The restaurant is clean but had a few flies around the table. The menu was easy to follow as it had photos of each of the items. My table got the grilled tteok bokki, original chicken wings, and soy glazed bossam (full order). The tteok bokki and chicken were good but nothing that stood out. The chicken comes with a dipping sauce. I think it's one of the sauces used for the flavored options. The rice cakes in the tteok bokki were good but the dumplings and the seaweed noodle rolls were a bit dry. The soy glazed bossam was the star of the meal! Very easy to find restaurant with tons of parking. Sadly parking is plentiful because most of the businesses in this plaza seem to be gone. After awkwardly trying to get through their magnetic screen door curtain we were greeted by very friendly employees. Menu has a large variety of items and most seemed meant to be shared and accompanied by booze. Lots of pub style dishes. What brought us here was the "Pocha Bossam" which is soy glazed pork belly served with a delicious vinegary dipping sauce, raw green onion, daikon radish, and kimchi. We got the regular portion which was plentiful for two people to share. More than two people you'll want to get the larger size because this stuff is so good you'll want a big enough portion so you won't be fighting for slices. The employee made sure to let us know you want to grab a piece and eat it with the garnishes after dipping in the sauce. My wife and I both loved every bite and devoured it. The pork belly was braised or steamed so it wasn't crispy, just melt in your mouth tender. Just know they do not serves these with wraps like other Korean restaurants. You eat it with the garnish. I noticed some reviews are disappointed in this serving style so figured I'd mention it. We also ordered a serving of boneless chicken. What came out was a mountain of fried goodness. There's several flavors to choose from and we picked the soy garlic. It was more on the sweet side than I expected and I didn't taste much soy flavor but it was definitely heavy on the garlic. We ate a large amount but ended up tapping out and taking some home due to the enormous portion size. It tasted great the next day straight out of the fridge. Super crispy batter yet maintained moist tender chicken. To drink my wife and I shared a bottle of Green Grape Sochu. For $10 I was expecting this to be wine cooler strength but my wife and I had a pretty good buzz after polishing off the bottle. They had a lot of interesting sochu flavors so we'll definitely try another next visit. They gave us some pretzels with the drink. All the customers here seemed to be in a good mood. Service was so friendly you couldn't help but be in a good mood. Another employee was in the corner staging food for photos I assume for social media. I've been coming here quite often, so we usually get the short ribs and the seafood pancake! The place is super clean as well as decadent with all the TVs of all the different K-pop singers and dancers. The waiters and waitresses are very attentive and know when to provide extra water for us. Definitely check out their happy hour menu! Parking you'll have to find on the streets or the structure. Pocha is short for the Korean word "pojangmacha", which translates to "covered wagon", or street food stalls. Pocha is located in a small strip mall and seems to be the only business that's open when we went on a Sunday afternoon, so there was plenty of parking. The interior has a simple contemporary design and brightly lit. The menu is simple and includes pictures, which I highly appreciate. Some items suggest this is not an authentic Korean restaurant as there are some fusion items like sliders or enchiladas. We went with a few things that we haven't tried before. Grilled tteok-bokki. Usually this is served bathing in a red sweet sauce, but this one is milder and is a dry dish. It's served with a couple of jap chae dumplings, fried seaweed filled jap chae and mini hot dogs. The tteoki-bokki itself is quite chewy. Side order of jap chae dumplings, also came with a couple of fried seaweed jap chaes. A dipping sauce gave it a slight tangy flavor. Pocha street noodles came hot and filed with vegetables. Usually I get something with protein but this light and flavorful bowl of noodles hit the spot. Seafood ramen: We were warned this is one of the spiciest things in their menu, but turns out it was only a tiny bit spicy ( I have a high heat tolerance) The bowl came with clams and squid, so not much seafood. Still, a nice hot bowl that's soothing. Service was very pleasant. Our server was likely new because he didn't know the answer to a few questions l asked, but he was very nice. The owner was warm and welcoming, full of smiles. Upon us leaving, I was glad to see more people arrive around dinner time. If you're around the area, I'd say give them a try and support this small family business. read more

Love, love, love this place! This quaint fusion style Korean place is a little hole in the wall located in Cerritos. They're open pretty late (9pm - 11pm depending on the day) and have a very family friendly atmosphere! Their menu is a little small, which I actually prefer because of decision paralysis. All their items are super tasty. We often get the army stew, royal soba noodles with perilla seed, and chicken quesadilla. The chicken quesadilla (not pictured) is honestly SO good, especially when you dip it in the army stew! I don't know how they do it, but there is so much chicken and flavor jam packed into the quesadilla. I don't think I could replicate it at home no matter how many times I tried. It was so good with the army stew, we got it twice in a row for dinner. Highly recommend this place! I ordered the fried Japchae dumplings, seafood pancakes, and donkatsu. The fried Japchae dumplings only have noodles inside so it's a lot of carbs and it tastes okay...the seafood pancakes is a lot better. Moderate amount of seafood and very crispy. New spot with good reviews, so I wanted to check it out. As a Korean, I know good Korean bar food. You need to alter your expectations when you come here because the food is a bit different from traditional Korean bar food. I ordered a large bossam, and this was not like any bossam I've ever had. First of all, the menu pictures show nice slices of pork (as a normal bossam should look like). But the food I got was just random pieces of pork -- some slices sure, but nothing like the photo. The meat was also covered in this sweet, sticky sauce. It didn't taste bad, but I've never had bossam like that. There's also no "ssam" part of the bossam, which is the cabbage wrap. With the menu picture and the name bossam, it's a bit of false advertising. I also ordered the original wings and honey garlic wings. They were fried fresh and pretty good. Not the best Korean fried chicken wings I've had, but they're decent and will fulfill any fried chicken craving. One big negative is that the chicken isn't served with the cubed pickled white radish. Again, you need to change your expectations when you come here. The radish completes the whole Korean chicken experience, so I felt like something was missing the entire meal. Overall, I was excited to try this place but was a bit disappointed by the two menu items I ordered. I'll have to come back to try other things. read more

Been here a few times, dinner or lunch, weekdays or weekends, it's never super packed but the food is always good. Parking is really easy too. Chill kpop videos and if you come at dinner near closing, the ladies who cook chill and will chat. Feels super homey Really liked the army stu, the braised pork and beef. Bossam is one of my comfort dishes and Pocha does such an amazing take on it with its marinade that this particular Bossam might become part of my comfort meal rotations! Was looking for a late night eat (past 9pm) and saw that Pocha was open! Located in a quiet strip mall area and was the only thing lit up in this plaza at this time. Service was great, everything came out quickly and we could tell this was family ran. Our server was so kind and when we asked for lemons for our soju fresh she wasn't sure if the kitchen could do it, but was so excited when they could and gave us extra! We got the perfect meal for two of kimchi jigae, bossam and fried chicken. All were delicious! I LOVED the bossam so much! Fried chicken sauce was amazing, I just wish it were crispier. Located in a plaza with a sizable parking lot off the corner of Carmenita and Artesia Blvd this restaurant is located along the row of other businesses. I went around 3pm and it was not busy. Small location but plenty of seating. They had tvs playing Kdramas in the background. I asked the server what were their most popular dishes and she pointed out the two that stood out to me when I looked at the menu. Their Bo Ssam (which she indicated wasn't traditional in the sense it wasn't served with the wrap part using lettuce or cabbage) and the Royal Soba with Perilla seed. This was more than enough food for two people. We were provided some rice in place of the traditional wrap to eat it with which was fine. Slightly sweet and savory and went well with the sides. The Royal soba was refreshing and light. Noodles were firm and had a slight chew, the sauce was nutty. It's definitely a great choice on a hot day. We found this restaurant by accident. We were going to go elsewhere, but they were closed so we came here. It honestly all worked out for the best because chief called and he said this is it. However, the ttobokki could be better. I thought the ttok was too hard. The two other Korean places in the same plaza make it better. The bbossam was really flavorful but it didn't include lettuce or Napa wraps like other places. Instead, it comes with chives and sliced pickled radish, and kimchi radish. Chicken wings were a bit too greasy but other than that, good flavor and came out piping hot. Our overall favorite dish was the royal soba with perilla seed. I met a friend for lunch on Friday late afternoon. It wasn't busy. We were seated and attended to immediately. We had great service. The food was amazing! Kimchi fried rice was our favorite but the Ube cheesecake, Stew and pork were very close seconds! The spice levels were just right in the stew and rice! I was looking for a new place to eat that had great reviews, so I came across this place and wanted to try it. I called in my order for pickup, and when I arrived, my food was already waiting for me. The inside of the restaurant was clean, and the cashier was very nice when I arrived. I ordered the Bo Ssam (soy glazed) and six original chicken wings.
