I hate to say it because I was really looking forward to this place but this place was the worst pizza I've ever had. My family ordered their fire wings, ham & pineapple pizza, and garlic chicken pizza. Not only did they look incredibly unappetizing, with matchstick ham slices that looked like worms and chicken pieces so large they took up the entire slice, but there was hardly any flavor. The crust was burnt, there was probably a very thin layer of sauce and the wings were cold. The price is about the same you would get at Round Table or Mountain Mikes but the only difference, is these chains have far better pizza. Neither I nor my family enjoyed the food from this place, we threw out most of what we got, and I wouldn't recommend anyone going further. The reason I'm giving it two stars is that while the wings were cold, they actually tasted pretty good after we warmed them up and the service there was nice. Pizza so bad they need to close their doors or at least change their name. I'm a big fan of pizza plus usually it's by far the best pizza you can find in the valley. I have been to many of the other locations around such as Waterford, Ripon, Hilmar, Patterson and Gold Dust pizza in Oakdale witch is basically the same thing. Being that these are all franchises with different owners i understands their are all a little bit different but the pizza is always amazing. When i discovered this location in Riverbank i was all excited until i got home. Usually my pizzas are big greasy with so much cheese you need a fork to eat it. The pizza i received today was dry Barely any cheese no flavor. Kind of comparable to a subpar frozen pizza from the grocery store at best. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. look i know things are tight these days but it's better to close doors then to cut corners. At least they need to change their name so someone like me won't be so disappointed when their expecting something of quality. read more

I have been a patron of Pizza Plus in Riverbank for 28 years and today I am no more. I ordered a combination pizza and my son ordered a pepperoni pizza. I was so disappointed when I opened the box to see the combination pizza with missing toppings that in the past have been part of the combination pizza. Whoever made a the pizza also put the bare minimum of toppings on both the pepperoni and combination pizza. The amount of toppings on the pizzas looked like pizzas you buy at Little Ceasars. The only thing that was the "same" were the cheese sticks. I have raved about Pizza Plus to others about the best pizza ever and not anymore. My new place is Gold Dust Pizza in Oakdale. I rather drive out of town to get the best pizza. I'm not sure if the business has a new owner or if management is trying to save money by cutting back on toppings but my business is now with Gold Dust Pizza. read more

I love pizza and Pizza Plus is amazing. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I always call ahead of time as I drive all the way from Ceres. Last Sunday I called before I left my house. The girl picked up the phone didn't say 'Pizza Plus please hold' Someone simply picked up and said hold. I was put on hold and could hear the workers talking in the background. I stayed on hold for about 20 mins all while listening to them talk. I made it from Ceres to Riverbank by the time someone confused picked up the phone and said Pizza Plus. They quickly apologized and my order was put in quickly. I believe it was the owner or manager that gave us 30% off. Thank you! We booked the party room and when we arrived they had another party going on, we shared the room but it was so noisy that we could hear ourselves. We had a party of 14, ordered separately, each party received their pizzas 15-20 minutes apart with one order was never made, instead of them telling us the truth about forgetting to make it they kept lieing saying that in was in the oven. I gotta say, i've heard about Pizza Plus from two of my friends for the last 2 years. Just rave reviews. On and On and On about how this is the best pizza they've EVER eaten. How there are never left overs when it comes to Pizza Plus. To top it all off they even told me that they BOTH worked at Mountain Mikes but would only eat Pizza Plus! i was in disbelief but even my friend from Oakland was impressed with Pizza Plus so i knew it was more than just being stuck in a small town where there was a shortage of Round Tables or Cybelles. So finally, after 2 years of anticipation... I went. Driving up from LA i had to make a pit stop in Riverbank (my first ever) and try PIzza Plus. I was running late and found out that it closes at 9 pm while i was in Bakersfield and sped up just so i could get this chance! My friend was stoked and so he pre-ordered just so that we wouldn't miss out and that the pizza for the gods would be ready when i arrived. That was the mistake unfortunately. Good thought, bad planning. It was mainly my fault though running late and getting lost. What do you expect though? I'm from the Oakland, a real city and Riverbank with it's population of 15,826 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riverbank,_California) is far from a large city which explains the miles and miles of corn fields separating one street light to the next and dark street signs. I felt like I was disturbing the set of Children of the Corn (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Children_of_the_Corn) Downtown Riverbank was about 5 miles from the freeway. So anyways, i go and pick up my friend and his little brother and everyone is super excited about this Pizza Plus. We get there and it's a small unassuming place with some locals just chillin watching the Raiders preseason on TV. The pizza is actually quite expensive. It was a total of $34 for a xlarge (Combo) and a personal (Hawaiian). But i guess that's what you pay for quality unlike Dominos 5 pizzas for $5.00 or something. We decided to go back to my friends place to eat the pizza since the place was about to close. Anticipation was growing by the minute. We get back and i can't wait to dig in. First bite.... Eh, it's okay. Kind of cold. Second bite... Eh, better, ingredients seem fresh. Fifth slice.... I gotta say, not bad. The crust is what gets ya. It's chewy yet crunchy. Like as if it has cheese in the middle but it doesn't. And the ingredients are pretty fresh and they pile it on to make it a meal. The verdict, It's good but i definitely have to conduct a side by side with my favorite pizza. Round Tables or Cybelles. That will be the final showdown. The one thing they do really well is put a lot of toppings on the pizza and still keep the crust from getting soggy. I really am a big fan of Pizza Plus, and they were my go to pizza joint... but they're delivery is pretty sketchy. The last three times I have called, all different days of the week and never too late they haven't had drivers available. Heaven on Earth! Pizza is delicious, great sauce flavor, perfect amount of cheese, crisp pepperoni and crust! Garlic and cheese breadsticks with marinera are equally delicious. There was a gentleman tossing the dough in the kitchen which made the experience so amazing. My go to spot for pizza. My baber Jay has a shop next door and kept telling me about how good the food was. He told me to try a calzone after my cut. I brought it home (pepperoni, ham, and jalapeno) and it was probably the best thing I've ever had from a pizza place. Needless to say when I'm solo or after a cut I grab a calzone for lunch but if I'm with the wife and kids we get a large pizza which has the best crust you can imagine.
