Came with a group, service was top notch even with the amount of people in our group, we had easily close to forty in our group. The food was ordered and came out surprisingly quickly for such a large group. I went with the the ribs this time, I was very disappointed with the brisket on a prior visit. The ribs were passable but certainly not the best I've had. They were a little on the dry side. I ordered sides of steamed broccoli and fries. The sides were very nice portions. The broccoli was a little overcooked for my taste, I like them steamed with a little crunch but I cleaned them up nonetheless and the fries were pretty good. I have not had great experiences with their food. They're the only game in town and that's why they're so busy most occasions but still their food is not all that great

Party of 4 for dinner Arrived 645PM Saturday  You check in at the host stand... you give them your cell phone # and they will contact you when your table is ready. They told me 20 minutes Estimated Time: 705PM Actual Time table was ready  710PM Ordering finished 722PM Time first item out 729PM Server: Rico Friendly & helpful Did not check back for refill of soda.    Only checked back at the end to see if we wanted dessert, we said no and he dropped off the bill. We asked for a small box at that time. Appetizer Basket of Chicken wings contains 6 full wings (drumette flat and tip). Well sauced. Comes with ample amount of celery and carrots. Server did not ask if we wanted Ranch or Blue Cheese. The order came with Ranch only. Very juicy wings, not over cooked. The skin and a of crunch so it was perfect. NOTE: messy, if you eat it right...hands only! I ordered the Smoke Beef Brisket. The brisket was smokey and tender. I could not taste the BBQ glaze... only the smoke. The brisket sits on top of a bed of fried onions... the onions are really crispy and really favorable. The side salad is a good size. I had some of the Steak Fries... really well seasoned and crispy. Lovely side. The men's room is spacious, but a bit of cleaning is needed. The trash can needs to be emptied. The changing station in the handicap stalled needs to be cleaned up.

If I could leave one star I would! I don't even know where to begin with this review. I was traveling and stopped in for a nice lunch but it was everything but nice. First the service was terrible and our waiter was dressed like a hitchhiker! Then the buffalo chicken was completely raw then they didn't even take it off the bill!! At this point in the lunch I became enraged and decided to write this review! And another this is it was supper hot in the restaurant! We were all sweating by the end! Finally at the end we all wanted to leave but our waiter ignored us for a good 20 minutes after we were all clearly done eating! Then we had to ask him for the check! On the drive home we all contracted explosive diarrhea! It was horrible! It's the next day and I'm writing this from my toilet! Do not go here terrible food and service.

Explosion Salad with Flat Iron Steak instead of Chicken.

This is a longtime favorite in Caron City, NV. The food is really good here and enjoyed in a room full of antique vehicles, wagons & memorabilia. Our server, Elizabeth V, took great care of our table and kept our drinks full. The restaurant is found just off the main drag South Carson Street and also offers a nice outdoor dining area and bar. We kept our salads as low carb as possible, so I ordered my (pictured) Explosion Salad with no corn chips and subbed flat iron steak for the normally offered chicken. Fantastic salad! My wife really enjoyed her Roasted Steak Salad too! Come enjoy a cool drink and some good eats at a classic Carson City favorite!

What a super incredible and beautiful place from the outside to the inside this place is incredible. My father is in a wheelchair and they made it accessible for him which is amazing and not to mention our waitress was on it! So far the food is amazing and delicious

Red's Old 395 Grill is a hoppin BBQ eatery. On weekends, I would suggest to make reservations. The decor is western with authentic classic pieces like the turn of the century wagons, fire suppression vehicles, etc hanging from the ceiling. Our server provided wonderful service to our large party of 16. We were seated at 7pm and the prime rib special was already sold out. The smoked BBQ ribs were very flavorful. The meat fell off the bone. The smoked BBQ chicken was slightly overdone where the breast meat was dry.but the drumstick and thighs were tender. Everyone in our party enjoyed the selections they ordered. Overall, we enjoyed our experience at Red'd Old 395 Grill. I recommend you stop by Red's Old 395 Grill for a good meal when you're in Caron City.

Business trip with c. My second time coming here. Pretty packed tonight. About a 20 min wait. Server was friendly and food was good. Wood fired salmon. I got the petite size and it was tiny.

Pulled Pork Sandwhich at Red's Old 395 Grill.

I really really want to like this place, but unfortunately I'm never quite satisfied with the food here. This time I ordered The Californian. The Chicken was good, but the bun was so crumbly, my sandwhich literally fell apart. It also comes with diced green chiles, but sadly they were cold. It was like they went right from a can into my sandwhich. The only thing that made up for it, was the excellent service we recieved from our Server, Jacob. The restaurant has really cool decor and it feels cozy, but for me the food falls short every time. I'm pretty sure I'll be back somewhere down the line, but it won't be any time soon.

Quirky and fun decor! Old carriages hang from the ceiling throughout the inside. Roaring fire outside with picnic table style seating. Reservations available by phone. We walked in in a Friday around noon. Had about a :20 min wait for a two top outside. Lovely staff-always attentive and friendly We ordered the Mighty burger and the cheeseburger cheeseburger. Added an appetizer of their stuff jalapeño. Holy peppers! It's huge and delicious.

Good portions and plenty of options. Several of us took extra home. Ted's has a full bar and dozens of craft beers on tap. I recommend the Donner Party Porter. The BBQ is great but they also have salads. Some daily specials so it does change some days. We were able to get a table for eight during lunch on a weekday.

Beef brisket sandwich with baked beans and coleslaw

If you're in Carson City and looking for a fun, Old West-themed place to eat, check out Red's Old 395 Grill. It's hard to miss at 1055 S. Carson St., thanks to its rustic exterior and tall mining tower out front. Known mostly for their barbecue and fixin's, they've got a wide variety of menu items--but we always stick with the BBQ staples. We went on a busy Saturday afternoon but were seated in a reasonable amount of time. We ordered a couple of beers and took our time looking over the menu. In the end, we both landed on the brisket sandwich. I chose baked beans and coleslaw for my sides, and my husband went with extra crispy French fries and coleslaw. Our food arrived quickly, and the brisket sandwich was piled high with smoky, tender brisket and a mountain of crispy fried onion strings. Honestly, we could have split it. The baked beans were especially good, with several different kinds of beans and a deep, rich flavor. The fries were hot and perfectly crispy. The coleslaw was... well, coleslaw. All in all, a fun and filling lunch in a place full of personality. We'll definitely be back when we're in the mood for barbecue.

Michelle is, if available, your go to server. The food is tasty - we went bbq forward and didn't regret that, brisket is a highlight but the entire menu is delicious. Sides are a big and taaaasty! Margaritas are It could be out of the way but this was place is a lot of fun

Burger, pastrami sandwich, BLTA, fish & chips, and the brisket. The Tahoe IPA beer was great. Kids all ordered soft drinks, plenty of refills offered! We all enjoyed our meals, except brisket boy. He was expecting BBQ brisket, but the plate was more of a roast beef with gravy, mashed potatoes, and veggies. Fish & chips were pretty good, with 2 nice sized chunks of cod. The sandwiches were nice, burger solid! The fries were really good, seemed like fresh cut. When I looked at what others were enjoying, we observed that the wings look to stand out. On this occasion, we were celebrating the birthday of a close friend. Our party of 10 had plenty of room in one of the back rooms with gorgeous views out the windows. We started the evening with a healthy round of appetizers, including Calamari, Roast Duck and a plate of Mussels. While I didn't partake in the Mussels, I will say the Calamari was good but the Roast Duck was truly amazing. Such great flavor, cooked to a tender doneness and topped with a sweet sauce. The bread roll that preceded the appetizers was something special. Warm and wrapped in paper, it was like opening a Christmas present. The bread was soft, warm and delicious. Seriously good. I ordered a Prime Rib, one of the evenings specials. It was a generous portion, served with potatoes and veggies. The Prime Rib was cooked perfectly (Medium Rare ofcourse) with the right amount of marbleing and seasoning. This was perhaps one of the best, most flavorful Prime Ribs I have had in recent memory. My wife ordered the Macadamia Crusted Sea Bass. The fish was breaded and topped with the delicious Macadamia nuts. The fish was light and flaky with a wonderful outer snap. A perfect blend of textures and flavors. I would definitely order this again. My friends mother ordered the Lobster and Filet, Glen Eagle's version of Surf and Turf. I don't know if she realized just how big a 1 1/2 pound (24oz) Lobster really was. This thing was HUGE. Like some giant sea creature. The Filet while a generouse portion, looked puny by comparison. She said the Lobster was a amazing but in full transparency, most of it when home. :-) We had a big party and the restaurant was quite full by the time we left. This did not deter our server nor the bus staff. The staff was attentive, ensuring our waters and drinks were always full. With the orders of appetizers, it felt like there was a steady stream of food. Never felt like we ever waited. I know understand why Glen Eagle's is a favorite amoungst the locals, atleast those in the know. If you get a chance to visit Carson City, be sure to make time to dine at Glen Eagle's.

Every room has its own charm, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes the dining experience feel special. The staff were incredible friendly, welcoming, and attentive from the moment we arrived. The menu is impressive, but don't overlook the extensive list of specials. Portions are extremely generous. Everyone at our table thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The only reason for four stars instead of five was that the shrimp served with the halibut was overcooked, and the soup arrived only slightly warm rather than piping hot. The drinks were well made, there's plenty of convenient parking out front, and it's easy to see why Glen Eagles has remained a Carson City favorite for so many years. It's a local institution that's absolutely worth a visit.

What I received was an amazing blend of super tender pork in a slightly sweet but tangy BBQ sauce, mac n' cheese, and a perfectly cooked (not hard or dry), very generously sized potato (big enough for two). On a chilly day, when you're hungry, this absolutely fits the bill. Warming and savory, but well balanced, and not greasy. After some bowling or billiards? Perfect. I was thinking this was probably the best flavor, when I saw the rotating ad for....a spaghetti potato pie. Will have to come back and try other varieties. The cashier was very helpful and patient explaining the menu. Checked the website and looks like they update the menu with new options too. They say they're "dedicated to perfecting the art of the baked potato," and they're doing exactly that. Needless to say, they have room for special events and private parties. So if you are looking for a venue keep them in mind. The Prime Rib was outstanding. Indeed, it was the best Prime Rib I have had in a very long time. Our waiter and the Maitre de were outstanding. They made us all feel so welcome and almost like we were family. We all are still raving about the Prime Rib. There is something so wonderful about a place treating you like family. The human connection is something we all want. It is so awesome to feel appreciated and connected to our world and others. The staff here were outstanding. Everyone commented on the service we received. The appetizers and salads were tasty. The family members who had the salmon said it was excellent. Everyone was pleased with their meal. Portions are generous. All of us remarked on how good the food was. Not to mention, the price was right. The ambiance might be a little lacking. There are no tablecloths. However, keep in mind that tablecloths come with a cost of their own. They need to be laundered and then some need to be replaced. So there would be an added cost. So the question is would you prefer a little more ambiance or a cheaper price for an excellent meal? However, if you are looking for excellent service with delicious food at a reasonable price then this is the place for you. Not to mention, that the drive to Carson is beautiful. Plus there are plenty of things to do in Carson to enjoy. Perhaps it is time to beckon back to a slower pace of life. Take a nostalgic trip to Carson to see the Capitol all decorated for Christmas. We were told that the chef was on vacation. Should have just left then. Then after being seated and given menus, they came and took them back and gave us this paper revised menu since the head chef was out. Our actual waitress was Chelsea and she was fantastic. If not for her, I would give 0 stars if possible. The restaurant itself we really did not get to see much as we were tucked away in the 1st dining area by the entrance. No worries. It was nice and quaint inside and that's about where it stopped!! I asked about bread, and a different lady brought us 2 rolls that were barely room temp. Basically went from bag to bowl. We ordered our prime rib medium. As anything over that gets tough. We also ordered it with broccoli and when it arrived it had inedible asparagus. I mean they were so fibrous we could barely cut through them. Chelsea apologized and brough us out some broccoli on the side, and just like the rolls, it was barely room temp. Not her fault by no means. Now onto the very overly cooked prime rib. There was 0 pink in it. It was well done and very tough. It was also barely 1/4 inch thick. I mean the thinnest prime rib I have ever seen for supposedly being a 9oz. I have had 8oz at other restaurants twice the size of what we were served.. I managed to cut a couple pieces for my husband to eat. I dd not eat any of it. Basically we sent the majority of it back when we left. The only plus thing about this visit was the mashed potatoes and gravy. Still luke warm at best. I ate about 3 bites of food and was done with it. It was the worst prime rib I have ever seen/tasted in my life. Now Chelsea went and got our receipt for us, which of course was no charge, but if it was, I would have never paid 22.99 for what we received. It was that bad. Chelsea apologized several times and like we told her, you do not control what comes out on these plates. So yes she did get a nice cash tip for being such a sweet waitress and trying to do what she could. As far as the restaurant, we will not be going back for anything there. It is also only open Friday and Saturday from 4-close. I came home and made a sandwich for my now late dinner!
