    Chicken Teriyaki Bowl

I had the fruit crepe with Nutella and caramel latte, and I enjoyed both. My kids enjoyed the french toast and chicken teriyaki bowl. I liked that we were seated right away, the server took our orders shortly after being seated, and the food and drinks came out quickly. I would come back for their crepes

A few days ago, my friend and I had a most tasty breakfast here. Service was friendly, and the restaurant is light, bright and welcoming. And conveniently located in downtown Carson, so walkable if the weather is nice. My friend had bacon pancakes (they're apparently on a secret menu and come up on the bill as "cakes with fruit") and I had the veggie benedict. Everything was delicious and we hope to be back soon.

3.5 stars. Some may pass this breakfast/brunch spot on the main street for decades, before chancing in. There's a lithe easy staff of great waitresses that seem to float by in black. The pine booths that dominate are nice - the distracting giant tv screens put in overhead to repetitively show videos of pancakes are not. Menu is strong but not huge. Perfect bacon and impressive fresh squeezed OJ. You can get a bottle of Coke, but if you order a Coke they'll bring Pepsi alas. Old established locals quietly fill the place - which is a sign of a good restaurant. Recommend a booth for long conversations over pancakes - especially as the pro staff won't bother you.

I haven't had Heidi's in years since I was growing up in Tahoe in the 70's & 80's. When I recently learned there was one in Carson City, I knew we had to try it. It's a popular place on weekends so, expect a bit of a wait, but the wait is worth it! We enjoyed a fantastic breakfast with fantastic service in a nice clean and bright restaurant atmosphere. Their crepes were pretty epic as were my chilaquiles! They feed you huge portions so don't be surprised if you cannot finish! We've been back twice more since discovering this location. Enjoy!

Heidi's was just incredible! Such great diner dishes. We had a skillet and a wrap and both were very large. The veggie skillet (added chorizo) was the best option. The veggies were so perfect and the dish was such a great value. Can not wait to come back!

Food was excellent. Service was excellent. I got the California Omelette which was spinach, Monterrey Jack Cheese, and avocado. Wow! If you are in Carson City and looking for a breakfast joint... here it is.

If you're looking for a nice simple spot for breakfast or lunch in Carson City, check this place out! Heidi's is a nice, typical family restaurant that offers a variety of foods! My friends and I went to breakfast there and enjoyed going there. The staff are nice and friendly. I've been a few times and always have a pleasant experience. Food is good, comes out hot and ready to eat! Flavours are good and food is filling! The price is great and family friendly place. I'd recommend visiting for some good, simple dinning experience!

Every time I come here my mind is blown by the delectable food, attentive service and sweet ambiance. I don't know why I've never tried the Chilaquiles! This is probably the best Chilaquiles I've had in the reno/sparks/Carson area. The Chico's are fully coated in a lovely red sauce yet maintain a slight crispy center that is pure magic. Ask for the green sauce! In Sane. The NY Steak Oscar and eggs was delish too! Finally the traditional Benedict was superb. Excellent hollandaise sauce, too. I'm gluten free but often order the benes without the muffin 1but my daughter had it as is. Yummy!!

Heidi's is a perfect Carson City brunch stop! It's adorable, family owned, and always delicious! My family and I love coming here anytime we're passing through and our servers are always wonderful. For something sweet, I recommend the strawberry waffles. For something savory, the pan fried ham steak and eggs is fantastic!

We dined in last weekend before heading into the festival nearby. We arrived at the perfect time, we beat the breakfast rush. Our server was nice, but was a tad on the awkward side. Pancakes and a ham scramble were not pictured. The lechera crepes special was divine! The chile relleno breakfast was not my favorite and cheese was not melted. I wouldn't order that again. My only complaint was the coffee. It needs more of a kick, please add some more coffee to the pot. Lastly, the restaurant was cozy, but the flies were trying to land on our food. We'll be happy to revisit next time in North Carson. I'm hoping for a 5 star hot meal.

Patty Melt - I was surprised my wife got this, but she enjoyed it. She did say it was very oily and messy. I forgot to try your homestyle spuds... Just means I need to come back. Ambiance - A good size dinner; see pictures. Cool decor. Semi open kitchen. Free standing, approximately two store fronts. Counter or table seating, all indoor. Plenty of mall parking. Open 7 days a week 6am to 2pm. Clean restrooms. Service - Just okay. It took a while for the waitress to acknowledge us. I know she was busy and I believe there were only two waitresses and one bus girl. But she literally walked by us 10 times without saying anything and with no eye contact, nothing. A simple, "I will be right with you" would have been nice. Once she got to our table, approximately 10 minutes later, it was a more positive experience. The one young bus girl is a hard worker and was nicer. Price - $24.20 + tip. Reasonably priced. Well in today's environment, it is inexpensive. Cash only (or checks); no credit or debit cards. They do have an ATM inside. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success 1980. And all your family's successes in the Bay Area, CA. See pictures and their decor.

The staff was friendly, organized, and kept everything moving smoothly. We enjoyed sitting on the shaded patio while we waited for our table. The food was outstanding. Our table ordered everything from the chilaquiles and breakfast burritos to pancakes, bacon, eggs, and the famous coconut-crusted French toast. Every plate was delicious, the portions were generous, and everything came out hot and fresh. The coconut French toast absolutely lived up to the hype! The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and it's the kind of local place you hope to find when you're traveling. If you're visiting South Lake Tahoe, do yourself a favor and have breakfast or lunch at The Getaway Cafe. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Tahoe!

I ordered the deluxe eggs benedict, which they kindly added chorizo to in lieu of Canadian bacon; my boyfriend ordered the sausage, biscuits and gravy; and we shared the coconut french toast because we just really wanted to try it! The servings are large but we ate nearly everything, and needless to say we were stuffed! I absolutely loved the chorizo--might be my favorite from a restaurant. The French toast was nearly perfect too, as it was thick and soft / moist but not soggy. I loved the coconut but feel the normal French toast would've been great too. Everything tasted fresh and house-made, as they say it is. The staff was incredibly nice and I believe the owner was at the front hosting people, which goes to show the service, thought and effort that goes into this place! Will definitely come back when in the area again.

They also have an incredible beer selection with well over 100 beers on the menu, so there's something for everyone. A word of advice make reservations if you can. The wait was nearly an hour and it's easy to see why. We started with the fry bread and the jalapeño bombs. The fry bread was delicious, but those jalapeño bombs were an absolute 10/10 and a must-order. We originally came for the prime rib, but unfortunately they had already sold out around 6 p.m., which was definitely disappointing. Thankfully, the food that did make it to our table erased that disappointment pretty quickly. We ordered the two-meat BBQ plate with ribs and brisket, and both were cooked to perfection. The meat was tender, smoky, and paired perfectly with their delicious BBQ sauce. We also tried the spicy pot pie, which was unlike any pot pie I've had before, in a good way. It reminded me of an enchilada baked inside a buttery, flaky crust, and it was fantastic. The service was equally impressive. I feel terrible that I can't remember our server's name because he absolutely deserves the recognition. He was friendly, attentive, and made our entire experience even better. Between the amazing food, outstanding service, and unique atmosphere, this ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. We had a 45 minute wait which I don't mind being that it was a Saturday night, but after being sat at our table it took more then 25 minutes for our server guy to come around and take our order for a soda and an Iced tea! As far as the food I think that we enjoyed your sample that was given at Taste of Downtown more than the almost $80 meal that my wife and I had that night! Wife had the Brisket sandwich which looking at the menu you'd think it would be 2-3 slices of brisket accommodating the bread and fixn's, Nope it it came out like pulled pork or canned beef jerky. I had the half chicken meal and I guarantee the the reason our meals were cold, was probably because the waiter was sitting at the table by the left rear wheel of the steam paver in the lobby instead of bringing our food out and we had to ask the server for the table behind us for a few boxes and our check!
