New favorite pizza place! Not sure why I hadn't tried them but this is our second time ordering and the pizza is really good.

I am extremely disappointed because this place is just not the same anymore. I come here pretty often, and it really seems to be going downhill. First, I didn't receive the ranches I paid for (about $5 worth), which was frustrating. Then I came back yesterday, and the dough was completely off. On top of that, the atmosphere was uncomfortable. It appeared the owner was arguing with an employee (possibly his girlfriend), and it created a very unprofessional environment for customers. What makes this even more disappointing is that just a couple of weeks ago I had an amazing experience. The guys working that day were friendly, professional, and the food was excellent. After my experience last night, though, I'm honestly not interested in coming back. I hope the owners take this feedback seriously because this place has a lot of potential, but the quality and professionalism have noticeably declined. Looks like I'll be sticking to Mountain mikes. I see the owner or manager which ever you are replied and if you read my review you would see I didn't say the ranch incident happened yesterday and now I'm being called a liar by the owner.. not professional at all! read more

They don't provide good service at all, and the quality of their food is very poor. The pizza they brought me was completely undercooked, and I couldn't even eat it. been here a bunch of times since they opened. As with almost all starting business, good goes to not-so-good. Lately, the pizza has been not great. Dough is weird and cheese is crap. Skimping on sauce and add-ons not as fresh and plentiful as it used to be. I guess all good things must end. I don't know why businesses self destruct like this over a few cents profit and refuse to stick with the good product. Might as well go to D0minoes now. It's better than this. read more

I've gotten Pizzava to-go at least half a dozen times over the last year. It's a great pizza spot in Carson and arguably the best non-corporate chain in the area. Most recently we grabbed the Hawaiian, pepperoni, and Backyard. The pizza from here is always killer. All of the pizzas are always LOADED with toppings (see pics) and they come out hot. The seasoning is spot on and crust is great. They often run coupon specials where you can score some deals and I get some good offers from being on their email list as well. I've never experienced issues with service, though the wait time can sometimes be long. I've never really spent time inside the store, but it's really just a to-go counter so not much in the way of "ambiance". Pizzava is a great spot. I'll keep returning as long as the food keeps on being great! read more

I'll be honest that I only went here because of a coupon. Well I'm glad I did because I world not have discovered an amazing pizza. I brought it back to a local casino that was having karaoke. I have a slice to the Karaoke DJ and he had to come up to us later to ask where we got the pizza because it was one of the better pizza he has tried. I told him. Well next time there was karaoke we weren't able to attend but the Karaoke DJ messaged me and said that he went to Pizzava and got himself and some friends a pizza. He thanked me for discovering this place. Next time we go to karaoke, we will definitely get ourselves a pizza. Too bad this place is about 20 miles from our house or we would order from here now often. read more

Pizzava is the real deal! My husband and I ordered The Boss and BBQ Chicken pizzas and we were thoroughly amazed. The pizza crust is done correctly. It's fluffly soft but with a bit of crisp and flavor. The sauce on The Boss is definitely homemade and full of flavor. The pizza toppings were very generous and to spread from top to bottom and side to side. Don't order from anywhere else! Pizzava has our business from now on. read more

Ordered a pizza tonight, first time ordering from here. Website advertised pick ip order of an xlg cheese for $14.99. Went to store to pick it up, she rang it up for$19.37, i showed her the website advertisement of $14.99. She couldnt find it, called a pizza maker over, he looked and said we don't have it, then walked away. The girl at the counter, said sorry we dont have, even though i showed her the website advertisement, which nowhere said anything about any restrictions or at only participating locations. I still paid but am not happy with the situation or even being offered anything to make up for their mistake. Excellent pizza and chicken wings. The staff were extremely curious and helpful. Grub hub food delivery was a no show.

I came in at lunch hoping for a pizza by the slice, but they don't do that so I tried the pasta. Pasta at pizza places aren't usually the best thing ever so I didn't expect much. I had the chicken Alfredo and added red peppers to it. It was so tasty! Just enough garlic and salt flavor and TONS of goodies (mushrooms caramelized onion chicken). Usually places give you more pasta than other ingredients. Was not the case here. The value was good. About 11$ for pasta that could have served two. Can't wait to go back and do a full pizza here. read more

Very disappointing first experience with Pizzava. The pizza was overcooked to the point of a burnt crust on the bottom. I asked for extra sauce which was overlooked. Also ordered a dozen wings with Mango Harbanaro and Buffalo Wing sauce but only received a 2 oz container of Mango Harbanaro sauce. The wings were small but tender and tasty. We got this place delivered to our hotel & it arrived hot & fresh! We split the boneless wings, we got golden bbq & Buffalo. The Buffalo was good, pretty standard, the golden bbq was too sweet for my liking. The boneless wings were also extremely tiny & more like a chicken nugget than a wing. I got The Backyard with cauliflower crust & it was delicious! The crust was thin and crispy, & you wouldn't tell the different between that & actual dough. Pizzava has long been one of my favorite pizza shops for very good reason. It's consistently delicious and super friendly and fast service. Their dough is made locally and you can tell. It's got a slight sweetness that is undeniably delicious and it always bakes up crunchy on the bottom with a perfectly puffy and chewy crust. My favorite pizza is always the chicken spinach Alfredo PLUS BACON. Don't skip that add on. The Alfredo is actually light and not the gloppy stuff you find at larger chains, and whatever chicken they use is fantastic. I normally hate chicken from pizza shops because it's usually that rubbery fake stuff you find at Subway but not at Pizzava. Same goes for the other toppings. Everything is top quality. Oh. Gluten-free friends the cauliflower crust is amazing. Choose any pizza you want and you can see the option as a "size". Vegan friends... they have vegan cheese too! I used their free app to order and it was a breeze. I logged in, chose my location, checked out the current specials and discounts, and ordered! I love how easy it is to choose toppings for half a pie in the app and the ability to choose a pickup or delivery time! Since I live between Carson and Reno, I have the option of going to either of their locations. Since I was picking up at dinner time I decided to visit the new store in Carson City to avoid the traffic en route to Midtown from South Reno and I'm glad I did. That calzone was super huge. I liked how they sliced it. Super pull apart. So I actually looked all over Carson City for a Calzone and they're stupid expensive but I understand now by the size. I needed up going w Pizzava because they actually let you pick what you want in there. I was craving meatballs. But, my super complaint is a calzone should always have ricotta. That mozzarella was so thick and greasy. There's only mozzarella and not a ricotta option. I could only eat half of a tiny slice before my stomach felt so heavy and I had the poops til the next day too. Too greasy. But if you want your butt to experience that; I'm impressed. read more

We had chicken, spinach, mushrooms, and artichoke on our pizza and boy oh boy was it delicious!! The pizza was a decent size too and we had plenty to share after! First I want to say that the pizza was delicious! I felt like the crust was just perfect, and the toppings had just a bit of crunch without being overdone. Plus we got fries (really tasty and unique!) and garlic balls which were also different than I've ever had before (in a good way.) On the downside, they sent they completely wrong salad (they sent the Greek with onions and one family member is allergic so that was out for them!) Plus they sent the wrong dressing. They also forgot our marinara sauce for the garlic balls. So, the food that was correct was really good. Just bummed about the incorrect and missing items. We ordered Pizzava through Door Dash. We went for the double pepperoni - the menu warned us it would be greasy and they were right! But it was greasy and delicious. The Extra Large didn't seem that big when it arrived but it was plenty for three people and we had some leftovers. The crust in particular was delicious, the perfect consistency between chewy and crispy. We look forward to trying again and hopefully visiting in person. read more

Second time ordering. Both times I ordered thin crust, well done, and both times they arrived soggy. Disappointing :( The ham on the Hawaiian is diced small which is nice. I was craving late-night pizza and it's 2am. I see that there's two stores so obviously I ordered at the Pizzava open til 3am. I see many five-star reviews here and I'm going to add to that :) I placed an order for veggie pizza and it was literally at my door in less than a hour hour via Door Dash. I took it in and yanked opened the box and the first thing that struck me was...wow! Look at all the fresh veggies on there, they weren't kidding. Another fantastic thing was there was almost NO grease on the box, the box lid, or on the pizza in general. Thin crust with plenty of tasty mozarella on it, and I ate the whole thing...it was a medium. I didn't feel gross afterwards either like I had shoved a plate of grease in me. There was as I said, very little fat. And the amount of olives, peppers, fresh tomato slices, mushrooms, was fantastic. If I could call pizza healthy, this would definitely be it. And I'm very picky about that being a gym/workout freak and eating clean. I might be kidding myself about healthy pizza but Pizzava delivered one that was pretty damn close to that oxymoron :). This was my 2nd stop here and it reaffirmed what my first late night spur of the moment visit revealed. DELICIOUS PIZZA! I love the corn meal covered crust.
