This was the amount of coleslaw added. Just a few strands of cabbage

I ordered the unagi kimchee bowl through ubereats and while the eel tastes amazing, there was no kimchee or Cole slaw as was advertised in the description. The pictures show just how little was added. A bit upsetting because everything else tastes good

Beef Tofu Soup
Love K.

Not only does the parking lot get busy during lunch, so does this restaurant. Come early if you can! My co-workers and I have been here a couple of times now for Tofu Soup. This restaurant does it a little differently than others as they put thinly sliced vegetables into the soup that brings out a nice crunch. The one con (-2 stars) is that they are not generous with their tofu and their meat. I asked for no egg in my beef tofu soup and could hardly spot any protein. The tofu is soft and delicious but gone in a few bites; I'm left with just the soup. If they could fix that issue, it's a 5-star for me.

First time here and it did not disappoint. Super close to our hotel, easy self-service, and our server was really friendly. The food came out fast and everything was tasty. Really chill, casual spot--would definitely come back.

Good value for lunch. I got a bulgogi bibimbap and it was decent. Would come back to try tofu soup which I saw a lot of people ate. It's in a crowded Plaza by subway, with a bunch of other eateries so might be hard to find parking around lunchtime.

Beef Tofu Soup + Goyza 6pcs

Great food for a cheap price. The Beef Tofu Soup is amazing and the dumplings are some of my favorite I've had.

Korean House is a small restaurant that's been around for nearly 18 years nothing fancy or elaborate more of a cozy friendly a place to dine-in even though seating is quite limited for a large party or two. Menu selection is extensive rice bowls, poke, ramen, tofu soup and much more. I came by on a Thursday morning right before the lunch crowd caved in. I chose the beef bibimbap rice bowl with mixed veggies, rice and egg, along with a bowl of beef bulgogi kimchi rice bowl and Thai iced coffee. Generous portions and the prices are far cheaper than some of the high end Korean restaurants. No need for refill they have it set up where you can serve yourself a glass of water without asking. First off when placing an order they will give you a pager once it lights up it's ready for pickup. You can pay by cash or credit/debit card. Would definitely be back best to come by early on the weekday rather on the weekends tend be very busy.

BBQ Eel (Unagi) Bimbibap

Ordered from here for a team lunch and had it delivered to our site. I got the BBQ eel (unagi) bibimbap -- the piece of unagi was a good size + it was moist and tasty! I was expecting some more veggies but it didn't seem like very much. The team ordered japchae to share but it was a little bland so that's what I actually ended up using some of my bibimbap sauce for lol. If we were to order to-go from here again, I'd get the unagi rice plate since the rice plates look like they had more veggies (more specifically, a salad) included in them!

We were craving quick Korean food and Korean House happened to be in the area. We came during lunchtime Saturday and the restaurant wasn't super busy. It has a small but clean interior. Just looking at the menu, the prices were superrrr cheap compared to other Korean restaurants. The guy working there was friendly and told us this was a family owned restaurant. We got some kimchee rice bowls take out and a small japchae. Everything total ended up only being $33. The rice bowls were really good for the price! They were packed and pretty filling, I couldn't even finish my portion. The japchae was flavorful but a tad saucy and the noodles were just a bit too soft for our liking. Overall though, hella good place with even better prices. I will definitely be coming back. Support small businesses!!

Fat wallet eats. They haven't raised prices much, so it's still very good tasting and affordable for Korean foods in the area. Korea House never disappoints. Credit cards accept for foods. They always open on time. I used to come here for lunch regularly when working nearby. Convenient little spot with huge parking lot next to Homewood Suites hotel. Low key spot. People usually order takeouts during weekdays. Not crowded on Sundays. Bank of America is just across the street. Staffs are always nice and great to work with when placing orders at the front counter. Yes, you can dine inside and put away your own tray afterwards. Pour your own water. They even have little cute gifts inside now. $2-$40 gift price range (cash only). Small restaurants like this one always make me want to come back again. Tofu stews, bibimbaps, rice plates/bento boxes, poke salad bowls, etc. Their fried eggs are absolutely delicious here. They have great menu selections. It's not a huge place, but can accommodate a good number of customers inside. Happy experiences each time. Food is always good. I still think this place should expand or move into a larger restaurant space. Overall, good choice conveniently located not far from San Jose airport too. It's pretty original here.

Came across this new hole the wall spot while on my lunch and you would be amazed of what they sold here. Usually Korean tofu soup would go around 18 almost 20 bucks nowadays but what really caught my eye was how much cheaper this place was. For $13-14 you'll find a great steal here, and they load their soup with a ton of protein and ingredients. I ordered myself a seafood tofu soup and it was simply delicious. This is a family own restaurant as well, support your local businesses! I will definitely be back to try other items because they have other items for an unbeatable price.

I saw this more than a few times, when I'm in North SJ, going down N First St., and towards The Market Place Mall, and I knew I had to do it. Today I'm in Silicon Valley. I'm here at the Korean House (T&T fusion). And I knew exactly what I wanted. This is a Beef Sundubu-jjigae Kimchi tofu Stew Soup 순두부찌개. I haven't had this in a long time, and it was so warm, comforting to my Soul, the tofu was so silky, it arrived scorching hot, and had the right amount of Heat. Just what I needed, in my life right now. And they ran out of the Korean Pancakes Yachaejeon 야채전, so I got a Japchae 잡채 instead. Some of the people working here are good people, very accommodating. Now I'm used to the Japchae with the Fish Cake Eomuk 어묵 or chả cá, but this Veggie version is still very good. I can tell they took their time to Stir-fry the Bean Thread Noodles, it was flavorful, and the Sesame oil was a good touch. And the Kimchi 김치 was Spicy, it was prepared somewhat differently than others out there, it had a floral note to it, fragrant, and it hit. I was thinking this was going to be a 3.9-4.3 stars, but I give this 4.3 stars out of 5 stars.

Bulgogi Beef Kimchi Roll
Robert C.

Tried out their bulgogi beef burrito for lunch, food was alright. There was a lot of veggies in the burrito, wish there could be a bit more of the bulgogi for balance. It is a small shop with some interior seating, seemed like most people do take out here. They have a wide selection of foods on menu to choose from.

This doesn't even include the banchan and the free potstickers they gave us... Which leads me to the service!! The owner/manager lady is so sweet and always greets with a smile. The reason why I came over here fairly recently was because I visited cousins and cousin in law that live near to give them Valkyries shirts and other shirts they'll send to the Philippines in over a month, and since they plan to be sending clothes over while telling me about the place, I gave them my Kate Martin and Kaitlyn Chen jerseys for the trouble as I needed to make room for my Veronica Burton jersey, which I wore when I met up with them, and my upcoming violet Gabby Williams one. (Go Valks!) The noteworthy parts the place has are the real good amount of banchan dishes, bibimbap and the short rib, the spicy one in particular. While I probably will not visit the place again anytime soon, at least I can keep this place in mind if I want Korean food without driving to Santa Clara. There's plenty of parking behind the spot. As you come in, the place looks simple, but it works. You have the adorable ajumma/ajumni to take your order. The stuff I ordered. I had water, banana milk and kimchi fried rice. Since I was the only one that had more than 1 drink, I told my cousins and cousin in law the banana milk, and they did bring up how on occasion, you see the drink in K-dramas. Of course, we laughed on how my parents never got into K-dramas and while I'm at it, Filipino dramas. Oh well. Oh, there's no doubt the food is good, and the place is too legit (to quit) as I did hear Korean from a different table. As I typed up, there are plenty of banchan dishes. Not Los Angeles amount of banchan dishes, but there are plenty of banchan dishes never the less. The kimchi fried rice dish may be simple, but it does give off that homey feel. Can't forget how Big actually is affordable, the big reason why my cousins and cousin in law like the place so much. The reason why the place doesn't get a perfect score. The place would have received a perfect score if, the major matter I remember here, the place has mul naengmyun (my favorite Korean dish). Originally, I wanted Japanese ramen before my cousins mentioned this place, and I was ready to pivot to having mul naengmyun, but I was told that the place doesn't carry the noodle dish. (Being a very good and logical dish to eat for at the very least half of the year in a city like here San Jose is the reason why of all of the Korean dishes, I like mul naengmyun the most.) There probably is one or two minor flaws I already forgot, but the lack of mul naengmyun is the dead on reason why I don't give the place a perfect score. On a side note, it's nice that I told the group what banana milk and mul naengmyun are, and by doing so, they learn something new regarding eating at Korean spots just in case. BigSpoon is a good spot. While it may not be as iconic as the places in Santa Clara, it is a good spot never the less. It does a good job at being a Korean spot for an area that is more so known for Mexican food. If you live on the east side, head on over here because the place should get your attention. +/BigSpoon is brilliant and spiffy because it has a terrific combination of good simple food, affordability and wonderful service. -/If only the place also has mul naengmyun.

I'm glad I did and was definitely delighted by the experience. Hot Stone Bibimbap 5/5: There was a review on Yelp saying that there was no crunchy rice at the bottom and that it was bland. As a fellow Korean, let me give you some advice. Wait a few minutes and let the rice cook more because the stone bowl is still hot. lift up the bottom until you see crunchy bits and then you could start mixing. Excellent mix of seasoned vegetables and rice. They give you the gochujang bottle sauce on the side. you can adjust it to your level. Soon Tofu Soup 5/5. I've had a lot of tofu soup of what I like about this one is that it had a good balance of tofu, kimchi was not super sour like some restaurants and they give you an egg on the side. Very clean finish. Banchan 5/5: The highlight for me was the banchan. I went with a very picky eater friend and she really loved the kimchi ,the cucumber kimchi ,the fish cakes, japchae. They put a lot of effort into making the banchan - which I recognize right away. They also fill up if you run out and the dishes are larger than normal restaurants. Amazing. You read my mind. Interior 4/5: It is a smaller, more intimate seating.( about 25-30 people) . It still has the vibes of of a Korean eatery with K-pop music playing on the TV screen, wooden benches and chairs. You'll have to wait a bit if you go during peak hours and parking is a bit difficult. I suggest going within the first hour they open up when there's less crowds.

He told me it would take about 15-20 minutes, and by the time we got there around the 15 minute mark, everything was already ready to go. The soup was SO good. Plenty of tofu and a generous amount of beef. I also loved all the sides they included along with a bowl of rice. Every side dish was delicious, but the kimchi especially stood out. Honestly some of the best kimchi I've had in a long time. The portion was enough for both my daughter and I to share, though that's probably because we're both sick and couldn't eat too much. We're definitely looking forward to ordering from here again. Would love to try the seafood pancake and some of their other dishes next time!

Our dishes arrived minutes after we sat down, which was impressive. There was also a variety of delicious side dishes, with various types of kimchi. The nine of us split two braised beef short rib dishes - and we were struggling to finish it all. The portion size is massive, which makes sense since it's a pretty penny. The meat was so tender, literally falling off the bone. There were a ton of potatoes, daikon, rice cake, and carrots as well. The entire dish was savory and delicious, pairing perfectly with rice. We waited until 5:20 and they still weren't serving, so we ended up leaving. Our most recent visit was the last straw. They only offered two types of banchan (not even kimchi), and they were out of all dishes that included meat or beef. It was surprising for a Korean restaurant to not have Korean BBQ or short ribs available. My seafood tofu soup barely had any seafood, and I had to point out to the waiter that there was no shrimp at all. He later returned with a cheap frozen seafood mix and said they use a seafood mix, which was disappointing considering the higher quality seafood they used to serve (including head-on shrimp). They also did not serve the usual purple rice this time -- instead we were given dry white rice that seemed reheated. There was only one server handling all the tables and cleaning, so service was slow. It's disappointing because the quality used to be much better.
