I've gotten Pizzava to-go at least half a dozen times over the last year. It's a great pizza spot in Carson and arguably the best non-corporate chain in the area. Most recently we grabbed the Hawaiian, pepperoni, and Backyard. The pizza from here is always killer. All of the pizzas are always LOADED with toppings (see pics) and they come out hot. The seasoning is spot on and crust is great. They often run coupon specials where you can score some deals and I get some good offers from being on their email list as well. I've never experienced issues with service, though the wait time can sometimes be long. I've never really spent time inside the store, but it's really just a to-go counter so not much in the way of "ambiance". Pizzava is a great spot. I'll keep returning as long as the food keeps on being great!

Advertised price on their website which they didnt honor

Ordered a pizza tonight, first time ordering from here. Website advertised pick ip order of an xlg cheese for $14.99. Went to store to pick it up, she rang it up for$19.37, i showed her the website advertisement of $14.99. She couldnt find it, called a pizza maker over, he looked and said we don't have it, then walked away. The girl at the counter, said sorry we dont have, even though i showed her the website advertisement, which nowhere said anything about any restrictions or at only participating locations. I still paid but am not happy with the situation or even being offered anything to make up for their mistake. Just read response from manager, i appreciate your response, and will take you up on it.

Very special meatballs- a sign of hope in the workd filled with pain!

Meatball's REVIEW!!! Read!!! I forgot to comb my hair so I looked penniless - I am not, after asking if they had any left I realized i had left my wallet at home. As I turned to leave the manager said wait! Returned with a package of meatballs! Happy Nevada day! Do me a favor- help me pay for kindness and pass it on!

Again!! They went beyond .. A glitch in our order.. a very accommodating phone call later .. they were back with complete order.. They are the BEST!!

As always, delicious fresh pizza delivery! They always show up earlier than the 'pprojected' time on the website ordering platform. Keep that in mind! So lucky Pizzava delivers to our more remote neighborhood!

Chicken Alfredo with red peppers added.

I came in at lunch hoping for a pizza by the slice, but they don't do that so I tried the pasta. Pasta at pizza places aren't usually the best thing ever so I didn't expect much. I had the chicken Alfredo and added red peppers to it. It was so tasty! Just enough garlic and salt flavor and TONS of goodies (mushrooms caramelized onion chicken). Usually places give you more pasta than other ingredients. Was not the case here. The value was good. About 11$ for pasta that could have served two. Can't wait to go back and do a full pizza here.

Reviews are mixed. Many highlight the fresh, flavorful pizza, generous toppings, and friendly staff. The wings and pastas also receive praise.

Made daily. They have a different selection every day and they incorporated the pasta into their menu. I have never had a bad dish while dinning here. They also have a lovely wine menu, and the Riesling I tried was delightful -- crisp and just sweet enough. I originally ordered the street corn ravioli (which they were unfortunately out of), so I switched to the short rib ravioli with cheesy garlic bread. Both were tasty, and the homemade pasta definitely delivered! Other members of our party ordered burgers, and my sister had the gluten-free shrimp pasta, which she absolutely loved. The ambiance and food were definitely the highlights here. The one downside was the wait. We ordered drinks and then waited over an hour for our food, despite the restaurant not being particularly crowded and there being plenty of kitchen staff around. Service overall was okay, but the wait was a bit excessive. That said, they do promote homemade food, and this feels like a mom-and-pop operation, so I'm willing to give them some grace. Fresh, made-from-scratch food takes time, and I appreciate supporting local businesses. I'd just love to see a little more consistency with the timing. Overall, a lovely spot with great food, a beautiful atmosphere, and reasonable prices. I'd happily return and hope for a smoother experience next time!

I'd give this place a 3.5. Decided to try this place for lunch since I've read some decent reviews…read moreon this place for their pastries. The bakery dining area is huge with both indoor and outdoor seating, both in the front and back of store. We got there around noon-ish and all of their breakfast pastries, like croissants, muffins, and danishes were pretty much gone (understandable), so I looked at their dessert-y pastry display and they had a variety of tarts, cup desserts, cupcakes, cake slices, eclairs, etc. Their TIRAMISU TART caught my eye because I love tiramisu and to have it in tart form was intriguing. I also got a CANNOLI because I read it was one the best in a review I read. I also gave the BONDI sandwich a try on multigrain bread. So, the tiramisu tart was disappointing. It is quite large, maybe a 4.5-5" tart. What I was expecting were the usual components of a traditional tiramisu (mascarpone, zabaglione, a layer of soaked espresso lady fingers, cocoa), but contained in a tart shell vs. a cup. This would have been so creative of them to do. However, it really is just a tart shell filled with a ridiculous amount of whipped cream with MAYBE a hint of mascarpone with a whisper of espresso flavor (you can hardly detect it), and what looked like 2 tiny soaked lady fingers somewhere in the center. I had to dig pretty far into the cream to find them. There was nothing delicious or exciting about it. As for the cannoli, I've had better. Try the ones from Sierra Chef, a tiny gourmet Italian specialty shop in Genoa. You can really taste the richness of the ricotta at Sierra Chef The description of the BONDI sandwich sounded great. It is a substantial sandwich and you probably will be satisfied with just eating half of it. It's a chicken breast sandwich with gouda, avocado, lettuce, tomato and sun-dried tomato pesto mayo. The sandwich lacked flavor/umph. Sun-dried tomatoes typically have alot of flavor, but it was lacking in the mayo. I don't believe they season the chicken breast, but if they seasoned it with some herbs and spices and tweaked the mayo, this sandwich could be a flavor bomb. Service was great. The woman at the cashier was polite and smiley. And the woman who handed me my sandwich was also very smiley. Would I come back? Sure. They have an extensive menu in both savory and sweet and i would hopefully like to find something that suits my taste. 3 items set me back $28+. Pricey for mediocre food, but what isn't pricey these days?

I was helped by a woman who, from the moment I approached the counter, never looked at me or acknowledged me. She continued talking to a coworker, with her head turned away from me the entire time. At one point, the coworker even came over to show her something on her personal phone, and the conversation continued. She eventually bagged my coffee cake without saying a word, still never making eye contact, and handed it to me. I actually had to lean toward her until she finally looked at me. I said, "Thank you," and walked away. I completely understand that working with the public can be challenging, and everyone has bad days. But this was more than just being having a bad day--it was zero effort to acknowledge or interact with a customer. Schat's is a place I really like, which is why this experience was so disappointing. If you're going to work in a customer-facing position, please make an effort to be courteous, acknowledge your customers, and provide at least the basic level of customer service they deserve.

But at the same time, it would be silly to hear a server say bad things about the menu items to their guests. So, she was just doing her job. The bad - The food. Of all the things we ordered, the cheese curds were the best thing cuz...how could you go wrong with frozen items you throw in a fryer? Anyway, we also ordered the Fried Pickles. I enjoy fried pickles, but holy sh*t these were SALTY! These pickles were more like chips. They were actually light and crispy which is unusual as fried pickles are typically still soft and and keep their integrity after being fried in a batter. These, however were like, dehydrated pickles that were battered and deep fried. I really liked how crispy they were, but with how salty they were, we couldn't finish it. Chicken Pot Pie - one of the more popular dishes ordered. It looked great when presented. The top crust looked nice and thin like a cracker, but when I dug in, the filling was runnier than what I am used to. But more importantly, the flavor was off. I assume they use a frozen pie crust because it didn't taste buttery at all. It had a weird chemically taste. I missed having that rich buttery crust a pot pie should have. The filling didn't taste great either. Also, had a weird chemically taste to it. I almost think they use canned chicken based on the flavor and texture it had. I was so looking forward to a homey comforting pot pie. It's not often I get to eat one of these, but this one fell way short of my expectations. The Lamb Burger - My husband loves lamb and it's not often you see a lamb burger anywhere. He was so excited to have this, but was so disappointed after taking his first bite. He said it was so bland. I took a bite. And while it did taste of lamb, I agreed it lacked seasoning. Now, THIS needed some of the salt that were in those pickles. Lol! Foxy Fried Chicken - A panko fried chicken breast. It was good. Mashed potatoes were good and the veggies. I didn't expect this dish to be spicy though. I don't know if the cook went heavy handed on the pepper, but the veggies and mashed potatoes it was served with had a kick to them. Meh. All in all, we wouldn't return. There was nothing we had that made me feel like this place had potential and worth making another visit to. We did order quite a few things and everything, but the curds were lackluster and a disappointment.
