I've been to Pocha Eats a few times and it's becoming one of my go to spots. Here are a few things I observed when visiting. The owner and server is very friendly and attentive. The chef puts his heart and pride into the dishes he makes. Everyone who works there are not only very respectful to customers but amongst themselves. Every dish I've tried was surprisingly delicious to the point that even though I'm stuffed I still want to munch to keep satisfying my pallet. The Food is Amazing!! It's definitely a must try. And if you're an hour away, I'd say it's worth the drive. We had their "Bossam", "tteokbokki","kimchi fried rice", "bulgogi tacos", kimchi jjigae". All excellent and safe choices that will satisfy you and you loved one. If you're not that hungry, I'd probably settle for the bossam and kimchi jjigae. The service is great, nothing there to complain about. Very friendly and always willing to assist. Lastly the ambiance isn't all there. Stopped in with my son on our way home from camping. Found it on yelp. We ordered the chicken wings, cold noodles and spicy pork. The Wigan came out quickly, were piping hot and really good. I enjoyed the spicy pork. Not spicy though, I found the sweet and spicy wings spicier but it was good. My son said he enjoyed the cold noodles. We were trying to find a place that was open late at night and came across Pocha Eats. It's located in a mall that had a lot of parking which is definitely a plus. I went in and was greeted by one of the sweetest people that I've ever met. They recommended the bossam and we also had the Kimchi jjigae, grilled tteokbokki and the bulgogi sliders. The bossam was one of the BEST bossam that I've ever eaten. The outer layer was a sweet glazed marinade that paired really well with the other toppings and the sauce provided. The other menu items were also amazing as well! The kimchijjigae tasted like home and the grilled tteokbokki was a new and yummy twist on the regular tteokbokki! The bulgogi marinade was also the perfect flavor making the whole meal a pleasant experience. Overall, I'm very happy that this place opened here in Cerritos!! read more

My party of 12 loved Pocha Eats! STAFF was friendly, attentive, and patient with our group. WE ORDERED the pork belly, braised beef, grilled tkbki, bulgogi, chicken (honey, soy, and parmesan garlic), and pork cutlet. In a SWEET GESTURE, they surprised us with a complimentary ube crème brullee cheesecake slices for the 2 birthday people in the party. Everything was DELICIOUS at this casual, small, MOM AND POP. I hope people discover it though as it's not the in the best LOCATION. The shopping centered looks almost abandoned with the exception of a handful of small stores. Spread the word. Where to start!! Tucked away in a pretty ghosttown of a stip mall, this small GEM of a restaurant surprised even my husband and 8 year old daughter. They are not as adventurous as my 12 year old daughter and I are. So when they ate everything I ordered, I knew we would definitely be back. We had the glazed pork belly, bulgogi with UDON noodles, donkatsu, and the royal soba w/perilla seed. Hands down some of the most flavor filled dishes I have had, they were excellent. Came here this past weekend. The restaurant was nice and clean, the staff was friendly and the food was good. We had the chicken wings, tokbokki and bossom. There were other dishes my group had that looked good, but didn't get to try. I didn't mind though because I really enjoyed these three. Especially the tokbokki. I don't usually order that, but I'm glad I tried it here because it was sooo flavorful. The sauce was savory, sweet, a little spicy and I just wanted to dip everything in it. read more

I was expecting the ingredients to be grilled like the description said, which would make it different from regular teokbokki but sadly it was a stir-fried teokbokki with just a little hint of sauce. As simple as the food here is, they don't misrepresent a thing when they say this is Korean comfort food. The dishes are so simple, but they are certainly delicious. I definitely can appreciate the fact that a lot of their dished do away with the starches in exchange for kimchi and kicked veggies; even after eating so much a never felt stuffed. The ambience is nothing extravagant but it is comfortable; which certainly is fitting given what's on the menu. The service has been great every time we've gone so far - we've been served by the same nice lady Tina. She's always quick and kind. When we got there at around 6:30pm, the place was fairly empty, with 3 other tables occupied. By 7:15pm, the place was packed! My family didn't care for their wings since they had better elsewhere. The wings were under-seasoned and not fried well and the wings themselves were a little small and sad. The Kimchi Fried Rice and the Grilled Tteokbokki were good but nothing to write home about. However, my boys prefer my Kimchi Fried Rice since I add bacon and sausages.
