To Jersey Mike's Subs in Modesto,Ca. What a hassle trying to get a coupon for a free sub after your employee screwed up my order! We placed a takeout order for 2 sub sandwiches and picked them up approximately 10 minutes later. After getting home and unwrapping the sandwiches I noticed that my sandwich had not been made correctly. I had ordered a Club Sub which is supposed to have bacon and mayo on it and it had neither. I was not happy so, I called Jersey Mike's and complained to the assistant manager who stated I only had to get on their website and fill out their form and I would get a coupon emailed to me for a remake probably within 24 hours. The Jersey Mike's corporate office in New Jersey emailed me 2 days later making a point to say each Jersey Mike's is individually owned so, they really can't do anything other than send the info to the owner. Corporate asked me for the ticket # which of course I no longer had because the assistant manager did not tell me it was needed which I explained when I responded. I then received another email asking for the date of the order, method of purchase, last 4 digits of my credit card and the total amount of the purchase which I then gave them. Today I received another email thanking me for the info and they would forward it to the owner. Geez, Jersey Mikes......is this how it goes for your customers when your employee screws up an order? As well as being given misinformation from the assistant manager on the remake coupon process? A total of 5 emails and still no coupon and it's now a week later. I think we will order from Togos from now on to avoid the hassle. Their sandwiches are better anyway. read more

Wife had been craving an Italian sandwich but surprisingly not too many places carry this? Had never been here before so we got their Italian sandwich which my wife enjoyed very much and I tried a turkey avocado which was pretty good. Kind of weird as you have to go to the side entrance to be in their actual front entrance.... My wife usually orders by phone and we pick up the sandwiches and go. Today, a friend and I went in to order and take out. 1) the place is very clean, 2) friendly greeting when we walked around the entrance, 3) extremely polite and helpful workers, 4) but certainly not last, the sandwiches were huge, the meats were fresh sliced, the toppings were all fresh not wilted, the roll was delicious and the entire sandwich was excellent. This is a really good sandwich shop. The meats are sliced fresh right in front of you. The condiments are fresh. The bread rolls are fresh and soft. The service is great and impressive. I'm usually there around lunchtime and the crew is banging out orders. Always friendly and welcoming while whipping out sandos for the people. My go to sammies are The Original Italian and Jersey Shore Favorite. The ambiance is clean, fast paced, friendly, sandwich shop. I really like this spot. I had to take away one star because they don't have my son's sandwich Hot Pastrami or my daughter's sandwich French Dip. Another odd thing they don't have here is mustard. I have Celiac and one thing I have recognized as a constant so far about this restaurant chain is how diligent they are about keeping the area clean and safe for my sandwich and having specific equipment for my sandwich! We love jersey mikes...but only when we can customize our orders! Please fix your GrubHub so that I can select what I do/don't want on a hot sandwich. I love oil, vinegar, and red pepper, but I don't have those options. In "hot sandwiches" you are only shown what comes with it. Cold sandwiches are fully customizable. I visited on a random Monday. The store was super busy maybe 7 people ahead of me. Also, this was my first time ever having Jersey Mikes. I was warmly greeted by Zeek and he assured I would be helped right away. The sandwich itself was tasty the rosemary bread divine. Nicely presented as well. More than the sandwich was Zeek's energy. My experience here might not have been the best but the sandwich was! It was pilled high with all the meats I love and so favorable! The sandwich was huge! I always get the original Italian on wheat and I sub the ham for turkey and I get all the topping. The bread was fresh and they slice the meats right in front of you. I do compare my sandwiches to other places and this place always hits my cold cut craving. Stopped going to other places for sure. As far as the the people behind the counter, super nice and very eager to make the experience a five star! The person behind the counter even remembered customers orders showing they care about their customers. There was also an elderly lady, very sweet, who had a ton of questions and they were so nice to her. Felt like jersey Mikes really cares about the community. As far as the experience in the lobby....not the greatest. An employee while they were on their break, which I get, was having an intense conversation over the phone and I over heard everything. When I go to Jersey Mikes or any restaurant really I don't go there to listen to employees drama. I didn't eat in peace. I had to keep getting up and tried to move but my sandwich was already open.
