce, I was only able to taste the Sriracha. By the way, it did not mention on the menu that the Alaska roll was going to have both spicy mayo and Sriracha on it. I'm not a fan of Sriracha. The spicy mayo I can do, but the Sriracha ruined it for me. The dragon roll was ordered last year and this year. Please see the photos for how inconsistent the roll is. There were more ingredients the first time we ordered this roll. There was more avocado last year. The gyozas were pretty good. They came out hot and crispy, but not dry. They had a good amount of flavor. The beef roll had asparagus and beef in it. It's a pretty good combination. The chicken Karaage was good both times, but I did notice it was juicier when we ordered it last year. The salmon maki was much better last year than when I ordered it this year. I am not sure if a different person was making the rolls, but the rolls didn't fall apart last time like it did today. Most importantly though, the salmon was fresher the first time I had it. They definitely changed something other than the appearance. It was also pretty upsetting that the pieces of salmon maki were uneven. Only 2 of the pieces were tall, whereas last year, I was given all 6 pieces that had the same height. It makes it look like the sushi I got today was less. I had all the photos of the sushi from last year on my old phone, so I wasn't able to show the waiter or the owner the comparison. The rock n roll is a good portion, but there was barely any bbq eel in it. It was literally just a little tiny piece in the corner of the sushi. I do appreciate that the avocado is fresh and creamy in the rolls that we ordered. 49ers roll - is one of my go to rolls for something light and refreshing. The lemon slices add a really nice touch. I love that the lemon is thinly sliced and the rind was actually included. It adds a bit of tartness to the flavor, which I find satisfying. The salmon was very fresh. I only ordered it last year and not this time since my husband and I were at a prior event that had food, but we were still craving sushi lol. The fried calamari was good, but this time that we got it, the portion was significantly smaller. I'm not sure why. It has good texture and crispiness. There was also a piece of calamari that ended up in our chicken Karaage, which we didn't know what it was at first, but later found out it was calamari lol. No complaints about the Double Salmon Roll. If you love raw salmon, more raw salmon, avocado and tobiko, that one is a good option. The Golden California roll was okay. We felt like it had too much batter though. Salmon Avocado roll was a lot better the first time we were here as well. I don't know if their raw fish supplier changed or something, but the salmon definitely didn't taste the same. I know it's been a year and some may think how do I remember? I'm a sushi fanatic/connoisseur. When I eat sushi and it's good, I have a little happy dance that I do. First time I was here I did the happy dance and that's why I wanted to come back here again. The prices are very affordable here and the service is great. However, I was pretty disappointed today (8/8/2026) with the presentation of the rolls and the freshness of the salmon or lack of freshness I should say. I would love to come back again, but I just don't want to be disappointed. I'm really hoping to have a better food experience here in the future.
