This is the old former Kokio Chicken spot with a new eatery taken over. They have various Korean pub food. We ordered the sweet and spicy wings (4 star), Bossam - they have their own take on this dish and it was delicious and I highly recommend this dish (5 star)! We also got the omelets rice for the kids, but this one wasn't the best as far as the fried rice portion. It was really lacking (2 star). We also got the kimchi pork bokkum and this dish was decent. I wish they had more kimchi in there. I think I found lile 3 pcs of kimchi in our dish, but give it (3.5 stars). They have a lot of other dishes to try from so I think we will be back for more! read more

The food here was really good. Came with a big group on a Saturday night and was fast to get seated. Everyone one in the group loved the food & if you like their Bo Ssam with less fat then order the beef instead of the pork belly. Everything was well marinated. Soooooo good! I drive by this place all the time and didn't pay it much attention, until I saw their Instagram stories. Everything looked so good, so we came in for dinner. Everything was delicious. We had the bulgogi udon, the soy garlic wings and the braised beef. All of it was very flavorful, and fresh. The customer service was just as great as the food. The lady who helped us was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself was very cute and super clean. So happy we found a new spot to put into our rotation. read more

Good spot for Korean comfort food. It's located in a run down strip mall, so the location is not the best. I like that they have a variety of menu items beyond the usual bulgogi bibambak and tofu soup. Their most popular dishes are the grilled meat so I'd recommend those. The other dishes such as seafood pancake and kimchi fried rice are lackluster. The purple yam cheese cake is worth a try if you have a sweet tooth, but it just tastes the same as regular cheesecake. read more

Let me tell you about Pocha Eats, I had never heard of this place till yesterday and that was only because the restaurant my girlfriend and I were going to go to was temporarily closed for personal reasons. We were bummed but then saw this place a few windows over. We decided to give it a try and I am so happy we did, the food was Bomb! I don't think you'll are ready because I sure as hell wasn't, this food slapped me so hard with it's flavor. I had the kimchi fried rice and my girlfriend had the bulgogi yaki udon, check out them pictures, they hook it up. I have to say for a week old place they have their food act all together! The pork belly / bossam is nothing similar to what I've had before! I don't care if I get gout eating this dish alone! The way it's prepared is more boiled and sliced but the way it's prepared here is a honey soy garlic with bits of the crystalized sugary goodness. Think candied bacon in a western sense. This is soo stinking good with the crunch from the sweet coat outside and the tender pork meat on the inside.... I'm still thinking about it as I sit here at home. The fried chicken, I have to say, I've had plenty of Korean style fried chicken. Normally it's fried and dense hard not dense crispy. The fried chicken in the two ways texture were so good that I almost ate both plates of 10 each flavor I ordered. lol I got the sweet and spicy wings and I have to say there's a slight hit of garlic but what I really love is I ca. taste of the depth of flavor from their mastery of seasoning and sauces. Not overly blown out eating super spicy but a nice spice level. One can taste the Gochu Garu (ground red pepper powder) that was used to make the sauce, there was no skimping on doing things right than getting something off the shelf. I love their flavors and in the golden yellow fried chicken batter I could taste like the sweetness of the crunchy batter kinda almost like captain crunch. The service was good, they are a husband wife team in the front of the house who were very warm and welcoming.. there was music played but not overly blasting like other places I've gone to which make it feel like you're in a club and by the end of your meal your hearing is gone. I always wanted to try this place so I decided to stop by. The place is small with a few booths and open tables. I ordered the spicy Tteobokki and Seafood pancake which cost me about $38. When I got home everything looked good. The tteobokki had a lot of noodles, rice cake, and fish cakes but also had fried seaweed rolls, dumplings, and a hard boiled egg which I have never seen before. Everything from the tteobokki tasted good from the noodles, the broth, the vegetables, and all the other fillings. Also the seafood pancake was great plenty of seafood and vegetables to go with the pancake which could easily feed 2-3 people I would definitely go back and try something else! read more

I used to come to this restaurant before when it was owned by different management, and previously known as Kokio Chicken. I recently visited Pocha Eats the other night and was very happy with the selection of food. I ordered the Boneless Chicken with a side salad and it was very tasty. I took my cousin with me and the portions were more than enough for both of us. The food was brought out very promptly too. The restaurant was very clean. The ambiance is cozy. Everything was tidy and well kept and our server was also great. The owner came over to greet us when we were ready to pay, and she was very friendly and courteous. I was also even able to have a brief conversation with her about my favorite K-pop idol, Irene from Red Velvet! I intend to come back and try more of the menu. This is a great spot to go to because it's on the border of Orange County and LA County (Cerritos), without having to drive far in LA for Korean food. Had some fantastic food at today's soft opening. 1) The group favorite was the delicious Bossam. It was soooo good served with fresh chives, radish kimchi & pickled vegetable. 2) The spicy cold noodle was perfect with ramen type noodles and fresh vegetables. 3) The unique snail salad with noodles was very good. The snail was surprisingly perfectly cooked with good texture without being chewy. It was served with vermicelli noodle which you mix together. 4) We also had the rare find of Royal soba noodle dish which was well put together and had a variety of ingredients to mix together. 5) The remaining standard Korean staple dishes of fried chicken & seafood pancake were all very tasty. They still have other combo dishes with Tonkatsu, kimchi fried rice, ramen, etc that we didn't get to try but we'll definitely be back to try these dishes in the near future. read more

We ordered on Doordash and we just had to leave a review. The perilla seed noodles, bibimbap, and pork belly tasted great! The noodles and the pork belly actually go well together! Just know that the pork belly is cut really thick and was a little dry so try to take small bites of them :) We will try to visit in person next time! read more

First off, the young lady who works there was very sweet & attentive. Thank you for serving us! Second, the food was very flavorful & hot out the kitchen. The Army stew had much flavor & was not too big (fed ~3-4 people). To cool off we ordered the Royal Soba w/ Perilla Seed. Super refreshing & not heavy. Recommend trying it at least one. I was scrolling through Yelp to find a quick lunch and came across Pocha Eats. Upon arriving, I immediately noticed this replaced where Kokio Chicken used to be. Once inside, I was immediately greeted by the friendly lady working the front. She was quick and attentive and made sure that I had everything I needed. Continuing to follow up and making sure that everything was okay. Their menu is isn't the biggest, but covers majority of the foods that you will find at other pochas in the area. However, what differentiates Pocha Eats is their take on their food. You can tell that they truly worked on crafting and perfecting their recipes. Although, I didn't get the bossam, like other reviews, I heard patrons inside amazed about how delicious the bossam was and how it tasted different from other places. I'll have to get this next time. Being on a time crunch and wanting a safe choice, I went with the Sweet & Spicy Korean Fried Chicken (10 pc). I ended up eating by myself and was completely comfortable inside. The chicken here was amazing!!! Although, it wasn't as crunchy as most places, the flavor truly makes it up. It has a smoky aroma with their take on sweet & spicy. Lastly, what truly caught my eye was their prices. In this economy, everything is so expensive nowadays, but the prices here are truly competitive! The other day I was in Cerritos for work and I was craving some Korean food, but didn't want Korean barbecue. So this place popped up. It's a new small and pop Korean restaurant and when I first walked in it smelled so good. I asked the server to recommend me a few dishes and they all came out delicious. My favorite was the kimchi fried rice and also the pork Don Katsu. These portions here are very big so make sure you come with some friends and enjoy. This is my new go to spot for Korean food. Came here on Sunday noon, the surrounding stores were closed so there was plenty of parking. The woman and the man that attending were so warm, welcoming and attentive. I ordered the 10pc original crispy wings to share with my brother and they were exquisite. The crispiness and the flavor are just right. I also had the spicy pork and it came either cabbage and rice. The spice level of the pork was enjoyable and flavorful. Visited this restaurant on a Saturday night with my sister and friend and it was so good. We let our server know it was our first time and she was super helpful and walked us through the whole menu, even gave us a couple of recommendations. The ambiance was super clean and very organized. The taekboki with ramen was delicious and perfectly cooked. The rice cakes were chewy with a nice bite. We also trying the soy glazed pork belly which also was so tender and tasty. It paired well with the kimchi, radish, and vinegar sauce. The only thing we did not enjoy as much was the soy garlic boneless chicken wing.
